BlackBerry smartphones powered work e-mails at work

I have a BB Curve 9300.  I have two personal and account on the BB email.  Is there a way to not to receive my work email when I'm in my office so that I get them on my PC and BB?  I was expecting basically an on/off switch for the e-mail account that can be used when in my office.

few things to try:

Go to your e-mail configuration, go to the account in question, click filters, check the box that says "do not forward messages to the device" set by default if it does not work.

Else: try to use the blackberry firewall

I think this may block all emails fine, but you can take a look at the options.

  • Using blackBerry Smartphones, redirector works does not, the grayed out E-mail settings

It worked. I had everything set up, and then I can only assume the last weekend when I installed and updated in MS it canceled everything.

Now when I open the Desktop Manager, my email settings are dimmed, I can't synchronize my messages or calendar. When I click on it, it is said, "the e-mail settings are not available without an online connection to your e-mail system." When I go to sync and try to set it up, there is no Outlook profile to the choice. I've added another user profile in outlook and tried again, but there is still no profile, choose in the menu dropdown.

Also, when I open the redirector, I get the message. ' Bot can the redirector: connecting to your e-mail system could not be initialized.

I know that they are both related, there's something I forget. I have gone through the forums and tried several things that seem to be the same, but none have worked. Does anyone have a suggestion?

    I don't know it's important, but I have a "BOLD" and using Outlook 2007.

OK, I got this problem. The redirector works now, besides I'm able to synchronize my device with Outlook. What I did uninstall Outlook and then reinstall it. Which corrects the problem. Questions in a trouble... wish that I would have thought of this earlier. Thanks to all who tried to help.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones nothing works on a BB?

I just bought a BB 8820, which would supposedly is a Smartphone. With the iPhone 3 G comes out to the expensive dataplans, I thought BB would be a nice alternative. First surprise, it is that it only works with exchange and the company because no alternative is only supported in the Denmark where I use it.

OK, so this isn't really for lack of wheels, but makes use of my BB just as expensive as the iPhone. I would have been OK with it, but here's my problem: nothing works!

The browser, apparently only works on wifi, but not cell - really?

The GPS function has not yet find a satellite. Indoor and outdoor.

The cards do not have any kind of photo without worrying if these accessible WiFi or not.

Many applications refuse to work indicating that I need to a network or a wifi connection. This at the same time, when other applications are actually using the same wifi connection, which is apparently not found.

I tried the download of desktop software, but none of the versions I've tried work. Only, it can not sync, does not or can not find my BB.

Regarding the site Web of BB I can't even it works no doubt. The only reason why I posted this message here, is that there is no link to send an e-mail to the support team. (even if I agree - at this point my patience is too weak to look at for a long time).

So my question is simply: is there someone out there who knows if that's what you should expect from a BB or can I ask someone for a solution that would at least make my BB worth more than a $ 10 Nokia 1100?

I wouldn't compare the Blackberry to the iPhone.  Blackberries are designed for professional use, and I don't like what people tell you.  Technology of e-mail push like no other and is the largest point Seling to a Blackberry.  The iPhone has been designed for personal use and just happens to have a few features of the add-on that helps with the use of the company.  Comparing the iPhone to the Blackberry, you invite a bunch of comments from the RIM fanboys.

There are several messaging for Blackberry solutions.  First, there is the Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES).  This solution supports Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes and Novell GroupWise, and all required documentation is on www.blackberry.com.  This solution is more for companies with many users of Blackberry.  There is also the Blackberry Internet Service (BIS), which is provided by your cellular operator and managed by RIM.  There should be a bookmark in your browser for the installation of the mail, and it is the configuration of the BIS account.  I do not know what other than Microsoft Exchange Outlook Web Access BIS support...  You can also use the Desktop Redirector that monitors your e-mail client, and relays the mail to your handheld.  This requires to have the software installed on a computer that runs all the time, and you leave your mail client open (this solution is less impressive in my opinion).

I have a Sprint 8830 that doesn't have WiFi.  Almost every day, I use my browser over the cellular network.  To do this, you need your cell carrier BIS service books (this may also be why the e-mail does not work for you).

Have you tried a battery pull?  In addition, if your browser and e-mail do not work, it is quite possible that you don't have a data plan, you'll need to render images in Blackberry Maps.  Try saving your computer on the network wireless Pocket (Options--> Options--> host Routing Table.  Click on the ball in, then select Save now).

