BlackBerry Smartphones preferences page

I am a new owner of blackberry and found this on the site of bolt browser. I can't find the page of preferences in the menu on my 8530 phone. Can anyone help? Thank you.

BOLT detects the version WAP (mobile) Web sites?
Yes. If you turn Mobile view (from the preferences page), BOLT automatically displays the version WAP (mobile) Web pages. To activate the mobile display, select Preferences from the Menu, and then select the Mobile display box. Choose 'save '. If a mobile version of the website is not available, BOLT shows the desktop version of web page even if the Mobile display has been selected. BOLT do not reformat the content to fit the screen if a mobile version of a Web page is not available.

This preferences menu is in the bolt browser, not among the options of BlackBerry.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Yellow Pages - how to get back my blackberry browser

    Hello

    For some reason any my Blackberry (9000 with Telstra 3 G Australia) when I clicked on the Internet browser is now default Yellow Pages he used will be defined on the Blackberry browser option. With this Blackberry connection it detects my network domestic wi - fi and use wi - fi before using the Blackberry internet browser option.

    I see that the wi - fi option is set to automatic and that it has detected my home wi - fi, but it connects to him when I press on the Web browser. It seems to go directly to this Yellow Pages browser option.

    My browser has NOW the following

    * Hotspot Login

    * Yellow pages

    * Telstra business portal

    It USED to have

    * Hotspot Login

    * Blackberry (something or rather)

    * Telstra business portal

    I want to know is how to fix my Blackberry browser the option back and get rid of this thing of yellow pages?

    Thank you

    HiOzBBerry42

    I spent all day until now talk to Telstra who weren't able to help me, they put me in support of the RIM. I just got on a conference call with RIM and Telstra.

    Apparently, Telstra did change the name of the browser to the Yellow Pages with mobile. yellow pages as home page. Telstra work with RIM to find how to change the name of the browser Internet browser. Phew... what a day.

    Now, we should just work if the change that Telstra has decided to do is also the cause of why my "BOLD" will pick up my house WI-FI, but does not connect to the to use when I go in the browser (as it usually don't do any problems before they changed the name).

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Email page will not turn

    I love the feature where the screen goes from portrait to landscape I did rotate my BB. Unfortunately, he seems to have leaned chaning when I look an email or SMS (it worked until yesterday). It does not turn while I am on my home page... I think that I went through every page of menu and option I can find but no luck to find a way to fix it.  Someone at - it ideas?

    With the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

    Try again.

  • Icons on blackBerry Smartphones Home Page

    I have a starnge icon on my home page that I can't understand.  It is a blue rectangle with 4 white spots in it and a small asterisk gold in the upper right corner.  Is there anywhere to go where they list all the icons and what they mean?

    No label... but I thought about it.  This is the icon of BB email.

  • Problem blackBerry Smartphones Home Page icon

    My apologies if this is an old question, but my research has not provided the answer.

    My 8520 seems to work software v5.

    Practically in the middle of the screen is an icon which is to be partly hidden by a theme, or, in the case of weather more theme I like, he's hiding some of the theme. I can change the icon but I can't get rid of it or move it out of the way (preferably).

    Everything that I found very unnecessarily speaks of how to move icons on the Home Page or from the Page Menu.

    Gudance on the way to move is welcome.

    Steve

    Gone at the end of this problem.

    It is caused by the "Weather Plus" theme that I downloaded. IT puts the icon of thugs in the middle of the screen so ruin the theme itself and explaining why it is impossible to move.

    So today's lesson is Snape icons are likely to be caused by the theme.

  • Message from blackBerry Smartphones: the page you requested was created using data from the form.

    While closing a link to expedia.ca a message come to say: the page you requested was created using data from the form. This page is no longer available.  If you resend the data, any action that has been specified by the form will be repeated.  You want to resubmit the data?  When I click Yes or no, nothing happens except that the message just reappears.  I can't get rid of it so I can't do anything else on my phone, except to answer a call if someone calls me.  How can I get rid of this message from my phone?  I tried to turn it works... even by leaving off the coast for 5 minutes before turning turn it back on.  I can't even check my OS because I do not what anyone on my phone.  I hope someone can help me with this.

    Have you tried a battery pull?  This should fix a problem as you described.

    With your phone, remove the battery, then replace a minute later.  This will do all sorts of wonderful things to your phone for free unclaimed memory, delete no cited source points and make your phone run smoothly.

    Try it and let us know if it does the trick.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones made Error Page

    Hello I got my BlackBerry Curve 8520 for a month and sometimes I try to load a Web page, such as Facebook, it indicates an error due when trying to make your Web page.

    Please help me in setting my BlackBerry Curve 8520!

    Hello and welcome to the community!

    Here's a knockout who deals with this error:

    • KB11620 The browser on the BlackBerry smartphone displays an error message when you try to load web pages or continuous requests the web page

    I hope that it contains something useful! There are also several existing threads on this site, which discuss exact error... your opinion of those who may prove useful, and a search of this website, by using the error message, error code or symptom, should reveal all the existing threads that are applicable to you.

    Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones connected to internet but pages won't load! Help!

    Hey,.

    First time using this forum so ill try my best to explain my situation.

