Hello and welcome to the community!

If there is a latent policy, there is only one way to remove it... and while I can't tell exactly what you hear of "hard reboot", this probably isn't the appropriate method. To check, however, see this:

I use an unbranded 8900 on TMobile.  Have hotspot at home.  Everything including WIFI works as expected... except the AMU.  Cannot get the UMA icon on the phone.  Brand woman 8120 TMobile connects and displays the UMA logo very well.

Yep, firmware. How undbranded have become it, you bought it?

In any case... Yes, the device must be marked Tmobile. For example, even an unlocked 8900 brand ATT on Tmobile will not UMA.

  • Help blackBerry Smartphones! How to reset the password for Wifi?

Hi there - just got a Blackberry "BOLD", today, but trying to connect to my network domestic wi - fi, I mistyped the password.  When I try to connect to the wi - fi, I get a message telling me that "the connection failed due to incorrect network credentials. Check security of saved network settings. "  I guess that's because the password that I entered is incorrect, but it does not give me the opportunity to be reintroduced in this.  I have explored the menus, but can't find how to restart and reset it.  Can anyone help?

Hello and welcome to the community!

I can't say what OS you're on and these instructions change considerably depending on the level of the BONE. But, if you're on 7.x (and perhaps even 6.0), do this:
Homescreen > Options > connections and networks > WiFi network > press the Menu key > select saved WiFi networks > change the network in question

You can also delete the saved network and then start again.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphone how to make calls from phone with my PIN code and fees

I got my BB also because I was also asked for my PIN by friends from across the Atlantic. How to make the best use of my blackberry phone to make calls. I know that I need a date of purchase, but can the wifi works instead.

You can use the WiFi for a lot of things on your phone, but unless you have a BlackBerry data plan, you will not be able to access all the features of BlackBerry like BlackBerry Messenger, Facebook, Twitter, etc... even in WiFi.

If someone asks for your PIN, it is so that they can reach you through surveys BBM (BlackBerry Messenger), which uses your PIN to log in instead of the e-mail address, your telephone number.

  • How can blackBerry smartphones, I get rid of the enterprise of the screen activation and return to a screen of configuration of e-mail.

Hi, I just got a used 9800. When I went to set up my emails, the enterprise activation screen was presented. I don't know how to get rid of it and return to the e-mail address set up the screen.

    Thank you

When you go to the configuration screen, you are ONLY with the enterprise activation icon or link?

    No personal email configuration?

Do you have a data Plan BlackBerry enabled on your account with your carrier or mobile provider?  You have to, to get the push RIM email functions you are looking for, as well as services of BlackBerry data such as the Web browser, Facebook for BlackBerry, BlackBerry Messenger and much more.

Then call your carrier and you learn about to have added to your account BlackBerry data Plan. Once you do, you will see the icon of personal email configuration.

    Good luck.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones do you know what are my problems with my camera and how to solve?

Mine is Curve 3 G running OS 6. I have 3 years now.

Never installed any themes. I removed all languages, except for English and mandarin. Obtained third-party applications, which are whatsapp and screen grabber. I also youtube, twitter and yahoo messenger but I think that they are developed by rim. I uninstalled the default games from the early days, owner of the device and never install others. I also removed the maps and the world of blackberry. In any case, they are useless.

I don't store a lot of pictures and the ones I did on my ram external 2gigs. I have not all media files. Just the default values.

I join 1 group and it's not active. I don't have multiple conversations. I end conversations as soon as they are finished. BBM contacts grow about 1-2 monthly and phone books from 3 to 5 every week. I am a seller.

I delete e-mails from the unit as soon as I finished reading the. Never navigation because the browser kills each front page loaded completely, making me unable to use youtube.

I remember regular cleaning to run hourly.

I do battery pull everyday because I'm tired of waiting for the clock or the gel to disappear, which could take more than half an hour if I let them which of course eventually crashing.

Never have data backup because the device freezes the second I connect it to the PC with desktop blackberry on.

So the question is do you know what are my problems and how to solve? Because I did not.

    Hello

Well... We must memory cleaner is enabled, this feature is known to cause many problems!

Try a battery pull reboot and let us know.

  • BlackBerry smartphones, what are the benefits of using the spindle to spindle and BBM?

I have not used BBM again but was compose and send messages pins (peer-to-peer). Is this the same thing as the BBM and what are the benefits of each? Are they better than just SMS?  Would like to have an explanation, because I'm confused!  Thank you!!

BBM and PIN messages are messages sent from one BlackBerry to another.  The message is composed by the sender and goes through the secure server of the RIM before being delivered to the recipient.  They are only available for BlackBerry users.

The thing I like about them, it is how you can see if they have been received by the recipient.  Once the message reaches the recipient's phone, you will notice a small would be "at the beginning of your message.  In other words, that it is delivered.  When the recipient opens the message, who had "will change to a 'R' for 'reading'.  So now you know that it is actually received by the recipient.

One more great thing about these messages, it's that there is no length limit.  As you probably know, most carriers limit SMS 160 characters; not the case with these messages, they can be much longer.

BBM and PIN messages are of the same type of message, but with PIN messages, you are limited to just contact reception.  With BBM, you can have a lot of contacts on a cat, or you can broadcast a message to multiple contacts at the same time.

I hope this explains things for you.

  • The blackBerry Smartphone Reload software: 552 (no answer, bb not detected when connected to pc)

Nickolai, Hello and welcome to the Support Forums of community BlackBerry.com.

1 have you done a recent backup of your Blackberry using the BlackBerry Desktop Software?

    2. If you pictures are stored on the card, you will be not should not lose them. Do you know?

    3. you don't say if you have, but that it has first: perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for about five minutes and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most defects and errors of operating system, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

    4. If after the reboot, you still have the 552 error, you must make the device on the wiping and reloading. I posted the instructions below on how to fix this error and may or may not remove and delete your contacts.

    (1) make sure that you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    (2) on your PC, go to start > run and copy and paste the following line exactly (i.e. with quotation marks):

    'c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader\loader.exe' /nojvm

    (3) the Application Loader Wizard will appear - click on "next".
    (4) in the ' connection: ' drop-down menu, you should see "USB - PIN: UNKNOWN". Click on the button "next".
    (5) you should see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Press Next and finish, and that you are well on your way to get your Blackberry to life. Just unplug and let the process finish completely.

NOTE: If you do not display the list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead to see the message "the Blackberry Desktop Software has no Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator', then you must download the Blackberry operating system for your support and your device.
    http://www.BlackBerryFAQ.com/index.php/BlackBerry_Operating_System_Downloads
Just select the appropriate type of carrier and network, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the steps above again and you should be on the right track.
