• BlackBerry Smartphones where can I find the Media Manager for my office?

  OK I just looked at my records that I received with my BB Storm the other day.  It's the 9530.  There is only the VCast & BB media sync, but the button for Media Manager does not work... I watched the disc and there no Media Manager... now what?  I am running Windows Vista Premium Home OS, and I have the Desktop Manager 4.7 version.  Where the hell is the Media Manager and since I can't find it, y at - it a downloadable version of it somewhere on the net?  Please HELP I am ready to pull my hair!

  I had to talk to the reps to Blackberry and apparently some discs did NOT have the media for a reason Manager any.  The option was left aside.

  After much frustration, I finally got my answer.

  Format your card of media phones first, it on your phone.  Once done you will have a folder on your computer, when the phone is plugged into the computer, which said device BLACKBERRY and BLACKBERRY Media Card.  You can simply drag and drop into specified folders (for me it was the videos).

  If you already have a converter media it is the perfect way to do it and the video should be MP4 (at least that's all so far, I have converted)

  For the Media Manager, go here: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/ but make sure you that you have uninstalled the Manager of the desktop of your computer first, and then re - install using the download from the link above.  I did it and it works fine now.

  FYI - the Roxio is slower than the second coming during the conversion.  First use the reformat your phone option, and then use roxio if you do not have a Media Converter.  There are other media there converters that are much faster.  I have one for my Zune that allows to convert a movie in about 20 minutes or more and then it's in the right format for the phone.

  If you have a full backup of the old Blackberry, use this .ipd file to restore only the contacts on the new device.

  If your contacts are up to date in Outlook do a one-way Outlook for contacts device synchronization.

  Thank you very much for your reply, I use windows 8.1! I found the problem: to install the new version installation needs the program old installation (but I have remove all the installer, because they use a place a lot on hard drive (SSD)).

  I have uninstall all Adobe and reinstalled, I save the full installer on an external drive. When the installer asked the former installer I indicate to programm my drive external and everything works fine now.

  Thanks so much for your help, I just do not delete the old file (sad having to save old installler just to install the new).

  Check the settings on your iPhone.  Have you enabled iCloud photo library in the settings > iCloud > Photos on your iPhone?  Or "my photo stream?

  If you have iCloud library active on your and your iPhone photos sync iCloud and from there will to all your devices.

  If you do not want to synchronize on your iPhone photos, clear the iCloud photo library, but do not allow to delete photos from iCloud, or they will be removed the Mac as well.  With the removal of your iPhone, wait until all iCloud photo options have been disabled.

  NEW INFORMATION. The device stores only beep if the wireless connection with the carrier is active. If it s off the beeps stops. I m using Claro to the Brazil.

  I found the solution. This is a bug beetween the network operator's SIM card software and the BlackBerry device. It s already solved. I had to follow certain steps to enable and disable a specific feature of the network operator and wait a dialog box confirm my operation.

  The beeps comes with the dialog box, but the apears only dialog box if you are in a specific screen of the blackberry. If you are in the home screen, it will not appear and you hear the beep.

  This I know is not new to too many of us. Again - it's November 2013 and I would like to know how it happened AND what to do to fix it! Since 1997, I've built a lot of computers. I've never had this problem occur up to this relocation. Have reinstalled XP for XPSP3 several times. Don't waste time questioning my knowledge. Idem: components, motherboard, memory, nothing has CHANGED. The only thing that is different IS - when I finished installing Windows XP with Windows XPSP3 - tested the functionality - fast as * - magazine 'OBSERVER of EVENTS' - no problem, constantly check the CPU usage - low. My next step to activate Windows update to get updates to secure my system. Of course, the CPU spikes at 100% - due to a service request host CPU! I have to say - IF the meter would have a parameter to 200% - I have no doubt she would be higher than 100%. Even if I am sure of the rightness of my process to install the OS (once I've done several times over the years), I decided since I have not loaded any other thing - I format the drive (Nov 19) and start all over again. I'm sitting here today, with a computer case with components of audited operation, with a properly installed OS, motherboard drivers installed - do anything else and I can't do windows updates. Note: the first attempt install (17 Nov) - I tried the advice on Microsoft sites, the fix it systematic, installation recommended a version of net framework without result. There are also other tips to run a routine (don't ask--I do not dig up these data) in 'safe' mode which also failed to remedy. Frankly, I rarely use advice of experts even out there, but I decided that if it worked or not - I wanted a new facility, one last time to have a computer working properly that I built myself and gift. I'm getting old - at a time of my life when you start to reduce their material possessions.   Follow these steps.

  Go to Start | Settings | Control Panel and double click on automatic updates.

  Check mark the option at the bottom to turn off the automatic updates.

  Click apply/OK, and then restart.

  Svchost consumes always 100% cycles CPU?

  If this is the case, follow these steps.

  Click Start, run, copy and paste this command and click OK: services.msc

  In the list of Services, you can see Background Intelligent Transfer Service ?

  If it is not listed, follow these steps to register the BITS service.

  Open the Windows search tool, copy / paste the following text, and then click Search: qmgr.dll

  Research should show this file in the following locations:

  C:\Windows\System32
  C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386
  C:\WINDOWS\system32\bits

  It may be present in C:\WINDOWS\system32, but if you can see it, follow these steps to register the service.

  Restart the PC and then go to the Services and you should be able to see BITS in the list.
  Double click on it and then on the general tab, click the Start button to start the service manually. This is just a test to make sure that it works correctly.

  If you get 2 error: cannot find the specified file, click on start, then run again and copy / paste the following command, and then click OK:
  Tracking Add HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\BITS\Parameters /v ServiceDll /t REG_EXPAND_SZ /d %windir%\System32\qmgr.dll

  Reboot again and try once more to start the PIECES. It should work fine now, but in the unlikely case where it fails again, run the following command, and then press ENTER:
  Reg add HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\BackupRestore\FilesNotToBackup

  Reboot once more and then do the following.

  With automatic updates, you want to lose the data stored on the system.

  Once removed the HDD data can't be recovered. However, you can use your favorite search engine to browse third-party data recovery software and use this software to recover data.

  Why it is not possible to update lightroom (creative cloud) with the application manager? That said, I use the latest version (4.1). But the most recent is 4.4. My lightroom 4.1 is buggy...

  Try to go to the Manager of the Application and in the applications menu, click the Lightroom, because it would be showing the latest version that is LR 4.4.
