  I installed BlackBerry Desktop Software 7.1 (twice from different sources) on my Windows 10 PC.

  I paid and you just download the GetItBack on my Blackberry. I tested by creating a false 'lost' scenario and I was surprised by the news that I could retrieve such as location and contacts. He knows everything... Now on the servers of convenience software is this info, secure? Who else then me can I have access to? What other information the download can recover my BB?

  With respect to the password manager, you should have no worries.  The holder of the password database is encrypted and as you know, requires a password to access.  Essentially, if someone knows your password Keeper password, they could access, otherwise it's quite sure.

• BlackBerry Smartphones BB Desktop Software 7.0 update will not synchronize contacts from Yahoo!

  I have a Curve 8520 and I use Yahoo! for my email and contacts.  I've updated my office doftware version 7.0.0.59 and I can no longer sync my contacts.  The only sources offered by the drop-down menu are Outlook and Windows.  Can I downgrade my Desktop Software to an earlier version (including ded recognize Yahoo!)?  Or is there another solution?

  I finally got a solution to the original problem.  On the BB, I deleted my Yahoo! e-mail account and he added once again.  I found myself with a lot of duplicate contacts, both Yahoo!, but I managed to delete the group that claimed to have a wireless sync, and the other game seems to be OK.  So problem solved (I think).

  With respect to the slow loading of Web pages, this has always been a problem.  It is less a problem when I'm very close to my Virgin Media hub.  I have used other smartphones non - BB, which are much faster.  And my daughter Iphone is loads faster (but then it's more than double the price).  So I was wondering if all BB is slow, or just my model (Curve 8520).  I can understand if it's just this model, like Virgin had many £ 8520's to 10 per month about 20 months ago.  But if they are all the same, I'll go for something different when ends my 2 year contract.

  having a problem updating v7 to v7.1 tried on air downloads & also through desktop software, phone refuses to restart after the installation, then if the forced reboot phone turns on but apps won't install not phone crashed & automatically restarts States "apps have been uninstalled" what happened on 2 two identical problems of bb9360 & again then back to v7 decommissioning have no problem

  Please manually download your version 7.1, and then install it on your computer that has the Desktop software on it. After the installation, delete a file in the folder Apploader by Research In Motion, named vendor.xml

  Hi, Coppet, BlackBerry Desktop Software works fine on Win 8. You can insert using the BDM CD you got with the device or go to blackberry.com and dowanload the PC software site.

  Hello world.

  I had a problem with my app, thanks to this forum, I found that the reason was the old version of my device (on the box fairs 4.5.0.52) software.

  I need the 4.5.0.62 version and more.

  Today, I spend several hours looking for such a version, but I'm only confused with all available versions.

  Hello

  Hope someone can help me.

  My BB Torch didn't come with a disc for the desktop software and tried (unsuccessfully) to download, it forms the site several times.  He continues to stop about 10 MB saying he is interrupted - even though I have fast DSL.

  Can recommend a remedy for me - maybe I want so much more synchronize my laptop and bb so that I don't have a lot of double work.

  Just to confirm that you do everything correctly, go to www.blackberry.com/desktop to find the link for the download.  If you try to download from there, and you're having trouble, clear the cache and cookies of your computer and try again.

  And major problem, BB Desktop Software said address book not installed.

  I did a lot of permutations and combinations as install and uninstall desktop software but no positive results.

  Hello sudhir4u077 and welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

  Looks like your address book database is corrupt.

  Back up your data from BlackBerry and do a cleanup of security as indicated in KB14058. When the deletion is complete, check to see the address book appears as installed.

  I have a BlackBerry 8100 with software version v4.2.1.101. With this version, I could not able to listen to music through my bluetooth (wireless). So I dicided to upgrade my software with version 5.0 (later). I downloaded the 5.0 version of the Desktop software and installed in my laptop.

  After installed, software to office by train to install device software v5.0 in my blackberry8100 which is connected via the USB port on my laptop.

  He has been collecting information from device and tries to save my camera... so far very well.

  After backup, next step is, 'connecting to the device ROM', ther, I get "ERROR FATAL" took place and saying try again.

  I tried several times, always I am getting same error msg which connect to my device. Even I tried, after removing my SIM card, memory card.

  I checked the compatibility of the version of the software for my 8100 device, its says YES. But still I am facing this problem...

  Fortunately, my camera works fine with my old software itself, even if the error occurred during the upgradation... :-)

  Please, help me to update my device with the latest version of the software.

  I solved this problem myself only...

  What I did:

  1 uninstalled my DesktopSoftware v5.0, which I've already updated since version 4.1

  2 install bits version DesktopSoftware later, I chose DesktopSoftware v4.5.

  3 downloaded Device Software v5.0 (Web-based)

  4 removed my my camera SD memory card.

  5 run it downloaded Device Software v5.0.

  He back-uped my data, remove the old software and installed the new version of the software.

  Clean and good appearance than before. Very well...

  I'm not sure it's the right way... , but it worked for me...

  I have a Curve 8310 and am trying to DL Office on a new computer, but I lost my original disc. I know it's a stupid question, but I can't really know what software to download!

  my phone is 8310, always running v 4.2.2.170 (updates which even today, if I can DL the desktop software, not sure what to do first!)

  and the version number is followed by "Platform 2.5.0.30.

  The device OS version is normally irrelevant at the time to choose a version of the desktop software - although I usually like to use a DTM version that is at least as recent as the device OS version. The main factor for the choice of a DTM version is based on the integration of the Organizer you want. If you want to sync to your desktop PIM, you must use a DTM version that is compatible with this PIM. See this KB:

  • KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager to synchronize

  Your choice next is language - or only in English or multilingual.

  Your next choice is Media Manager or not.

  Once you have made these choices, you can refine the exact file to download. On the download page of choice, there are a lot of other selections... These are all USB driver-packages only, in several languages. You can ignore those that the full package of DTM includes all the drivers you need.

  In case you haven't, here's the RIM for DTM download page:

  Edit - oh, and don't forget your device from your carrier OS package. You that install on your PC as well at the top of DTM and changes DTM to be customized to your BB on your support with your device operating system level - so that he can present appropriate recommendations.   I connected my Bold 9000 from ATT to 6 BBDM and chose to update the software of the device from 4.6 to 5.0.

  I got the following error:

  Try to download and install the BlackBerry Device Software on your PC, your provider's site in this list: http://bbry.lv/ad7CII and install then on BlackBerry via Desktop software-> tab Device-> Update my device.

  Hiya. I bought a Blackberry 8830 to online auctions. It came with software version 4.5.0.186 (Platform 3.4.0.59). I am with Telstra (Australia) and the software version of Telstra I downloaded from the Blackberry site, to get the applications specific to Telstra, is the 4.5.0.75 version and the Platform 2.7.0.66, which seems to be the latest version.

  (the file name is 8800EASTASIA_PBR4.5.0REL75PL2.7.0.66_A4.5.0.52TELSTRA.exe).

  My phone will not be upgraded to this and I guess because it is a downgrade. Any ideas anyone?

  Well, since you're on 4.5.0.186, and you want to install is 4.5.0.75, which in fact would be a downgrade. But... when I look at the download of Telstra (via this portal) site, I can't even find their offering a bundle of BONES for a 8830... only a 8800, should not work at all. Maybe it's actually the reason why you can not install it... because it is not compatible with your 8830.
