  Sorry for the delay, been busy. I checked the KB article and was going to check this out, however when in the folder of BB, I found a 'Language' tab and clicked on it.

  For some reason any in "Lnaguage" my "input language" has been updated with the Español. I changed it to English and I now have my apostrophe back.

I see so many people with similar problems, but no answers... my problem is: most of my friends who have a bb10 cannot open my bbm messages. whenever I have send a message and they try to open it it blanks off-farm their entire bbm dwn and brings back them to the home on their phone screen. but I'm not getting a red x, I get a tick, D & R (as they attempt to open the msg it marks it R on my bbm) also my profile picture is empty on my bbm friends once this happens. I have only one user bb10, that I cannot msg.

  I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

  If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

  But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '.   Hi guys. so I've updated my software on my bb curve 8520... Well the bb desktop software had asked me to do the experience works best with my phone. but it turns out to be the opposite. I can not call more I get this message when I try to call someone "can't call the current call" or if I managed to call I can't hang up unless the caller hangs up. my memory card is not working, or more, music and videos say 'impossible to read the content' but I can see all my photos. I can not view my airtime balance or update my bis. I tried to connect my memory card on my pc and it works fine when connected but as soon as I disconnect plays anything from my phone. I rebooted a million times. formatted the entire phone but nothing works! my alarm does not sound and sometimes when someone me the your text does not ring SMS. the update is performed from a 107... something to an update from 1788.   Given what you describe, I think that is better to a clean OS reload. The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

  (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

  2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

  (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

  (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

  • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

  5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

  • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader

  Well, RIM develops upgrades of the OS, your mobile operator "put out there" for you to upgrade.

  And there are many warnings rich to do upgrades of the OS without first accomplishing your own backup device independent... but this is not serious now.

  1. Anywho, do... go into Options > device > Applications, search AppWorld on your list and IF it is, delete it.
  2. Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.
  3. Now, use your browser to go to the www.blackberry.com/appworld and download/install AppWorld again.
