BlackBerry Smartphones procedure to uninstall an application?

I downloaded several apps I want is no longer on the phone. I wonder what remains the "best" way to remove an application from this phone, i.e. There is no trace?

Go to Options > device > application management.  Locate the application you want to remove and click on it.  There are buttons to remove or change the permissions.  You obviously want to select Delete.  In most cases, once the application is removed, the unit will ask you to reboot to completely remove it from your phone.

  • How to remove BlackBerry Smartphones downloaded (but not installed) applications

    Hello

I accidentally pressed the download button when I was looking at an app and have downloaded and it is now sitting in My World of App World section. It says "Ready to install", but I can't install it because I did not download it. How can I delete this file? When I've highlight it and click on the BlackBerry button, I do not get an option to remove this file - only help, show the memory bar, Log In, install, Application Switch and close. RIM forgot to add an option to remove? Is the only way to get rid of this file is now to insall and uninstall it?

    Thanks for your help!

I don't think so. I think that as soon as you start the sequence to download/install you must perform in order and then uninstall the application. Because it is stuck and don't install it do not in all cases, there is really no wrong save for this be listed this way in your MyWorld. But, you could click and complete the installation, and then follow the normal instructions to uninstall I guess.

Good luck and let us know!

I really send an SOS to you all, but right now I need help.  I've just returned from a seven-month deployment and was not able to use my new 2 "BOLD" for the duration of my output.  I forgot my answer to the question on my security question and impossible to reset my password.  Who should I contact to get a discount to re-set for my account?

Hi and welcome to the forums!

If you are referring to the security password to unlock your device, you will not be able to recover it or changed it. You will have 10 attempts to open it and then our device will perform a security wipe.

If you are referring to your selection of the site password BIS forgotten password. You will receive a PIN message with your password.

If your device does not work, use the attached link to get all the necessary information and then call your operator.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not uninstall Desktop Manager 5.0.1.

    Hello

I'm trying to uninstall version 5.0.1 DM on my Windows 7 computer. After the usual uninstall procedure (remove programs in the control panel), I get an error saying that "this action is only valid for products that are currently installed.

Have tried a few third party uninstall programs, but all have failed...

I need to uninstall the DM to be able to upgrade to OS6 on my Bold 9700

(apploader located traces of DM 5.0.1 and will not continue until DM 5.0.1 is removed...)

appreciate the help to get rid of the DM 5.0.1. or upgrade to OS6 on my "BOLD" without using the apploader

    Tom.

OK, this helps to understand, thanks.

Have you tried this method below to install the software for the OS device?

Honestly, for me, it's about the only method that I don't use, because it is much cleaner and easier for me and I get more control over the upgrade process.

First find your operator and the system operating file that you want to use.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

Make a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close the office at the end Manager.

    1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
    2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not uninstall the Facebook app.

On the storm, I downloaded and updated the Facebook several times. Unfortunately I never receive notifications (I know this isn't the fault of Facebook, BlackBerry). I am now trying to uninstall and remove this application but I can't work out how! I highlighted the Facebook icon and press the "menu" button, but the delete option is not there.

Anyone know what I can do?

    Thank you

    Hi stickievix,

The best way to do it is by going to Options > Advanced Options > Applications.

Search for Facebook in the list, select it and click and then press menu key.

You should then have an option to remove the application.

    See you soon!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not install new applications after upgrade to version 5

Since I downloaded something like "Blackberry OS version 5" on the web and updated my device using the Desktop Manager, I was able to download new applications.

I managed to get the BBM on - the phone would have been useless if not - but no more applications will be downloaded.

Everything seems to work, if I download via the web, or use the Desktop Manager to install applications, there are no mistakes and he said it worked - but there is no icon of the application in a folder.

For example, BB app world: says Office Manager installed, but it is not accessible, because there is no icon anywhere.

My carrier say they can not me more help because it is a question of device.

I got "view all", as well as the icons are certainly not hidden.

I've tried dozens of times battery pull.

I tried a backup using Desktop Manager, then factory reset the device, and then restored - several times.

I tried to uninstall applications through Desktop Manager and install them again.

I don't understand what the settings are meant to be changed after I do a factory reset and restore from a backup.

    Carrier: Orange

    Platform: 4.3.0.23

    App version: 5.0.0.90 (91)

    File: 113507146

Is it possible version 5 does not work with Orange?

After the "Orange UK" link on this page, I see Orange lists v5 for download: http://blackberryfaq.com/index.php/BlackBerry_Operating_System_Downloads

What is the link between these things:

I just updated to Version 5, tonight and had the same problem.  I went to the BB mobile site and there is an upgrade to AppWorld available - Version 2.0.0.36 once I downloaded, installed and rebooted, the icon was back and working.  Hope that helps!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BBM, FB and other applications does not not in wifi!