The software will not work unless you also install the software on the handheld.  Check with your carrier for the latest version of the Desktop Manager and device software.  Software device for the same device of a another carrier will not work, because they are specially packaged for their respective holders.  Official carrier sites can be viewed here: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp.

RIM does not provide free technical support.  Support with them incidents are paid from the outset, similar to Microsoft.  If you have a technical question, the best point of contact is your carrier, because most have dedicated teams of support of Blackberry.  You can also sign up for the Blackberry Professional Software Express, which comes with a free support incident.

I can understand your aggravation, I think that most are of poor communication.  BlackBerry devices require a "Service books" almost everything to work.  If you want to access the data (browser, e-mail, etc.) via the cellular network, you need the BIS service books.  If you want to run GMail on your Blackberry, you GMail service directories, etc.  I remove the battery, wait 30 seconds, then back - turn on the Blackberry.  Once you have good coverage, try saving your device on the network (should say you record message sent, and you will get a response in your folder of Messages saying that you have been activated successfully on the wireless network).  If you do not receive the message saying that you have been registered successfully on the wireless network, you will need to check with your carrier that you have a Blackberry data plan.  Registration on the network invited the carrier to push directories of service important to your handheld, or else your Blackberry is not really mush more useful than this Nokia 1100 $ 10.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BBM works do not to send messages

Hello! last night I was Messaging on BBM and for some reason my posts stopped to deliver. I don't get the checkmark next to what I typed but no D or r it takes 2 hours to 6 for one of my messages arrive! This happens with all my BBM contacts I thought strange because I can receive their messages at once. I have whatsapp and I can text away normally and all my other apps work normally.

    Version BBM: 6.0.1.32

    OS: 5.0.0.979

    Bold 9700

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello

Try a battery pull - while the unit is turned on, remove the battery for 15-30 seconds, then reinsert and wait for the device to reboot.

If this does not help, go to Options > Advanced Options > host routing, Table and then press the BB menu and select Register now. Once your device has re-recorded on the BlackBerry network, go to your e-mail settings application, login if necessary, and then press the BB Menu key and select Service books. Return your service books.

That should do it, but if not, let know us.

  • 2nd Blackberry 8310 blackBerry Smartphones hand works but cannot email setting

When you try to activate e-mail he said "this blackberry is registered with a different service provider please re-register this blackberry and check the URL matches one etc...". The phone comes from UK and I live in France, so of course, I don't know who was the former owner. French Orange seems to be of any help to this problem.

I went everywhere in the forum and tried the solutions that I found in the messages, but nothing works. I am also a Mac user, so most of the manipulations I found on the forum are very different with Pocket mac. So my BB is just a normal phone for now.

Anyone know how to solve my problem? Thank you very much.

    Stéphane

Sorry for my bad English I wouldn't find a forum in French.

The problem has been resolved by contacting BIS they repress the account that remains of the former owner.

Hope this can help others. I'm free! and it works perfectly.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones GMail works, RoadRunner Email does not work

On my Storm: the topic says it all.  My email Exchange/work and my email personal gmail, both work perfectly.  I registered my roadrunner email as an 'other' email using installation-> E-mail settings-> Add

It does not work so I went through the hassle of the use of the BlackBerry Internet Service and check / authorizing each account separately.  Has nothing more.  I sent "Bundled Services", I received messages on everything except the RoadRunner.

Help please.  I'm desperate.  If not, how can I solve this?

    Thank you!

I thought about it.  Delete the account and then she added via the website.  When you do this, it invites you to the address of the server (POP).  For some stupid reason when you add on the storm it does not prompt you for any information of server!  I wondered at the time I initially put in place it would be how to find the address of the pop.  I thought 'magic blackberry '.  In any case, it is the issue.  I hope that someone else is having this problem will be read and see that they add the e-mail form the BIS.

    Thanks for the help!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones email works, but not with BlackBerry

    Hello world

I came across a rather strange problem, after some extensive research, I can't find any solution so I came here to ask if anyone can provide all the answers to this.

I have my own email [field] and it works great, reception/sending emails emails and it works with my office etc. outside my BlackBerry - I go in BlackBerry email setup and enter all the details of the email, and it says

'Not found e-mail address field. Email address * is not found. Please veryify that... »

I checked the area and of the box DNS/MX records - all seem to be well (apparently), as the works of e-mail with Outlook and I can access webmail very well...

It all started a week before, I don't know why!

    Hello

Thanks for your help - the problem has now been fixed.

