BlackBerry Smartphones nominations that don't die!

Here's the deal. I have the BB and a laptop company with exchange server. These two devices remain in the synchronized. Also I have a personal laptop not on the stock exchange of the company. I want all these to be synchronized.

Here's what I do. I take the BB and the 'wireless synchronization' VALUE for the contacts and calendar. Then, connect the BB to the laptop and let the device manager what he does. I wind up with called contacts I don't no need and remove them from the computer laptop and the resynchronization and now BB and portable agree among themselves.

I then turn on the wireless sync, so the cell of society and the BB are synchronized (and therefore the company exchange server stuff). At least that's what I THINK would have occurred, but the things I deleted reappeared!

I remove it from the laptop company, so I'm now in phase, but with manual intervention. To check, I then turn off wireless sync and reconnect the laptop and stuff that I deleted three or four times are right vice versa.

What happens here? More important still, how can I make this stop? It drives me crazy.

Never mind... I have new plan. I give up. I'm going to buy a synchronization software for laptops and let wireless synchronization handle coordination of BB.

  • BlackBerry smartphones none given don't Plan - connected to wifi but not Internet access?

    Hi all!

I am a new Blackberry owner.  I have a Blackberry Bold 9700, and I use AT & T.  I don't have a data plan, so I chose this phone so I can use the internet in Wi - Fi areas.  I am currently in a WiFi area, and my phone says I'm connected.  However, when I try to open the web browser, it says "cannot connect to the Internet, please try again later."  Is it a common problem with a quick fix?  Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

    Thank you!

With OS6, you cannot set the browser to be just a HotSpot browser. You can do within OS5.

Well, IF you are connected to a WiFi hotspot, your device will use the browser and that's it, not much else. Some applications like Opera Mini and Pandora radio will work on a single WiFi.

Is your exact model the 8800?

The installation of the operating system is in the link below and good instructions.

    http://www.BlackBerryForums.com/General-8800-Series-discussion/183426-latest-OS-8800-4-5-0-203-4-5-0...

Follow the signs to the point.

If you have a problem connecting to the BlackBerry:

You will need to use JL_Cmder to wipe the device and then load the operating system on the device. Follow the instructions here:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones phone lights after battery died

Yesterday my completely dead phone, causing my phone turn off.  I got it for about 8 hours to charge, and I get nothing.  The red light for 15 seconds about, then off and then back on...

    Any suggestions?

You see on the screen a battery with a slash (/) symbol through it?

Leave the appliance to charge 2-3 hours and then, always toujours relie connected to the USB cable, remove the battery from the camera a few seconds and plug it back. If it starts - let - the charges to 100% (check the Options > status for the percentage). If it is not restart on the first attempt, leave several hours. I had a charge for two days before, she came back to life after extreme exhaustion of the battery. Every 3-4 hours with the device plugged into the charger, you can remove and replace the battery to see if it restarts.

Otherwise, no dead battery symbol... If your BlackBerry is still under tension turned off with a black screen, follow the instructions below. The only indication of life may be the flashing red indicator light in the upper corner. Nothing seems to wake and Desktop Manager does not recognize that a device is connected.

    (1) make sure that you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    (2) on your PC, go to start > run and copy and paste the following line exactly (i.e. with quotation marks):

    'c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader\loader.exe' /nojvm

    (3) the Application Loader Wizard will appear - click on "next".
    (4) in the ' connection: ' drop-down menu, you should see "USB - PIN: UNKNOWN". Click on the button "next".
    (5) you should see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Press Next and finish, and that you are well on your way to get your Blackberry to life. Congratulations! Just unplug and let the process finish completely.

NOTE: If you do not display the list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead to see the message "the Blackberry Desktop Software has no Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator', then you must download the Blackberry operating system for your support and your device.
    http://www.BlackBerryFAQ.com/index.php/BlackBerry_Operating_System_Downloads
Just select the appropriate type of carrier and network, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the steps above again and you should be on the right track.

This usually means that the device has been blocked by the carrier. Cause usually it has been lost or stolen.

  • BlackBerry smartphones hope that's not welded as a stupid question!

I'm really interested in getting a new Blackberry Storm.  This will be my first Blackberry device.  I understand that you have a data plan to join your existing talk plan.  The data plan includes unlimited access to e-mail and web browsing.  What else covers this data plan? If anything like that?

The data plan includes the use of applications that can be downloaded to the storm?  Get you charged separately for use in other applications other than e-mail and browsing the web?

