BlackBerry smartphones, removing the email Contact

I recently tried to send an email normally, but the address was wrong.

However, as a result, whenever I'll type the first letters of the name of someone else who is also similar to the incorrect email - which comes first. Is there anyone I can remove it?

  • Open your Messages folder.
  • Press the Menu key > Options
  • (given that you chose to not not your model "BOLD" in your profile list, I can't be precise here) One of the Options such as displaying messages and Actions, you will find a function ' Show recent Contacts when composing Email.
  • Uncheck the box which.

  • BlackBerry smartphones meet the email... quote quote here, here?

I enjoy my first BB (Torch). I have several email addresses synchronize successfully would be with this device. It appears when I reply to an email through my BB I am not able to selectively quote the email in question either by default the entire email is quoted in the answer? Don't I have that right?

    That is right.

BlackBerry® E-mail applies to the integrity of the original, no modification of the original message when you reply. This way there can be no mistake what was in the original e-mail.

There are third-party apps that do what you want, I don't remember the exact name, I think that 'Edit response' is one.

  • Archiving of blackBerry Smartphones removes the Application from the device

    Hello

For the first time, I'm in trouble with the App World.  With the new version 1.1.0.20, when I choose to archive a request (because I quickly short-term memory unit) removes the application from my device.  The icon disappears and everything.  Is what makes it so I don't have the memory needed to operate my camera.  I already uninstalled and re-installed App World a couple of times, restarted the unit etc, and nothing moves.  What is the problem?

    Thank you!!

    Verizon 8330

    OS 4.5.0.138

    App World 1.1.0.20

From my understanding, once you check in an application it will disappear from your list of applications in Options > Advanced Options > Applications. The point of archiving is to uninstall the application from your phone and store it on your SD card until you decide to reinstall.

When you want to use it again, go to your App World downloads section and click on the link to the app. You should get a message asking if you want to restore the app. If you answer Yes, it will get reinstalled from the SD card instead of redownloading the app.

    Does make sense?

  • BlackBerry smartphones remove the icon at the top of the screen

    Hi all

My BB9700 had a strange icon on the top of the screen since this morning, I don't know how to remove it, can someone give me some advice?

    Thank you!

Here is the picture of the icon:

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

This is only a notification of the AppWorld that one of your applications has an update available. Go to MyWorld and check all apps install updates you will find. Then go into Messages and act on (read, remove) the message of AppWorld. Then the icon will disappear.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones why the email app is so crappy?

When I got my Storm 2 9550, I figured I'd get a handheld device with the best email built-in, because email is the root of a Blackberry service (Palm was PDA, WinMob is access to files, iPhone is media, etc.).  So how is it that the native email on this thing is the worst I've ever seen?  How can I make comments on BOARD what this user thinks he has to do (I've yet to find a "comment" or "contact us" link that does not require a support contract)?

To my email I keep messages in IMAP folder.  In order to be useful, my email on my mobile must be able to synchronize perfectly with these files.  The "Berry is not.  It is not yet fully synchronized with my Inbox.  Changes (deletions, changes of State) my Inbox in my office do not appear on the Bay.

Is it a third party customer IMAP messaging that does this?

Hello and welcome to the Forums!

To answer your question in your subject line - the question itself is subjective... it may be an unacceptable app for you, but it is acceptable to many others. Companies to make decisions about how their devices will work. Different companies make different decisions. These differences are that discriminate against one another. If someone wants an iPhone functions, then by all means they must purchase a. Choice and educated decisions are what makes life so rich for us in many ways. Sometimes we make mistakes when we make these decisions - I think you assumed that the BB would work in a way that you wanted... and yet it isn't. However, it is not IMHO a failure on rims part... they do not hide the way including their function of devices. As in all things, buyer beware...

However, if you have specific and constructive ideas for RIM, I heard they accept such email to [email protected]...

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones, remove the "BOLD" Sprint 9650 identifiers

I have an old 9650 "BOLD" that was initially linked to the Sprint network.  I ordered a new SIM from Mobal international SIM card and now my 9650 has successfully used two local GSM providers (AT & T and T-Mobile) and managed to make phone calls.

When the phone starts up, it always says Sprint and shows my old sprint phone number which is not the same as the number assigned to my new SIM card.  Is there a way to remove this information and or wipe clear my BB to his "original non-Sprint State.

    Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

This initial carrier 'splash screen' is hard coded and cannot be changed. When the devices are manufactured, they are made for a specific carrier... and some of these companies have deals where this start screen is included. But it doesn't mean anything... If your device is carrier/MEP unlocked, then the splash screen shows just what the VendorID of the device (which is initially made for carrier). Unlocked is unlocked, regardless of the start screen (but you cannot change the home screen... it is permanent).

In regards to displayed phone number, see:

It might be that Sprint and/or from your current provider or do something on their networks... but you would need to enquire with them. Move a CDMA device to a non-CDMA service can be difficult, with many of the latent unexpected results (like this one). You can also find other useful KBs on point... you need to search for more.

    Good luck!

  • Composition of blackBerry Smartphones remove the 0 after country code

    Hello

When I try to call my blackberry to Itlay (00390131XXXXXX) dial the number without the 0 after code country (+ 39131XXXXXX) and of course the number is not because it is a mistake.

Does anyone know the option to remove this property?

    Thank you

    Luke

    Welcome to the forums.

Check the smart dialing properties, you have put in place.  Click on the Phone/Call Log icon, then go to Options-> Smart Dialing.  There are some predefined numbering set up there rules that you may need to change.

  • BlackBerry smartphones remove the Sim Card from storm

How do you 'delete' the SIM of the storm? I know that the battery has been removed. I tried to delete it, but seems to be stuck? I looked into the Blackberry site, but it does specify that on installation there. The SIM is uder a metal clip, I can "move". No problem with the phone or the sim card, but maybe later, that perhaps I need to remove it. Thank you.

Maybe I have use a small screwdriver and try to lift the clamp metal, to see if that helps, too. Thank you.

  • BlackBerry® Smartphones sent the email from PC comes to BB... How can I stop it?

Every time I send an email (gmail) on my pc to someone else, get a copy on my BB as if I was a recipient.  I'm not a recipient recipient, a cc or BCC.  Yet, he always sends to my BB.

Is there a way to stop this?  It's a little rude...

    Hello!

    A few corrections:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB10332&sliceId=SAL_Pub...

    Or:

    1. Delete your BIS profile for this account.
    2. From a PC, connect to your GMail account. Stop POP. enable IMAP.
    3. Re-create your BIS profile for this account.

    Hope that helps!

  • Problem blackBerry Smartphones remove a contact

    Hi can someone help me...

I have a contact in my address book that I need to remove. I have tried the methods specified which are recommended by the function 'help' on the phone. Nothing seems to work. They are also a BBM contact, and I tried to delete them that way. Remove the BBm contact, she always leaves me the contact in my address book. I tried editing, but the prompt tells me just save data externally... Whatever that means.

In any case, it is still there and IRRITATING me... Please help someone!

OK, in this case, I think I might have understood.  Thanks for this info!

What you were sent is called contact .vcf.  Another person suggested the following solution in another forum.

    1. backup your contacts using the BlackBerry Desktop Software.

    2. now go back and restore your contacts database.

This should ensure that you can edit or delete this contact information.

Try and if it still does not work, let me know and I'll ask for more information.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones only restore BBM contacts - how?

    Hello

How can I restore ONLY my BBM contacts using the desktop software?  I looked through the choice of data but none like the right. I have a Torch 9800 and I use the latest office software. (6.0 bundle 1907)

I use my BB especially for work it is setup with connection of mail company so last week when I had problems they have wiped my BB and now my email and business contacts sync works well again but I lost all my BBM contacts.

In the restore office option, I use the "select parameters and device data" to select data to restore, but I cannot easily determine what type of data I should be restore so I didn't wipe my e-mail contacts existing or other parameters. Given that I had about 60 BBM contacts fields that show a counter that is close (and therefore looks promising) to the correct quantity are: Messages, folders, store of Trusted keys, stored key pocket, and recent contacts.

Any help or thoughts are appreciated.

No, you're not... the latest version is 6.1.0 Bundle 34...

See this KB for a list of all databases on the BB:

    • KB03974 List of all databases on the BlackBerry smartphone

The appropriate injector is there. It's a shame you didn't otherwise save your BBM contacts... BBM itself offers the possibility to make a backup of contacts... I've always found that more useful than the ability to backup/restore of desktop software.