    I have a Blackbery curve 8520. Until recently he worked perfectly but it has since not load websites, even when connected to the internet. My BBM works perfectly however. I have saved, rebooted and ensured that data services are on. I contacted my network provider and they said it's a blackberry issue thean rathr a network one.

    Any help is greatly appreciated, I really want to listen to these automated messages on the hotline more.

    Thank you

    Hello and welcome to the community!

    I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you will need to contact your mobile service provider for formal support... for the last time, again they you brushed OFF... even if the problem is on the EDGE (btw... BB is a device, RIM is the company that manufactures the BBs), your support channel always starts with your carrier... they have the power to escalate your case in RIM free of charge for the user end... There is no other way by which you can receive free formal support from the RIM... actually, these forums are not similarly supported RIM , but rather to the users.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones unnecessary LED flashes grid my patience!

    Hey everybody. I'm new to the forum so just thought I'd say 'Hi' until I'm in my question.

    Here's my deal so far:

    I hate outgoing e-mail notifications and have not found a suitable means to stop. When I try to log into my BIS (I use Verizon), it is said to log on my phone. I do this and there is no options for filtering messages or anything like that. I tried messing around with Gmail and preferences the preferences of the phone and that you can't seem to stop! (does anyone think that raging huge construction when click you 'send' on your computer and you just wait that your stupid blinking at you seeing?) Ham, I know)

    My original solution was to simply remove my email from my phone account and use app. Gmail it does work decently, doesn't seem as sensitive or fast as the curve built in the message browser and I cannot cut/copy/paste this is mind-boggling. BUT, I don't have to worry ever saw that effing turn on when I don't have to! (I suppose that this isn't simply the light, it is the fact that I have a new message "BOLD" and plays even if it's just the opposite of the 'new' for me)

    Unfortunately, the facebook app relies on the link between your email to the BB, so I was with my original solution, my facebook app would be not updated at all.

    to review:

    I just want to have my facebook app was updated regularly, but I don't want to have to deal with the crazy BB need to tell me that I sent someone. I did a lot of research on the web and have found work around solutions to people such as those mentioned previously:

    Connect to BIS and filter yourself -could not find this option anywhere on the verizon BIS page. I don't see are email acct, answer to, your name, password, signature, auto bbc and remove the sync items.

    change the profiles of sounds to inform any new electronic messages - just because it does not make a noise and is not my flashing LED does not mean that I have still a big waste stinking icon notification and "BOLD" 'new' message in my Inbox

    I hope that my melodramatic rage has not put off anyone considering to help me! Thanks in advance

    Hi and welcome to the Forums!

    WOW - Thanks! I didn't need to cite this particular KB in a long time! This is a Ko that documents what to do to correct the problem:

    KB10332 Duplicate sent email message arrives on the BlackBerry smartphone when sent using a built-in Gmail account

    Follow precisely - I know it works, I had to use the filter on the Association the first time that I have configured GMail. But, frankly, the best solution is the first... Delete and re-create the BIS conduit. VZW (and all carriers) have recently updated their BIS servers, and the only way to get the new version is to remove and recreate the BIS conduit. But... a cautionary... see this KB for reconciliations features you'll enjoy... as well as others, will miss you:

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not upgrade world BB (I think)

    A few weeks when starting AppWorld on my phone, it said I needed to upgrade my AppWorld/world software.  I went through a process of downloading, including the signing of an agreement of the user, who probably took care of him.

    But I don't, because I didn't take over the world.  Here's what I'm trying to start:

    Press App World icon in the home screen

    Message appears: "to continue using Blackberry App World, you need to upgrade your current version. ..."

    Select [update]

    A web page loads up, that resembles http://appworld.blackberry.com, except that do not load images

    And here I go, because I do not know what, if anything, I have to have from there.

    I have a Blackberry 8350, and the OS is (I guess)? 5.0.0.601.

    Help please?

    Hello and welcome to the community!

    Please try this sequence:

    (1) to remove from your BB AppWorld

    • KB10040 How to view or delete applications on a BlackBerry smartphone
    • He asks to restart the BB,

    (2) a Batt Pull reboot (power on, remove the battery, wait, insert the battery, wait), even if redundant to the one you did in step 1.

    3) install a new copy of AppWorld (on your BB)

    (4) restart another Batt-sweater

    (5) see if it works now.

    See you soon!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry does not

    Someone out there please help - my blackberry curve shows something I've ever seen in the past, that it is a blank white page with the message in small black text saying "App Error 523" and below the word Reset

    The cause of the problem is the BlackBerry smartphone has a problem related to Machine Java virtual (JVM) application and cannot continue to run.

    To solve the problem of reading the article below-

    I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you need to get in touch with your service provider and insist that they honor the formal support that they are contractually required to provide you with. Do not let you fob before having 100% solved the situation. If they tell you to contact RIM, don't let them not on the hook, then either... insist that they tell you exactly how you should contact RIM. If they say anything OTHER that they will increase you rim (for example, if they tell you to independently seek the support of the RIM), and then accept it. Only through an escalation of your service provider can you receive all official support from RIM.

    Looks like they have made significant changes to their network... and they must ensure that their paying customers will continue to receive the services that they pay.

    Good luck!
