BlackBerry Smartphones problems accessing my media card to format install repair n

About 1 month after I had a new 4 GB media card 4 my Curve 8520 it stopped workin. I tried 2 format, fix n install but I had a guarded dat msg saying could not format or install or repair. So I tried my old 2 GB card media n I'm getin d same problem. Sum1 can you please help? What is my phone?

OK, Sandisk is one of the best brands, so the time to start back at square one. In this case, it may well be the phone. If you're ready to try something a bit drastic, my next suggest is to reload the OS on your BlackBerry. You can do so by following the steps in the following link:

http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/device-software-for-BlackBerry/how-to-reload-your-operating-S...

It is possible that something like a wipe handheld might work, but that it will take just to the next step and could win you time in the long run.

How the media card fits into the phone.  When I'm holding the phone to me numbers to watch me which side of the card do I watch? Should I search the name of the map?  I took out the card now I can't seem to stay in. Thanks for your help.  Mimi

The Gold contacts must be facing up. Push the card with the tip of your fingernail until it stumbles and let it go. You will feel spring pressure pushing on réécrirait where he is about to be implemented. To remove simply push on the map and it will come out.

Is it possible to store applications on the media card, which came with a 2 GB card? Or it takes only what internal memory 256.

    Thank you.

    Sorry node possible.

  • Music of blackBerry Smartphones moving to my media card in my BB pearl

SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE! I just bought the new 8130 Pearl... I can't get music on it! (I bought 2 songs via iTunes) I tried to use BB Media Sync and it just won't... I tried dragging and droping and it doesn't...

When I look at my BB card through the windows, it shows the songs. When I unplug my BB to the computer and try to find them on my phone it shows no songs!

    What I am doing wrong?

First of all, there could be a major problem: Blackberry will not play purchased or purchased iTunes with iTunes DRM Digitial rights on the file.

There is a common method to remove DRM WMA, M4P in 2 steps:
1 burn the DRM WMA, M4P on a CD.
2 rip the DRM WMA, M4P from CD on your computer in MP3, then the DRM format should be removed from the WMA files.

  • BlackBerry smartphone APP WORLD vs MEDIA CARD Coupla Questions...

So... I downloaded appworld and didn't get a few decent applications... works great... no probs at all...

    Which leads to the question...

I have a 2 GB card inserted... and would like to know how to move some of the apps on the home screen

and to run them without any problem... and do it safely.

My phone memory decreases fast enough that I added new applications in of appworld.

~ and I deleted via the DM progs that I don't no need... or ever intend to use...

It would be great if I can move ALL the apps that I use on a memory card... I do not know that the phone would go very quickly then......

    So... Is this possible?

    And finally ~

I love my 9500 BBStorm far... he had since February... No probs, but I miss WLAN and Skype...

They will be available for the storm updates...? I was wondering...

    Kind regards...

    Mike

    Hello!

There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) application memory, the device memory) 2 and 3) Media/SD memory card

Application memory - it is the most important; It is protected (not available to the user), dedicated and (fixed size) space as the destination for the installation of applications (more a few storage applications, overhead and other costs). You can't touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can install only here... There is no other choice.

The device memory - it is space on your BB you can touch these files, images, media, etc. In general, it is not very big, but it is available.

Memory card SD/Media - is what it says... your SD card to store files, media, photos, etc.. It can be as large as your BB OS can support... see this KB:

On some devices/OS levels, enforcement and the memory of the device are combined into "free file"... This is, IMO, a little more difficult to administer that you can't see really how AppMemory you have. Nevertheless, here are some tips to use:

In addition, it is always important to correctly close applications when you are finished with them. Using the back or on the red button won't do that - those leave the app to decide what to do... and some let themselves memory-resident, consumes resources on your BB, slowing down the overall performance. Rather, to close an application, press the BBKey and select 'Farm' or 'Quit'... that forces the application to be closed, freeing for your new use the resources it consumed. Some applications will always be running (in general - BBMessenger, browser, homescreen, phone and Messages)... but, you should always close them properly - especially the browser... If we leave on a web page, it will not consume only additional resources, but the power of the battery as well.

Finally, there are some utilities available (including AppWorld) which will "store" apps on your SD card... but they never will 'run' from there. What do these utilities is to uninstall the application (sometimes called 'archive') of AppMemory and keep it stored elsewhere. When you want the application, it will be installed again to AppMemory from this location of archive and then deleted again when you are done with it. Awkward, but given the nature preserved the basic architecture of BB and AppMemory, it's the best possible currently.

Regarding WLAN and SKYPE - you will need to check with these developers to see what their plans are.

    Hope that helps!

Try disabling Mass Storage. Is encryption always enabled for media files on your device?

If it is, Roxio should ask the encryption password to allow you to access the media card.

When this happens, all media must be visible...

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Priv - access to the memory card for media photos

I worked on how to record photos (attachments email; when the Save button is facing the edge, it was a bit a helping hand), and I save on the memory card.  But where did they end by?  How to access photos on memory card?

Thanks to some research by keywords, I fell randomly on the charges which do not seem to be accessible via folders Photos/camera...  But I can't find to display the new anywhere and the charges that should be here are not visible to me...

In addition, how to change the order of the files, or indeed the names of files in the files of the device in the Photos app?

Have now managed to connect using the USB cable, so access SD card and move the photos to the visible file to the Photos app.  It's DCIM - camera.

They are then visible on the Photos (first page is always useful), as well as always appearing on the records of the unit.

If connection problems via USB to access the SD card, see the thread on that.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Micro SD 2 GB card Media

I tried 2 of these cards and none is recognized by the phone... nor they reformatted successfully... is there a known issue with this card?    Any help would be appreciated!  I have a BB Pearl 8130

Well I went to the phone store today and they solved my problem... I did find this information anywhere else, so in case anyone else has this problem...

The tech guy put me off the phone with the media card to power it... then he back on... it auto formatted the media card and now I can access.

I already tried everything except a step... I would put off the card with the power and then under tension, etc. etc... and the phone would never read or format the card... but the above steps worked!

File of OS 7.1 in my media card but I don't know how to install it. Please tell me the installation process in my bb 9860

You can not install an OS of your press card. You must install the operating system on your computer then use Apploader or Desktop Software to install in the BBerry.
