BlackBerry smartphones turn off the touch screen

How can I disable my touch screen then on the phone?  Clearly, I'm not very saavy with my phone.

Thank you!!

Welcome to the forums, Laurabeth!

Fozzy said, there is no adjustment with the native device software to disable the touch screen, but there are some app you can find in AppWorld to achieve this.

Such an application (which I use) is TalkLock, and function, it's just that... locks, the touch screen while you are online.  There are other apps that you will find to lock your device that are more customizable than just the phone, but for your application (and mine), TalkLock would be the way to go... very simple app.  Just install it and it works!

Hi, I have a HP TouchSmart 320-1030, so it can work on your touch screen:

    1. Press Windows + X logo.
    2. Select Device Manager from the list.
    3. Click on the small arrow next to Interface devices to expand the list.
    4. Click the touchscreen driver (in my case, Voltron NextWindow touch screen).
    5. Right click and select disable from the list.
    6. Click Yes in the dialog box that asks you if you are sure you want to disable the touch screen driver.

When you want your touchscreen to work again, follow the above procedure, EXCEPT when right-clicking on the touch screen driver, select enable.

Or if you go in manage connections, choose the first choice disable all connections, or just uncheck the Mobile network.

  • Turning off the touch screen saves the battery?

Hi all. I have recently bought one of these new Asus 2 in 1 folding booklets (TP500LN-CJ035H).

The battery life is OK, but I want to squeeze a little more out of it, so I was wondering if disabling the touch screen by Device Manager, will save you piles. I'm not too fussed on the touchscreen then don't use do not really mind.

    Hi Luke_404notfound

Thanks for posting the question on the Microsoft Community Forums.

From the description, I understand you are looking for ways to extend the life of your laptop battery and wonder if the deactivation of the touchscreen will save batteries.

If you do not use the touch screen, you can go ahead and disable it to see if it increases your battery life. However, may I recommend try you some of the steps listed here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows-8/tips-save-battery-power

  • Is there a Windows API that I can use to turn off the touch screen of WIndows 8?

It makes sense for a Tablet have a touchscreen. A valve system, I would like to live without a touchscreen.

I would like to disable the touchscreen disabled if a machine is not in tablet mode. However, I can't find any API to do it on Windows 8. in Windows Mobile, there are APIs such as DisableTouch and EnableTouch. I wish I had such somethings on Windows 8 Pro. When the touch screen is disabled, the OS will never be aware of activity on the touch screen.

    Is anyway to do this?

    Thank you

    Hello

It seems that you want to disable the touch screen on a Tablet using the C++ programming language. I suggest that you post your question in the MSDN forums. The community on these forums is more experienced to answer questions related to the programming language.

  • BlackBerry smartphones turn off the Blackberry "BOLD"

OK, I know this sounds stupid, but what is the correct procedure to turn off and restart the Blackberry "BOLD"? I hav tried holding in the key power, I get the stop message, press any key to cancel, I leave it alone and the backlight turns off, left alone for 10 minutes and then press the Power button again and the phone comes to life instantly, with the phone in the same position as when I wanted it off, i.e. it looks like it's just in mode 'sleep' as it is consumed in less than a second. I resorted to the battery, but it becomes laborious. And I cannot locate the info in the manual, it says just press the switch! I have also tried holding down until it seems to power off, but alas he always goes in mode 'sleep', please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

    Please mark the thread solved.

  • 'Data Connection Refused' blackBerry smartphones turn off the notification!

Hello, I'm on sick leave for the next three months and my work doesn't pay for my phone, and I really didn't want to know how many emails are piling up in my Inbox, while I'm away, so I called AT & T today and cancelled my internet package.  So, right now, I'm only using my blackberry as a phone and calendar, tasks, etc.  There is a notification that appears on top of my phone that says 'Data Connection Refused'.  I looked through the options and I can't understand how to transform that turned off, any suggestions?

    Thank you!!!

This means that your SIM is not provisioned for BlackBerry services... which is obvious as your request to cancel your BlackBerry data plan. To delete "Data Connection Refused' on top of your device go Options -> Mobile network -> Data Service: Off.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones turn off the Radio?

I can't access the data from my phone part.  It indicates an antena and the words 'off' in the upper right.  How can I activate it?

    Hello.

You have to find the icon 'Wireless' or 'Manage connections' on your device to turn on the wireless.  Scroll through the icons until you see 'Turn One Wireless' at the bottom of the screen (and then click this icon) or until what see you 'manage connections' (then click on the icon and click the box Mobile network).

  • BlackBerry Smartphones turn off the light in night mode

    Hello

Night light of my BB 9700 (OS 6) turns off when it is in mode.

How can you do with the BB Curve 9380 (OS 7.1)?

    Thank you for your attention.

    Kind regards

Hello and welcome to the community!

In fact, the judgment was, I recall, a bug. It was supposed to work in the screen remained mode bedside... otherwise, it is not useful as a bedside clock. Therefore, I would say that your 9700 has a level of operating system with the bug, and your 9380 is WAD - works as expected.

    Good luck!

  • Option to turn off the touch screen when the stylus is detected is no longer available in windows 7

N - trig drivers with windows vista there is an option where you could choose the option to disable the pen touch when input side of the screen.  This feature is no longer available when I installed the new drivers of the n-trig in win7.

I use my Tablet for taking notes. But with dual mode that detects an entry where I rest my Palm on the screen to write. Whenever I have to go and disable the Enter key completely before starting to write and turn once I finished it.

I there a way to activate the automatic mode with Windows 7 n-trig drivers?

    Hello

I also talked to N-trig's customer service and they said that the Auto mode will appear in the next version of the HP drivers. According to them, he would be released in about 2 months.

  • BlackBerry smartphones turn off the setting 'clear '.

Currently after 10 attempts to connect my blackberry will wipe away all by itself. How can I change to wipe itself like that, to lock just during a certain period of time.

I went to try to change the security options settings, but I do not see it there.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

You cannot change the clear function is an option, it's a security feature.

The only way to remove the possibility of the security wipe is to disable the password feature.

    Thank you
