With BB, YOU normally have a data plan at the level of the BB to your provider. In any case only your operator can tell you what services you should and not wait to work based on the level of data plan you have of them.

1. your tech support number is your mobile phone service provider. You need to call, no RIM. You will pay an incident charged for direct support from RIM calling them initially.
2. you can download the operating system of your device and load it on your PC. Launch Desktop Manager > Oat6 Loader and make sure that BlackBerry Maps is checked. Follow the prompts to install.
3. on your browser > Options > Identification Identification of the browser, select BlackBerry and try again download of BlackBerry Maps.

I'm in the United Kingdom. My service provider is O2. They tell me that it should be possible to connect to my Wifi at home. It doesn't seem to be an option to do this on my phone. Is it because this model (8310) does not have this capability? Or am I missing something?

Unfortunately, not... the BlackBerry Desktop Software is required to retrieve information about the device protected databases. They are not available in Windows Explorer.
What is happening with not being able to install DM? Something goes wrong? Or you may even try?

BlackBerry Smartphones Roxio Media Manager installation problem
My Desktop Manager recently updated itself to the version 5. Twelve Shortlly I started to get the error messages from the Windows Installer tries to configure Roxio Media Manager and do not find a roxio Media Manager individual .msi file. It is a very insistent installation routine because no amount of 'Cancel' or the restart doesn't eliminate the process. Very frustrating. The error message is asking me to specify a different path to the folder containing the installation package, but it is not found by my browing. Maybe it's somewhere else?
What should I do or cancel this installation to complete it? Really, I don't like whatever it is, because I don't use a lot of Media Manager. Thanks in advance for your help.
If you do not use the Media Manager, I suggest to remove it completely. From my experience it caused problems with the Desktop Manager software. I would uninstall the Desktop Manager. Uninstall Blackberry Destkop Manager (DTM) using this guide: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02206

Is it possible to use push email (or use the built-in email client) without a BIS data plan?
Long story short - the only carrier that I can has plans of standard data for phones, but no BB data plans.
I was wondering if I get a "BOLD", if I can still use my email (which is what I need for more than the net), or if it will be a paperweight.

There are a few ways to use the features of the BB without the BB data plan, but most of them does not give you a good experience of the phone.
You can use Tiggitmail that downloads IMAP/POP without BB data plan.
Also the GMail Mobile client can be used without a mobile BB plan.
Regarding the navigation - when under Wifi coverage, you can use the browser integrated into the BB Hotspot, and where you have UMTS/HSDPA coverage only, you can use Opera Mini.

BlackBerry smartphone Print to Go - installation hangs
Installation of Print to Go has not completed on my Win 7 - x 64 laptop. The installation screen with the "it can take several minutes', the bar end went to the far right, but installation has not completed, even after 4 hours of waiting. I have to use the Task Manager to close the application. When I try to reinstall, I see a screen asking if I want to repair or uninstall. I choose to repair and get a message saying "error 1500. Another installation is in progress. You must complete that installation before continuing this one. "I have to restart my PC for free from the app. When I look at the installed Progams and features after reboot, Print to Go is not included. I go through the process of installing new but same result... installation does not complete. I also tried to disable the anti-virus without profit, same result.

Then, after a lot of troubleshooting and inspect the logs, I realized that she was hung on the command "net start spooler" in the installation script. Then I noticed that the net was hung in the Task Manager. I was able to complete the installation by putting an end to this process running. After that, the routine installation 'no inflected' and have been presented successfully install and the printer PrintToGo was present under printers. My new BB 9900 developed a fault. I have saved on my laptop computer and brought it to the O2, where he was sent for repair. It seems that my old camera is wrong me back, but replaced by a new one. I bought a new 9900 BB until I couldn't do without a phone. Can someone please tell me how do I get my information from my laptop, because I don't have the old device in order to use the function of switch-on device. Is it possible to load the data on my present 9900 without the old appliance? I'm desperate!
You should be able to.restore the backup in Desktop Manager help - don't be a swap of the device.

Update blackBerry Smartphones BB 9300-Os/reinstall without access to a pc
Been struggling with my bb for 2 weeks now... Initially world bb would not open up, I deleted, re-installed, no joy, then I did a back up, security wipe - tried to restore... Could not blonde I forgot my password ID... If new ID., bb. Installed the bb world worked for 1 day to the original problem... Now my email address does not work when I try an email to installation it is said that my security settings will not allow installation. When I enter my email security wipe wipe function is selected. I can't deselect. Seems to me that a reinstallation of the operating system is necessary unfortuantley I do not have access to a pc at the moment and need to know if there is a way to do a reinstall/upgrade without pc... Don't miss my bb world and hate not having e-mail since I use it for work... Please someone help me!

Would like to pass so I can download most current applications, I see that you have need of blessing and access
a business to do so. Gee, download CD or the internet, would be a good way to upgrade my 9000 "BOLD" instead.

2. it's not bad to do a manual of your device first, backup using the Desktop Manager > backup. Close at the end Office Manager and disconnect it from BlackBerry. You can get the BlackBerry Desktop Software here http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/
3. download the OS from step 1 of the file on the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
4. go into c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml." Also, check the following locations for the vendor.xml file and delete all instances of the file:
On Windows Vista/7, go to C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Roaming\Research in XML Motion\BlackBerry\Loader (where 'YOUR_USER' is your user name)
