BlackBerry Smartphones loaded v4.5 OS update - preloaded Images Gone

I loaded the update to version 4.5 OS on my 8330 Curvie device, and I noticed that my preloaded images are all gone.  'My photos' there is always everything.  Does anyone know how I would recover the preloaded images?  Thanks for the help.

Some versions of OS 4.5 do not include preloaded images.

If you wish, read the tips and instructions from this link.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB Messenger disappeared after update

I downloaded the new update to Blackberry Device Software v5.0 yesterday, and I discovered that my Blackberry Messenger has disappeared.  Here's what I tried to get it back (and none of them worked):

1A tried to 'restore' my BBM several times

2 reset (pull out the battery) on my phone several times

    3. delete the "restore BBM" button/option (which, for whatever reason, deleted my application AppWorld) and re-installed BBM

My phone details are below.  If you have any suggestions on how I can fix this, please help!  I love BBM and I would like to start using it again.

KB10151 BlackBerry Messenger icon does not appear on the BlackBerry smartphone

I found the fix that works is to remove the app BBMessenger Options > Advanced > Applications.

Then restart: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

Once back to the top, then use your BlackBerry browser to go to http://www.blackberry.com/blackberrymessenger and download and install the application again.

Once completed and restart the device once again, look in the instant messaging or downloads folder.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones SLOW Bold 9780 since update

Since an update was performed on my Bold 9780, it was as slow as molasses and sometimes it does not connect to the internet.

Before the update, he promptly, always connected without problem and even received my emails until they arrive on my computer.

I'm with Telus and I have a 1 GB data plan. When I asked them, they said that others have had similar problems and that Blackberry was working on a new update to fix the problem. Anyone heard anything or anyone know how to fix this?

    Thank you

The slow and the delay could be due to three elements.

    • On your device, Memory Cleaner works in the Security Options? If so, turn it off. It does nothing for you.
    • Close all applications running correctly? See below for more details.
    • What is free your file options > device > status?

To avoid a freezing response development or late / slow on any BlackBerry, most important practice that you can adopt is to ensure applications CLOSE when you are finished using them.

If you simply press the Red "end call" key to return to the home screen application is actually open and running in the background. If you do this several times, you will have many apps open and therefore your memory will get used. Lack of memory is the main reason for your BlackBerry slows to a crawl or crashes. If you make a habit of actually use the menu button to close the applications that will at least slow this process memory-clogging. You may still do a battery pull or using the "Quickpull" app from time to time when things get slow.

To check what applications run on your device in the background, press the Menu key, and then click switching Applications. You will see icons for each application it.

So now, check your applications running in the background. There are four or five applications that will always run fluently (Messages, Call Logs/phone, BlackBerry Messenger, home screen and the browser; there are other third-party applications such as BeeJive and alerts of BlackBerry that will work also in the bottom that you can not close if you want they work). Ensure that the browser is NOT on an active Web page (open the browser and select the Menu > close). Close all other applications that do not need to be running (the camera or a game you were playing or Google Maps).

  • BlackBerry Smartphones not able to download updated version of the OS for Pearl 3 G updated

I received a notice from Blackberry to an update available to the OS (5.0.0.882) but I'm unable to download wireless, via Blackberry Desktop or via the Blackberry site. My current version is 5.0.0.629. My service provider, Rogers Wireless, has no version 5.0.0.882 available on their web page. I get an error message indicating that an error occurred when downloading software for your device. Please check your internet connection or try again later, if the problem persists. I tried to update using my desktop and my laptop and can find no explanation either on the Blackberry site, nor the site Web of Rogers Wireless.

Hello Shad14 and welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

I checked on the Rogers www.blackberry.com download site and I see the 5.0.0.882 bundle is now listed. You can click here to access the site.

Try to download the software directly to your computer and use the BlackBerry Desktop Manager to perform the update.

Let me know how make you out.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Messge to error on update firmware

I am currently installing the os Update Version 7.1 Bundle 1310 on my Bold 9900 on the Rogers network.

I've attached a screenshot of the error message I get. My internet connection is fine.  The same message always appears when downloading reached 731 module.

Can someone help me with this?  Roges was their typical bouquet useless and unable to provide me with any real support.

    Thank you.

I recommend you to download the file of the BONES of the Rogers site directly.  Here's how to do it.

    1. download the OS here: https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=1905AEDAB9BF2477EDC068A355BBA31A

    2. double-click on the OS file you downloaded to install it on the PC.

