  If I lock with the Lock position SMPTE command regions I can still cut off the right edge of the regions. Is there a way to lock completely any region so that I can't change it at all?

  There is a way, but not for different regions, it is only by track (all regions on this track).

  I have again on blackberry and need help to solve a problem.

  Page 29 in the BIS 2.5 user guide has that "when you remove a message from a built-in e-mail account, the message is also deleted on your BlackBerry smartphone.

  This does not work for me. It does not work when I delete from the camera, it will then remove the server.  It's my business account, which uses a normal pop3 server / imap type installation. Nothing fancy such as exchange servers.   I just download my server to hosts on outlook 2002 messages, thus erasing them from the server. Please note that I have the choice of using pop3 or imap.  I tried both and it does not in any way delete.

  Verizon says this will only work with BES, but as you can see above, the BIS said it should work.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  If you use IMAP and set it up properly, it "should" reconcile your bidirectional deletions, at LEAST since the e-mail server for the BB, and if you delete your your Outlook cuts from the mail server, then it should delete the BB as well. It may not work as smoothly, however.

  On the accounts POP, removing your Outlook will not reconcile with the BB.

  Have had my Curve 8330 for about a month... and love it.  Lately he started to lock up on the desktop... with an hourglass spinning showing... no way to move the cursor... no phone reception... • BlackBerry Smartphones URGENT help! -Locked phone curve 9320

  I just bought the 9320 BlackBerry Curve, I put a phone lock code and it worked very well and unlocked each time but now after being in my Pocket most of the day a few buttons should were pressed and it says phone locked and on the screen it says-"type of blackberry to continue" (he never said this before) I do this, and then it asks for my code, I put in my original code (4 digits) and it says incorrect code, I am now on my last attempt, what will happen if I try and I no more attempts on the left? He will go on lock down and cost me a fortune to get fixed or is there something I can do to avoid this problem

  What you're saying, looks like it's your device lock password, which prevents you from your device. Only this password can unlock it, but for one reason or another it just is not be accepted. Most often, it is because of the keyboard... you may think that you type a number, but actually, it's a letter, lock shift is power or some other modifier key is not present in the same State as when the password was created. Unfortunately, with just one more attempt there is very little to try... you get only once chance, so the probability of success is low.

  I suggest you remove your battery, wait 5 minutes, then insert the battery, but wait at least 15 minutes before you try anything. Only, you get a chance, so you must leave your BB to be fully started before trying anything.

  If you fail the last time, what will happen is that your BB will wipe itself clean of everything and be as if it were when you received first of all, including the removal of the password. This is a security feature designed to protect valuable data and personal information on the device of thieves.

  I can't find any way to actually download this application, which is the method for downloading of all other applications. It is a worrying phenomenon.

  (Edit) I just did an assembly/disassembly by the desktop client - still get the prompt 'need to update', which brings me through the links lead nowhere, as shown above. I also removed app world and tried a new installation of the 2 ways this last mentioned above and got the same behavior. Something is happening with the download page?

  Try this:

  • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  But give him maybe 15 minutes to "settle", without doing anything. Then, the first thing to go in the BB native browser and try the link again...

  When the 'Alt' is at the top right of the screen, it's because you clicked on 'Alt' and unlock your keybored click on the button "Mute" on the top of your Blackberry (AKA Play/Pause button).

  First thing to do is to remove the battery while your phone is on, then replace it a few seconds later.

  I'm trying to support nearly 100 blackberries (mainly the Tour), and any update wireless breaks phones with varying results: anywhere to delete simply sync settings of electronic mail (all carriers) all the way to the phone impossible to make/receive calls (just from T-Mobile for the lack of vocation Verizon or AT & T seems unaffected so far).  We do * not * use a BES server, however, if that's what it takes, I'm definitely ready to go.  When an update is needed (by our standards), I'll make them.  I don't really want anything coming from Blackberry, never.

  I ask users to hide the Update icon, however, they always say eventually, he comes back and keeps asking to install the update.  To get rid of the gene, they do the update, break the phone, then have the greater discomfort to wait until I can get the fixed phone.

  Before I can get by email or phone on my BlackBerry, I must first click OK several times to dismiss the calendar to display notifications. Is there a way to disable these notifications?

  I use mainly my BlackBerry during the day, so accumulate calendar notifications. Then in the evening I want to check emails or make a quick call. I wake up the BlackBerry and am forced to click OK several times to remove all notifications of calendar before I can read an email or make a call.   To turn off notifications, go to your calendar, press the menu key and choose Options. Select the calendar you want to disable. Change the option to display reminders to no. that will eliminate pop-up reminders on your BlackBerry for this calendar.  If you have reminders of several calendars, for each affected.

• Help blackBerry Smartphones! I'm locked!

  A few days ago, I put all my various credit card, Bank, etc., usernames and passwords on the Memo pad.  I created a password, I've never done before.  Later in the day, I tried to use my Tour 9630 and the screen showed a lock, no other icons and requested my password.  I put what I thought I had created.  Did not work.  I have 10 tries before I'm devastated and I'm up to 7.  No. I didn't write it.  I tried another one of my standard personal passwords, then variations.  No luck.

  I went to the Verizon store.  They said that they can not help it's problem of BB.  I called BB, they said, call Verizon, it's their problem.  If I try 3 more and not to mark, told me that my phone is wiped away as if I formatted a disk.  No, I don't have a backup on my laptop.  But I'll change that if this ever gets solved.  I may be stupid, but I'm not stupid.

  I get incoming calls - otherwise, I can't use my phone.

  I can't be the only one * beep * who never forgot a password and has been locked.  There must be a work around for this problem and see the or bypass the password.

  Anyone out there - help!  I don't want to have a very expensive paperweight.