    Hello!

Was wondering if someone could help me, I'm going crazy! I got a blackberry torch for awhile now which i had bought in England, I live in Spain since September and have used the wifi in my house here in bbm and use all applications, etc. I've recently returned to England to visit and returned to Spain yesterday and connected to my wifi but my bbm, email and fb and all other applications do not work, but I can connect to the browser! I tried different things to make it work again, for example, draws on the battery, taking sim in and out, making sure the data service is on! The wi fi is certainly connected as the signal in the right corner bar is white! Anyone know how to make it work again, he always worked completely fine!

BlackBerry Europe servers have had a few problems these days.  This is why you were unable to connect to all BlackBerry services.

I'm glad I could clear things for you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Can I install an application in two BlackBerry devices?

    Hi all!

When I buy and install an application on a device of BlackBerryOS, so can I download and install again in another device BlackBerryOS without paying again? I use a BlackBerry 9900 and a 8310. The app I want to buy supports two devices.

    Thank you.

Oops... Sorry about that... typo. Yes, BBWorld, no BBM surveys. As I said, some paid via BBWorld apps can be installed on multiple devices if they are all on the same BBID. Other applications may have controls within the application itself, which limits it to a single BB PIN. The developer of the app is the only person who can answer your question with certainty.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not install new applications.

Try to install new applications, I get the following error message.

Solved by uninstalling the desktop software and install the latest version of office sofftware.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones impossible to uninstall previous versions of software

I just got a new Curve 8330 and wanted to install the last v4.5 of office under Windows XP SP2 software.

I have a 7250 and then a 8703e.  At the time I had the 7250, I installed the Software v4.2.  When I arrived the 8703e, I installed the software of her CD which is entitled "BlackBerry v4.1.0 for the 8703e series Wireless Device".  Both are currently present in Windows ' Add/Remove Programs ".

When I try to uninstall the Software v4.2, he invites me to "disc of BlackBerry Desktop Software 4.2".  I do not have a disk (I don't even remember if I installed it on a CD or on the web), so I downloaded site Web de Blackberry v4.2 and tried to re - install with the hope that it would be to decompress the installation files or something so I could fool the uninstall program thinking I had the CD.  No luck... He tells me that I have a newer version already installed.

Okay, so I'm trying to uninstall the 8703e software, and he invites me to "BlackBerry 8703e.msi" which is not on my computer anywhere.  In fact, I have the installation CD, so I only pop in and find this file... Nope, not on the CD.  I even try pointing the prompt to the msi installer file which is here ("BlackBerry Desktop Software.msi"), but it's not accept it.  Thinking that maybe I can re - install the software to see if it unpacks the necessary msi file, it tells me that I have a newer version already installed.

So, I'm basically in a circle without end... Can someone help me with this please?  Thanks in advance!

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\Windows UserName\AppData\Roaming\Research in Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

    5. go into C:\Program Files Research In Motion\AppLoader. (For Vista or Windows 7 64-bit, the path will be C: > Program Files x 86 > common files > Research In Motion > AppLoader) double-click on Loader.exe.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones getting a refund unwanted applications?

    Hey all -

I buy a few applications, but after playing with them, they are just not what I'm looking for (they were personal finance apps)... I would like to get a refund on the app (already deleted your handheld sound), but when I send an email to the seller that they say since I bought to App World I need to go through RIM... Can anyone help point me in the right direction on where to go? Thank you!

Please read the FAQ for App World (located here: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/developers/appworld/faq.jsp).

Since the Support section in the FAQ (section 9), you can get the refund and only in very specific situations:

Customers can request a refund once they buy an application?
BlackBerry App World in general offers no refunds to consumers. However, for jurisdictions where the RIM of record dealer shall provide a refund, the refund may be processed by RIM.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones impossible to uninstall all versions of DTM (5.0.1 or 6.0)

Since my computer is automatically downloaded and installed DTM 6.0, I got nothing else problems.  I was unable to get 6 DTM to recognize my BB Curve 8330, so decided to go back to version 5.0.1 which worked flawlessly. Unfortunately, I could not uninstall 6.0 and get error 1316.

I watched all the answers previous to this error and followed the instructions - made uninstall cleanup as described in KB02206, even do the 'additional information' at the bottom of this article, without success. I always show the two office managers Blackberry list programs, but the Control Panel does not recognize them as not being programs, so I can't uninstall. I even tried to reinstall the version 5.0.1 despite this without success - the same error.

I am running Windows Vista, 64-bit with all the critical updates installed. I was using Trend Micro Internet Security initially, but recently switched to BitDefender. I have a lot of hard disk space and 4 GB of Ram with a Dual core processor.

I really hope someone can help me with this.  I'm more concerned by the day as I don't have a recent backup of my life!

    Thanks in advance

    Linda