    3. navigate to c:\program files\common search in motion\apploader and double-click on "loader.exe".

This executes the shell of the base charger and is more reliable than the Desktop Manager upgrade process.  He'll do a backup before the update of the OS, but it's never wrong to do a manual backup with the Desktop Manager just to be safe.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Lost version complete the updated blackberry app

I was wondering if anyone else might have had a similar problem. I paid for an app, photo loader screen and when I updated my blackberry curve 8530 the app that was there when it restarted waas unpaid without version. It only bothers me because I had the full paid version.

Whenever you purchase an app you must save the registration code somewhere safe if you can re-introduce again, if necessary. I store all my people in password keeper.

Where have you bought the app? You will need to contact the promoter to get returned to you registration code.

When I run the listing via the office of accreditation, the total memory used (added by me) is 66.1 MB more 3693 KB.  This is based on the memory that the listing of the ap said that picks up every application.  So about 70 MB total.

Says memory device total ap is 124 MB.  This means that I should have about 54 MB of available space?  Unless I'm missing something?

But the device lists available ap as only 19 MB memory (immediately upon restart after pressing the battery)

I could not install the last update (or rather the last one I tried updating, perhaps there was more since, I do not know) because it says that I need 33 MB to do.

The device memory - total space Mo 879,2; 864,5 mb free space

map of total support 7.3 GB of space

    5.0.0.32 device software version 8

What takes this additional memory of ap and how enough space to download the update?

I tried to download the update once, but he wouldn't let me finish... it's somehow possible that the update takes place without actually be completely installed?  Which would bring the numbers more closely to what they should be - if 33 MB is used by the update... If Yes, how can I delete and start over?

When I run registration ap via the desktop software - the update is listed on the access point main list, with a status of "available".  And confess to 33.8 mb.  He appears again at the bottom under "consolidated request" - it is the only element that there are listed.  Under the column "pending action", it says "update".

When I select/hilight an item in the list of the main application, when I select 'BB 5.0.0 core applications', the 'updated' appears just below, and they are hilighted together, not separate the elements.  Although they each have their own amount of memory use (14.1 MB for basic applications) and 33.8 MB for the update

Yes, I sometimes forget to close the correct way - but I don't go as battery pull - and the available memory info above was immediately after a battery pull...

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Berit

First of all, don't try to do the math of memory on the device - used application space, because the math won't never worked that you think he could. Extra space is used by the application data third ECT is not counted in your totals, as well the browser cache and the media map caches and other things.

You can do your upgrade in this way:

See the link below for download and simple installation instructions.

First find your operator and the system operating file that you want to use.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

Make a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close the office at the end Manager.

    1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
    2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

    Good luck.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones New 9900 s - cannot update cell phones

Just bought two 9900 and installed (twice so far) the program BB Desktop Software. The difficulty to complete the update of the first phone software. Finally managed to configure and then synchronize the phone. However, under the 'Applications' tab in the desktop software, there was a software update and two other programs to install (I think that's something DOD and another to install.) When I launched the update and install, I could see the files being downloaded apparently, but now the screen appears to be locked in the applications of update - update - box device software download, with the green circle progress assets. The progress at the bottom of the box bar says "Connecting to the boot ROM" above him, but there is no indication of progress in the last 3 hours. Is this process at a standstill on / locked or is - it normal to have no feedback on installation? The box also says, "do not unplug the unit before the day is over". Thank you very much.

Thanks for the reply. I got a bit of a workaround for my particular situation. I had tried several times to use the Blackberry Desktop program on a Windows XP virtual machine, that will run on a linux host (as bb is not so far seem to think to provide a linux version of the program for linux users is worth.) Subsequently, I decided to get the wireless working on the laptop, what boots double and install the program office bb on xp he. Although she gave me even a few error messages, I could do the update of the OS and install the 2 other programs on my bb. Also found my outlook contacts and their transfer to my cell. All's well that ends well I guess. Thank you very much.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones keep restarting after new update BBmessenger

You are able to reboot your device in SafeMode as shown in KB17877?

I guess, because it is taken in a reboot cycle, when you connect to the desktop software it does not have a stable connection to reinstall your software?

If this is the case, remove the battery and keep it off when you connect to the desktop software. You will get a pop up that the device cannot connect and there should be buttons retry, update and cancel. Select Update and you will then be able to reinstall the latest version of the device software.

When the load progresses, you will see a step that says "waiting for initialization of the devices '. At this point, insert the battery and recharging must complete.