I think the problem has to do with DNS records that I did a Checkup and Diagnostics said that the Reverse DNS was not correctly install, and after some research, I've added a PTR to the mail server.

    p. ex. x.x.x > mail.x.net

    mail.x.NET > x.x.x

When I sent a message to my desktop client to another e-mail address, he said that my email has been updated with the index etc. As the spam filters recognize not (very probably) where my mail came, and this is probably the question with setting up email to work with the BlackBerry!

Everything works now, probably a problem common among others - thanks for your help, much appreciated.

  • Replacement of mixture BB blackBerry Smartphones that works for Priv?

There may be a wire buried here, which has the answer but.

I love my private but was one of the best features of my old "BOLD" mixture. I could handle all my SMS etc from my Win7 desktop. It has been integrated, solid and it worked.

Is there such a thing as mixture for Android (device) and desktop (Win 7 or 10)?

I tried an app, that I found on the app store, but it has not been integrated and I found myself hoping for BB to deliver something. Its for a year I finally asked but did ut there now?

    Thank you

    Hi @wilwoods

No changes sorry - mix only BlackBerry 10 terminals supported and is no longer supported.

An Android compatible version should get out I'll be sure to share the info here

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BBM works not

I'm unable to receive prompt and do not receive my guest, short my BBM does not work since I got on the phone, what do I do?

Ah... Well it is a whole different kettle of fish, indeed! I couldn't verify that anything since, in your profile you have listed a bunch of numbers as your company... of invalid data, so I can't check anything at all.

Further... How the hell would I change the compatibility of your BB? You realize, I hope, that by posting on this forum, you ARE NOT in any way, shape or form supported or even communication with anyone of the RIM, not you? It is a community of users... not an user-to/from-RIM for any communication channel either.

If you have several things to worry about now...

    ACE - SEM says:

I talked to my service provider and they said there is nothing they can do cause uses currently the phone was made for other specific service provider that uses, so they can't change my settings.

If it's the words they used, they are not quite accurate. Any BB can be used on any carrier that is running the same radio frequencies that the BB is capable of (and I have no idea if your in are such). But, to bring you a BB on a carrier network that they don't sell, there are several obstacles to overcome:

    (1) the carrier must say 'yes' to the fact... they are owners of their network and have every right to say what devices will be allowed to connect to it. If they say 'no', then it's the end of it.

    (2) you must be sure that your BB is properly unlocked since its origin manufactured for carrier... see this thread useful for more details:

    (3) you must get all our voices works on the carrier, before you even try anything on data level services

    (4) you must be a subscriber of the carrier, a plan of sufficient data to enable BB exclusive services that you wish to

5 (a) if the carrier directly supports your specific model BB, then you can proceed to the registration of the BB on their network, generating adequate for your BB service book delivery and treatment of the function.

5 (b) but, if the carrier does not directly your BB-specific model number, then the challenges are much more that most of the carrier's systems will deliver, for BB, the service books required to enable BB exclusive data services, even if you have subscribed to them.

So, based on this, your BB may or may not ever any function on this carrier network. It can be quite difficult to achieve, especially if 5 b applies. Then take a look at this and decide how you want to move forward. Most people end up just buying a new BB if 5b applies.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones ADB works with Blackberry PRIV?

    Hello

I am trying to download packages apk on my Blackberry PRIV using android ADB tool from a Windows 7 machine.

I have installed the USB drivers (RIM-USBDrivers - 4.2.0.117.exe) on W7 and the developer mode on the phone. • Browser blackBerry Smartphones not working anymore after 2 years

    Hello

I hope someone can help me with the following: after 2 years my internet browser no longer works on my BB curve 9300 (not via 3G, no WiFi). FB and Whatsapp still work.

Now my smartphone is only half of a smartphone, so I hope that your team of professionals will be albe to help me in no time.

Thanks a lot from the outset.

From what you describe, I can only deduct that the Service books never happened to your BB... and if you waited the hour and then restarted. And even then your services were not working.

Given this scenario, you next fall at what stage followed 3 in what I provided above... in touch with your mobile provider for formal support. Something went wrong turned into the connection between your device and your network of carriers... only they can watch their network to understand why this has happened and remedy.

It is true that, in many markets service BB/BIS costs indeed data plans more 'generic'... it's because there's infrastructure that the carriers and the BB must provide/support so that the exclusive services of BB to function. Non - BB devices don't use this infrastructure, and so in many markets the carriers can get away with paying more for it. But this price is set by carriers (not all markets have a surcharge for BB services... services of BB to sell at the same price as non - BB... it varies).

    Good luck!
