  The network is recognized and a Wi - fi connection is enabled.  When I scan for a network connection, it shows that it is connected but it is not.

  Nothing happens.  I followed instructions and turned off the mobile networks and could not connect to the internet.  I phoned Telusmobility (where I got on the phone) for the fourth time, after I phoned Belkin (the router manufacturer) and he couldn't get it to work either.  On the fourth try with Telus Mobility, he said go to the Options in the settings then advanced and then browser and browser that was set for the browser (by default) and he told me to assign to the Hotspot browser option and I was able to connect to the internet immediately through my wi - fi.  He knew his stuff!  Well what he would have answered my call about 8 hours earlier.

  Hello.  I've worked for a company and access enterprise server needed to receive e-mails from company on my Curve 9330.  When I need is more capability, I called my provider, Sprint and cancelled my plan Enterprise Server and was able to set up a personal email account.  I need to recharge the phone to the default values and now when I go in the installation program to configure a personal e-mail account I only get the option.  When I select the email icon I automatically join in a sign 'no active account' and wonder of my enterprice account activity by providing an email and a password.  I don't have these and my personal e-mail id and password do not work.  I looked through the forums and follow the suggestion which has not solved the problem.  I also called Sprint and confirmed I have more company on my account/plan, in addition to checking with my local cable/internet provider that they do not cause the issue.  I rebooted the device 3 times today and have not made any progress.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

  With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

  1) register HRT

  • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
  • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

  2) Remove and return Service books

  • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
  • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
  • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
  • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

  3) restart

  • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
  • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile provider for official support... but, this time, not only ensure that BES is deleted, but the BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) is active, this is necessary in order to have personal email accounts on your BB device (as well as many other owners of BB services).

  Hi, my blackberry 9360 is sometimes a really weird thing. Once a week, after that I used the device to check email, check facebook or even simply by removing the door in leather and put it right back it drains the battery at a very fast pace and hotter than usual. I'm not aware immediately, but when I use the unit 3 hours later for example the battery is almost all gone and the unit is warmer than usual. Please not that it is warmer, but at a level acceptable, just as if it had been used during this period of time, not overheating. I charge the unit and check the activity monitor application and the CPU was mainly used by the... Idle CPU. The part of the device that heats is not the battery, but the device itself. It is rather annoying because I don't know when it will happen again. The only email account, I have installed is a Hotmail account and it goes as well with wifi on and outside.   Are sure you you are in an area where you have a good network coverage signal strength or if falls frequently.

Instead, press the Menu key, select close or Exit to exit the application. Don't let your browser open when not in use.   Make that first make a local backup of your BBM contacts, after backup, delete or uninstall any existing version of your BlackBerry.   I have a similar problem with my 9810. Occasionally (one or two times a week maybe) my sound disappears for no apparent reason. I play a song or a video in Media Player and even if I see that the song/video is playng no sound.

  I wonder if it is related to the fact that I have a custom profile all the time (except in bedside mode). I'll try to play with it and report.

  The only solution I found is to perform a reboot of the device (ALT_SHFT_DLT). Putting off the unit and fix it.

  I use my Yahoo email address as my main profile to my calendar (CICAL) and messaging (CMIME) as my default Services.  I do a daily sync with my Outlook 2003 calendar, contacts, notes, etc., via the USB port but I will not sync my BB calendar with my Yahoo calendar (I don't even use Yahoo calendar besides).  Whenever I have to edit a record on my BB calendar I see arrows at the top right flashes.  I guess that means that my curve trying to synchronize changes made to another application, may Yahoo calendar.  How can I disable this feature?  I want to reduce the most possible the wireless transmission of my BB and I think that it is a useless activity since I am not wireless sync my calendar for something else.

  It has nothing to do with the fact that your yahoo email is configured on your BB, although its default configuration BOF calendar. It will not sync wireless with yahoo. It is not possible unless you have yahoo GO application, which I did not even think synchronizes with your BB calendar, just gives you direct access to your yahoo calendar.

  My BB has always arrows, rarely is it not... it does not mean that final data... for data control... checking doesn't use your data, not only the sending and receiving

  All data plans are not created equal... BBM is an exclusive service of BB, requiring a subscription to a data specifically appropriate plan to activate it. If, for example, you have a "generic" data plan, then that would not activate BBM. You must have a specific BB data plan and that which is sufficient to allow BBM. But only your mobile service provider can answer the question of whether BBM should or should not work under your specific data plan.

  Hmmm... Well, according to all the literature, it is supposed to work in this process of 2 floors. So lets try a few other things:

  Clear the application cache:

  1. open the App World

  2. go to my world

  3. for the BB keyboard-oriented - hold down the ALT key and press on, in the sequence R, then S, then T

  You have an e-mail software like Outlook or Windows Mail installed on your web device?  If this is not the case, a mailto link will do nothing for you.  This is one of the many reasons not to use the mailto links.  They are not reliable for a large number of people who do not have or need an e-mail software.

  The other major drawback to mailto links is spam they attract robots and harvesters of e-mail.   For best results, use a contact form and the processing script in a language Server supported by your hosting - php, perl, asp.net plan, etc...  Ideally, you want a secure script that hides your email address of harvesters and discourages spam bots.  Check with your Web host to see if they have scripts, you can use.
