BlackBerry Smartphones straight to voicemail

I'm having much too much trouble these days. My phone does not ring, goes straight to voicemail. Last night he automatically deleted all texts and my call log history. He deleted all the emails before I received this morning. It's as if he's possessed. What's wrong???

Welcme to Frums!

It looks like you may be low on memory.

Try to remove your battery. Replace after 30 seconds - allowing you to reboot your phone.

It is probably a basic question but nevertheless me embarrassing because I can't understand it. By pressing L, so on my Pearl is not recognized as the letter. How to fix this? Thank you.

    Press ALT + L key.

As if you have dialed a phone number alphanumeric as 1800 FLOWERS.

You have to press your screem dial "1 8 0 0 [press on and hold the ALT key] ' F L O W E R S", and BlackBerry would translate the numbers you want to dial. "

  • BlackBerry smartphones at & T VoiceMail Viewer download is bad

I use AT & T voicemail Viewer to get messages from my homephone that has Unified Messaging.  Today, I received a message to update and I selected Yes.  When I did the update, it erased the old version and then failed when he went to install the new version.  Then I went on the website to reinstall and now I get a download failure error message.

I also tried on another model of blackberry and the same thing happens.  I believe that this download is wrong, but don't know how to get the old one back.

Well - I guess I'll answer my own post because no one else could understand it.  It turned out that the download of AT & T was indeed harmful to the blackberry torch.  What I had to do at that point was to go to the download page on my computer to figure browser

    https://www.UM.att.com/vmviewer_bb.html

and do a "view page source".  Once I did, I found 2 different downloads.

The blackberry was auto download was

    http://home.widgets.um.att.com/home/blackberry/4.7.0/ATTVoicemailViewer.jad -

It was the one who originally was a failure, however, I noticed a second with a description of the 'old' which had a similar but different download -.

    http://home.widgets.UM.att.com/home/BlackBerry/ATTVoicemailViewer.jad

I typed it in my Blackberry Torch and download installed successfully.  It's a shame that Blackberry or AT & T could help with this issue (and AT & T never bother to return my call of support) and I'm sure I can't be the only one to experience, but I hope they will get on the ball with their support services.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    Best!

  • BlackBerry Smartphone calls go directly to voicemail when Im listening to mp3 player with headphones.

I was under the impression that if I was listening to my media player on my Blackberry 8120 with a listener that accompanies it, I'd be interrupted if someone called. I tested this the other day and my call went straight to voicemail. Is there a setting that will change that? I checked everywhere I knew to check on the phone and could not get what it is.

Also, not that it is important that much but my phone cell led flashes 3 different colors. Red, green and blue. I have no idea what the difference is, can anyone help with a knot of blackberry?

    Thank you
    Jason

What your device profile is configured on?

For the second question, the device flashes red if there is an unread message or notification; is green when there is an active network connection; and blue is then a bluetooth device is connected.

    Any suggestions?

Hello and welcome to the community!

You said "reset hard ', but it can mean a lot of things... so...

Otherwise, I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, thinking... what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

Good luck and let us know!

  • Help with turning on Mobile network blackBerry Smartphones

My blackberry curve does not connect to a wireless network.  I tried to check the box Mobile network in respect of the management of connections and do not access.  I turned the phone off and then turned it back... nothing.  I have disabled all connections and then turn it back on and still nothing.  When I try to call from the phone, I enter the phone number, press the button send green and nothing happens.  I try to compose my contacts and nothing happens.  I tried calling my phone and it goes straight to voicemail.  I am home, which, for the last 6 months, the signal was strong.  I'm at my wits end.  Help!

I jumped the battery and put it again and everything was fine.  In the 6 months that I have owned a Blackberry, it's never got stuck like that.  I hope that it is an instance of time.

  • Answering BlackBerry Smartphones

I want to set up my curve to call voicemail and enter the password without having to type.  Is this possible and how do I do it?

    Thank you

First of all, since the center of technical Solution (http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB10881):

To set the automatic numbering of the voicemail on the BlackBerry smartphone password

    1. In the home screen, click the icon for the phone , open the menu and select Options > voice mail.
    2. Two options are available:

Access number and several others (BlackBerry Device Software 4.1)
Access number and password (BlackBerry Device Software 4.2)

    3. In the access number field, type composed phone number to connect to the voice mail box. (this is usually pushed by your operator)
    4. In the field additional number or password , enter the password to access the voicemail box.

Note: If you enter multiple sets of numbers for the password, use a comma to separate the sets. Pause for two seconds before dialing additional numbers is used.

Now, it's for the voice mail of your BlackBerry.  If you want to program a phone number in your address book for your work phone voicemail, directions are here:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB13907

To add a pause or a wait to a phone number in the address book application, follow these steps:

    1. In the home screen, click address book.
    2. Click on a contact entry.
    3. Open the menu and click Edit.
    4. After typing the phone number in the phone number , Open the menufield.
    5. Click Add Pause or Add wait.
    6. Type the additional numbers.
    7. Open the menu and click Save.
  • Conversion of blackBerry Smartphones files

I'm trying to find out if it is possible to have my voicemail from my office phone to be sent to my email in turn listen on my blackberry. I got as much as Yes, it can be done, but impossible to find someone who knows how to do so that I can hear my messages. They say I must be able to convert VBK to wav file. and they don't know how to make that happen. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

This is a golden oldie, but he always comes back every now and then.

There are restrictions regarding the .wav file that is created.

I'd hate to see you get converted into a .wav file that is encoded with the wrong codec.

    Read this for any relevance.

"Cisco Unity has been configured for recording voice mail of the .wav files in format G729A, which is not natively supported by the Service of attachment of a BlackBerry. The BlackBerry attachment Service is unable to decode and translate the attachment in a format that can be opened on the BlackBerry smartphone. The BlackBerry Attachment Service supports audio files encoded using codecs G711 or GSM6.10. »
