BlackBerry Smartphones Messages folder displays only e-mails not SMS messages.

Hello, I just changed a Pearl to a Curve 8900 and I'm having a bit of trouble getting the same functuionality.

My messages folder only shows emails I sent and received and not SMS or MMS messages that I've sent and received.  This means that when I receive a TEXT Message, I have to go in the main Blackberry screen and highlight the icon 'SMS and MMS' but I think I should be able to access the SMS messages sent/received from the "Messages" icon on the home screen.  I can create the "Messages" icon SMS messages, but they do not stay there after that that they were sent.

I could have explained this poorly, but any help would be popular.  The only thing I did to try a fix is pull on the battery, to no avail.

Thank you

Hi and welcome to the forums!

On the Blackberry go to the queue main, menu, options, general, options.

Scroll to SMS and Email in the boxes, select handset. Now SMS will appear in the main queue

(You have described very well!)

Thank you

  • Icon/folder blackBerry Smartphones Messages shows * no. Messages *.

    Hi all

I have used my turn for the fews last month now and have the habit of working mainly on my Messages icon to display all of my daily messages (3 e-mail accounts, sms/mms, facebook, etc.) so that I don't have to go through each individual icon throughout the day to get my messages. I recently left my phone unattended during my roommates play with and now my Messages icon always shows * no. Messages * in the same folder, if the folders for each of the msg/facebook messaging sms/accounts/bb say that I have no new messages. My roommates and I went through all the different settings and tried to set it up to where it was, but he cannot know. How do I reconfigure my settings so that messages appear in the Messages file/icon?

With the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

See if that helps. The main Messages icon, as you said, should get all messages unless disable you it in Facebook and separate your SMS in his file.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones messages folder contains the phone records

    Hello

I have also 8700g V4.5.0.55 (Platform 2.7.0.68).  I noticed that a folder contains not only e-mails, but also the phone logs (records of call missed, outgoing call, call entering, etc.) in the same folder.  How can I get rid of this?  My "BOLD" is not phone shows logs in the messages folder.

One last thing, is possible to turn off the led status when it is charging - like "BOLD" when you put in bedside Mode.  I thought I did once but can't remember how I did it.

    Thank you.

Hi darwin. To make sure you don't see any phone call info in your messages, press send (green button) and then press menu. Go to options and enable logging of the calls. Select None, and're you good to go. Insofar as the LED flashes during charging, I'm sure that there is not a way to disable this option on your model. The only thing I can think is it turns the face down or introduce it in a case or something I hope I've been helpful!

  • BlackBerry smartphone messaging issue curve 9320

    Hi all!

the e-mail on my 9320 function does not work correctly. I have correctly configured my gmail on mydevice account and I get emails and receive notifications when they arrive, HOWEVER...

When I opened the email all I see is heading for the topic and who it is from, there is no message body. Looking back through my old emails, the only ones I have read completely are those that I received BlackBerry when I first set up my email confirming the installation. If I select answer or forward, it opens the E-mail project but then the email app is closed completely and I'm suddenly brought to my home screen.

    What I've tried so far:

-Turning device and turn it on again

-removal and setting up my email account once again

-wear the device to where I bought it. they offered to download blackberrydesktop on my PC Manager and backup then restore my phone. I did it without a change in behavior from my blackberry

Hello and welcome to the community!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts. Otherwise, you need to consider a full reload OS... to prepare, please visit link for Backup in my auto signature on this post.

  • Notifications by email of blackBerry Smartphones Message app duplicatiing

    Hello

Could someone explain to me please how to get the application of Message on the home page to stop sending notifications when e-mails arrive in my email app? I use the Yahoo email app and everytime I get an email notification that I also get the same notification duplicated in the request Message. It's just a little annoying.

    Thanks in advance.

Here's a post I made some time ago which explains how the messaging application. The basic answer is WAD - works as expected.

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/Rim/Board/message?board.ID=9500&message.ID=30149#M30149

While this position was aligned to BES users, the basic concept is intact. Messages is the main place for all messages (WAD) - separate icons for individual accounts are as a filter for the icon displays only messages related to that specific account. What I have done is to put the Messages icon to the bottom in a subfolder, and I just get something must come who is not associated with a specific icon on my home screen (e.g., PIN Messages, etc.).