If this application is free and requires no subscription paying to hear, you will not have to pay extra money.

  • Tasks missing after blackBerry Smartphones application that put 5.0 on level

I'm having a problem with my Tour 9630.  Upgrade to 5.0 and no apps to memo or task.  Tried everything.  Seems strange that BlackBerry would not auto load these applications and allow the user to remove themselves.  I'm tired of delete, reload, research, etc. for this is resolved.  Any easier way?

    My problem was solved!  Yes!

Somehow, I was able to upgrade to a version of the platform that is not supported by my BB Tour 9630.  When I went to Verizon, downloaded the latest version for my phone which is v5.0 (Bundle 1600, platform 4.2.0.424) and installed it that everything worked fine.  Tasks, Notepad, even all games apps are now available.  When I opened by the Office Director, Applications was all there.  I was able to install patches and Notepad.  Works great!

Still trying to figure out how I had the wrong version loaded on my phone.  My suggestion is to be careful with the version that you install.  Check with your carrier or BlackBerry that you have the correct version.

Thank you all for all the help!

  • Universal is HS300 blackBerry Bluetooth headset BlackBerry Smartphones? That or any other bluetooth compatible with Samsung Blackberry?

The headset Bluetooth BlackBerry HS300 is universal? That or any other bluetooth compatible with Samsung Blackberry?

must match with her, there could be some advanced features that do not work, but the basics should be good.

I used a 500 HS on a samsung A 358 (I think it was the model) and it worked fine for calls.

  • BlackBerry smartphones, for that I need a few RIM experts answer this question.

This isn't really a problem of java development, but I'm not expert on the general forum. I arrived there just the other day and a guy was ranting and raving on this is terrible, the storm is compared to the iPhone.

I have pointed out errors in his way and man, there is a lot of emotion there and a lot of very bored customers.

I think that I calmed down most of them, but I think more about the inner workings than most, they all ask the same questions.

The questions are basically, there are 2 main questions.

    1. the phone resets several times a day on its own. No rhyme or reason to it. I have heard of a mission that removing the SIM card algtogether might fix this sometimes. Is there a way to reset your SIM card to the factory settings?

    2. the second problem is more difficult to classify. There might be several problems, but I suspect that there is a big underlying problem. It's that everything is working properly. Things like him taking 2 minutes to take a photo or for the phone record horizontal to vertical. This kind of thing.

If an expert he can suggest a solution or if there is a known problem that occurs and there is a difficulty, I can relay this back to them.

One possibility is to clean the memory and restore factory. Is it possible to do so. I know that javaloader ordered a memory wipe. However, I do not know if the State of entire plant is available in EDGE tools that we installed all.

    Or post you here...

I feel sorry for these guys (those who are not madmen :-) and they need help.)

    Thank you guys.

We have several storms and they all have the following symptoms:

After running for about 4 days, the system significantly slows down. You see demonstrations continuous hourglass, which means that the G.C. is overtime. A hard reset Erases (battery pull) the problem for another 4 days.

Sometimes, the phone becomes hot all of a sudden and burn the battery in about 30 minutes. If it's in your pocket, it is immediately noticeable and you pull the battery to clear up the issue. However, if the phone is, you won't notice. Several times, I put the phone down, then took a phone completely dead (and hot) an hour later. After charging the battery, you must reset the date and restore network connections, while he was REALLY DEAD.

Now, we have repeatedly stopped all 3rd party programs and the problem is not clear up. We keep waiting for this next OS update that solves problems.

  • BlackBerry smartphones is that useful?

I just bought a bb 8100, running 4.2, I want to upgrade to the new software, but with all the problem, I read on the upgrade in this forum. I request to you it's worth, I wouldn't screw up a new phne.

If your device is not working properly and that you don't need to upgrade - don't.

However, if you want that would bring additional features an upgrade, upgrade.

First, perform a full backup using the Desktop Manager.

Upgrade by following the instructions here:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Can that I manage my calendar from my computer?

I recently spent a Palm PDA, I could manage my contacts, calendar etc on my desktop software.  Is it available with the Blackberry, or do I have to do everything from my handheld?

OK, coool... to halfway there, huh?

So open DM > Sync > Configuration. You will find several parameters for only future calendar items, you can set a number of days range, etc.

Check the configuration of the synchronization that you have your Outlook calendar set to synchronize with the outstretched hand.
