BlackBerry Smartphones Ringtone alert with Email

I'm trying to find a way to turn my ringer off whenever I get an email when my phone does not vibrate or silent mode. It is very irritating. I looked online and my phone to silent. I created a custom profile, but the rest ring turns off every time that an e-mail message is available in. Any help is appreciated.

I posted a similar message earlier today, but no one could help you.   I checked Crackberry.com and found that you must set sounds on 'Normal' (I put it in "Loud") for your individual settings (telephone, e-mail, SMS, etc.) work.  In this 'Normal' context, the ringing of the e-mail does not sound (if set to silent in the menu "Set Ring Tones / alerts"), but the will of your msg text always sound (assuming of course it is not set to "Silent").    It is the solution, although it would have been nice if the manual contains this info.  Thanks Crackberry.com.      Don

Tips to clear the message unread... try them in the order.

If you have a new icon rogue Message on your home screen, or a negative number (-1), one of these solutions could erase or reset:

    Try these options:
The main Messages folder and select today's date, click on the menu button and then select Mark prior opened.
    * Hard Reset BlackBerry now ALT CAP (right Shift key) and DEL (or with the BlackBerry power, remove the battery and reinsert the battery)
    Messages > saved Messages
Messages > view folders, check each folder (calls, SMS and MMS, and boxes, saved missed boxes, browser, phone logs etc.)
    * Scroll at the top of the folder, on the title menu, click or tap to MARK PRIOR OPEN date
Change your theme and see if it persists and return to your desired theme. (Options > theme > select.)
    * Connect to Desktop Manager > backup/restore > advanced. On the right pane is the list of the data on your device. Scroll to the e-mail highlighted messages database, and then below, select TRANSPARENT. This will clear your system of all messages.
    * Clean and reload your OS.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones need help with my email on my Blackberry Curve

I got an email from Yahoo (POP) and an e-mail to AOL (IMAP) address.  I use firefox thunderbird on my PC and both operate independently of each other. However, I have problems on my Blackberry Curve.  When the email is sent to my Yahoo account, it appears on my AOL account. (I want to prevent this.  In the next miss calls appear on my AOL account and I would like it to appear on my Yahoo account.

I want two emails to get only the mail that is intended for each account. Can someone help me? Thank you

Your BlackBerry will be a message main file "Messages". You will have two more, one for Yahoo, and one on behalf of AOL.

All emails will come in the main folder of Messages, by default, and which cannot be changed. I suggest you hide your folders from Yahoo and AOL, since they basically duplicate what is in the main messages folder.

Some people will hide the folder key messages and let the other email will gather visable specific folders, however since your messages folder main is also the only place your PIN and other messages of type, you may miss one of them if you hide this folder.

For calls to your main Inbox - press the green phone dialing > Menu (to the left of the trackball) and press Options > Call Logging. The NONE value and save.

If you have any other questions, please ask.

    3) restart

    • Pre-BB10 ONLY devices. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.

There are a few possible reasons... of what you say, it seems that you use hotmail WebMail interface from your computer (as opposed to Outlook or some other desktop e-mail application, which, if used might complicate things), these KBs may apply to your situation:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones problem setting up email

Hello everyone, I reccently purchased a vodafone bb 8900 to my friend, I unblocked him today and I am currently using a 02 sim card. My companion had set up on the phone but deleted emails before you send the phone.

My problem is when I try to configure my emails I go to Settings / Setup Wizard / Configuration of email, there is no option to create or add an email account. Only the possibility of using a professional email with an Enterprise Server account. And there is no shortcut to the e-mail settings in the setup folder.

does anyone know how to configure my e-mail from here?

PS This is my first blackberry and I am a complete novice with this stuff so if you can keep things simple, it would be greatly appreciated thank you Ryan

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB 9320 activation Email account: company?

Hello! I am a new blackberry user, I tried searching through google on how to activate an e-mail account. When I click on the mail button, it says: no account activated

    Account activation

To activate your company, enter the details provided by your system administrator in the fields below

I read that it should first of all give you an option: company or the personal account. In this case, it shows no option. Help please!

No, John, you don't need an activation code.

IF all you see is the "Enterprise activation" icon and no personal email configuration icon, that means two things...

    1. Your BlackBerry is not provided with the data BlackBerry BIS Plan; Call your mobile provider and order or subscribe to the plan.
    2. You have subscribed to the correct BlackBerry BIS data Plan; Call your mobile provider and make sure that they have not made a mistake with the wrong plan, and/or the elapsed time of the to be available to your BlackBerry.
    3. Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this way often "resets" you to the network and the data Plan.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones not associated with Blackberry E-mail ID no more active or deleted

    Members,

Here's my problem I forgot my Blackberry ID password, when I tried to reset the password checking the email is sent to the email associated with my Blackberry ID, unfortunately that this email is an email company that no longer exist because I no longer work for this employer.

I know I could do a wipe but I don't want to lose my Blackberry Messenger Contact. What are my options?

    Best regards

    Rifa hicham

    Hello

Unfortunately, your situation requires access to the e-mail account associated with the BB ID so that you can make the necessary properly... all automated methods requires it.

Your choice - contact e-mail former administrator and ask them if they could temporarily restore e-mail account so that you could receive the necessary email.

Create a new BB ID and lose all the previous records of AppWorld.

Create a new BB ID and contact your mobile service provider for formal support and escalation in the RIM, to convince them to manually migrate your previous AW files for the new BB ID.

I don't see any other options... but I don't know why you think that this situation will result in your losing your BBM contact list...

Good luck and let us know!