On the storm, you still have the ability to split the TEXT in their own icon (and not duplicated in Messages). With any list message appears:

BBKey > Options > General Options

The list a little ways is a selection for "SMS and email Inboxes" - separate value and you will have a new icon just for SMS/MMS.

BTW - the selection of alert messages is simply a quick key to app of sounds so that you can change the alerts associated with this account. But since he launched the app sounds, you see indeed everything in the app sounds.

    Hope something here is useful.

    See you soon!

  • Problem receiving blackBerry Smartphones Message delivery

    Hello:

An acknowledgement of receipt is sent by my BB direct address when an e-mail entering made the request.  This is despite the fact that I am fixed in order to avoid that, through

Messages folder > Options > delivery to confirm = NO Email settings and confirm = NO playback

This is a version of Storm 9530 (vzw).148 with BIS, and incoming mail is sent by my ISP to address * @vzw.blackberry.net.  The unwanted receipt is sent with my ***@vzw.blackberry.net as the sender, so it is not produced in my access provider or my office e-mail program.  What has happened since I have the BB in Nov 2008, several battery grips since.

There are other parameters to check?  What else to do?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello!

    For reference, see this KB:

    • KB12661 Receive e-mail messages in BlackBerry Internet Service delivery behavior

Basically, the two parameters that you cited have to do with when you initiate an email of your BB... they have nothing to do with the e-mail entering your BB.

The only parameter that you have relating to incoming e-mail is the 'send Read Receipts' this setting... control or not a requested read receipt is sent when you open e-mails on your BB. But, you have no choice about the delivery receipts like those between the servers... the customer (BB) has nothing to say in the matter... and the BIS servers attached delivery receipts when they are requested.

    Hope that helps!

  • BlackBerry smartphones I want to restore the mail that is missing!

    Hello

    Help me!

I want to restore the mail which is missing, because I did not know that after the passage of 30 days, email is eliminated.

Are there methods to restore it?

I use BB to the Japan.

I visited a few special restoration contractor, but I can't find anything.

I am involved because I wonder that there may be some methods.

(I forgot to get back to the top)

    Hey sakimono21,

Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

    Thanks for the question.

My apologies, without a backup there will not be a way to restore e-mails.  You have e-mail messages saved on your computer or your webmail?  If you do, you can send to yourself and they will be received on the BlackBerry smartphone.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    See you soon.

  • BlackBerry smartphones unable to display all Emails?

I just got my new curve 8330 bberry (with Sprint) and have activated my company with my corporate email server.  For some reason I can't view e-mail is earlier than today's date?  (I used to have a plam treo, and it was a simple setting that would ask how long you want to e-mail messages to show. "do not display older e-mails that...". 1 week, 1 month, etc.)

That is, I am interested in my Inbox on my computer right now I have 10 points inside, there are 7 from today and Aug. 3 that I need to keep.  But on my bberry, I see not the older?  Is this a setting?  Everything is wireless synchronization and perfectly.

    Any suggestions?  Thank you!

I read through old discussion forums, and you are all pros!

My Blackberry is old 2 months only and icons in text Messages and e-mail crashes when I click on them. In front the wholw gel phone. I have to pass the application and try another icon to get an answer. Help, please. Desperate

Start with a battery pull.  This should always be your first course of action when your phone freezes up.  To do this, remove the battery while your phone is on, then replace it.

Let us know if that helps you.  If this isn't the case, there is no other tracks, we can explore.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how I respond to e-mail

If someone sends me an email and I hit the reply button, I'm allowed to type my response, but the only choice I have when I want to send, "Save draft" or DELETE.  When I read the FAQ, it indicated that I must go to the individual name who sent me email, hit dial and then send.   Before resetting and updated my BB software, I could answer without problem.  Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere?   Chuck

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your BIS lines for these accounts.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how turn off the e-mail attachments?

I have been informed that it is possible to do, and it'll be important for me when I travel abroad: I don't want to incur large download of attachments when I don't want to.

Anyone know how I can do this (I have a 8820)?

    Thanks in advance!

Attachments are not downloaded in the default BlackBerry. They are downloaded only when you specifically choose to do. There is nothing that you need to configure to do this.
