BlackBerry Smartphones why my livelihood of the home screen messages in the process of disappearance (SMS, missed calls, etc.)?

My messages, all other next to the e-mail, because I have not yet implemented, just keep disappearing.  I have the theme of the home screen that displays messages, calendar, call log, and applications.  The messages section shows me when I have a missed call or text or something like that... but for some reason, I go back to my phone and I do not see who called or texted.  The messages section of the home screen is blank and if I select and go to my App messages, there are only 3 registered and 2 are BlackBerry April 25 and July 30, only appears from my boss on 5 August.  The only reason why I can not even imagine still appears so is because she too has a blackberry.  I don't know, but it really starts to aggravate the crap out of me.  Someone knows how to help?

I went to the General Options messages and ensures that all calls are sent to messages and call log.

Oh yes!  The call log does not nothing either.  It's ridiculous!

To please help because I love this phone, it does not work to the maximum but it's disappointing.

This has been asked before and solved... you have a problem of memory... you must have at least 12 MB of free space for the phone works smothly. If you have not yet get a memory card and move your photos and videos on memory card. and ringtones downloaded... to find out what the status of your file is click on options of--> the situation and see what your file free it is another thing that could help is to do a battery pull, then do step above... Also make sure you have all internet programs running in the background IE: weatherbug... it causes continually downloads of data... clear your browsing history by going to a browser opened by clicking on menu, then options and then cache and clear your history... There are other measures to help, but I don't see any at the present time...

My battery went completely dead last night because my charger at home did not work.  I charged my phone in the car and when it was made, an icon, I've never seen appeared on the time line (from left to right... volume, #emails, #facebook notifications, then star of gold with a black dot in the center of it.)  I looked online for this symbol and not found.  Anyone know what this means?  I've looked through my emails, contacts, facebook, messages etc and you can find anything similar.

    You're not being a nuisance.

So, if you look through ALL your mail folders, press the U he brings you to each unread message.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones remove a web link on home screen icon

    Hi all

I downloaded a few applications that I could find were demos of games, but turned to be just links to the site Web. It was basically just a ploy to get additional income, which I suppose is their prerogative, but I found the label to mislead. In any case, I now want to delete these 'demos', but I can't figure out how. The selection menu will not let me delete icon (it may be hidden, but I not gone), and they are available in Configuration of him--> Applications. They also do not appear in App World, so I can't archive/delete them from there. I have worked on this for a while now, nothing helps. Any thoughts?

    Where did you downloaded from?

Could they be the shortcuts of typical installation service pushed books? Look at the Options > Advanced > Service books. You see there?

    Hello

From your post, I'm not at all sure that you actually tried that did not work. Therefore, see:

    • Article ID: KB10167 How to clear data from the BlackBerry Smartphone user

This is the process to clear any user databases out of the unit. If this does not work, please be explicit about exactly what measures you try and exactly how they work.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones synchronization events created on the device

    Hello!

I have a Blackberry Curve 8900 and use Entourage 2008 on my Mac for notes, calendar, and contacts of sycning.  Everything seems to sync both ways very well - outside of calendar events created on the device.  They synchronize with Entourage.  In addition, the changes I make to an event on the blackberry is not updated in Entourage.

    Can anyone help?

I recently bought a Blackberry Storm 2, and I use Entourage 2008 and installed the Blackberry Desktop Manager. I had a few problems just getting up and running together. But now that's happening, everything seems to work fine schedule and even create events on the device. When I sync appear in Entourage, although they do not have a category.

Have you checked iCal to see if they are be synchronized with the Entourage calendar in iCal? This may seem Basic, but have you checked the calendar section of the Blackberry Desktop Manager to ensure that the menu "add events created on the BlackBerry smartphone to" is set to the Entourage? I don't seem to have any other option, but I thought to ask anyway. Have you checked the advanced settings in the Blackberry Desktop Manager to synchronize all events?

I create a calendar on the device event and had the address send using one different address other then the first email address for the device and for some reason any event do not synchronize. When I create a new event, however, the address to send it to the help is on the default.

The only problem I seem to have is if I change the status of an event on the device (from busy free for example), he gets twice in the Entourage, but even in the event new status is still set to busy.

I hope this can help you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones remove our mail from the device or server or the two lost when option OS upgraded

I upgraded my OS 9360 recently of OS 7.0 to v 7.1.0.336, 9.6.0.51 platform. Since the upgrade I have more the possibility to delete email messages on handheld only or on the server as well. I really enjoyed having the option to delete totally or just on my handheld and then discovered the mail later on my pc.

When I delete a mail from my BB, now, it just removes it from my device and the leash on the server without the option to remove it so. Can you please help me get this option back?

    Kind regards
    Stefan.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Please see, on your BB, here:

    • Home screen > Messages > > Options > email reconciliation

On this screen should be the ability to set the preference to "remove the ' back to 'ask '.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Appworld not appearing on the home screen

I am currently using a Blackberry Curve 9300 3 running on os 6 (6.0.0.448) and every time I have download Appworld, it does not appear on my home screen. It started when I upgraded BB Appworld

    Please be aware,

1.I have clicked on the button "Show all" and it does not appear

    2. I checked in all folders.

    3. several reinstalations, but no positive results

    4. several device restarts / battery/tire factory restarts have been tempted, but no positive results

    5. when I look under application management, Blackberry Appworld (3.1.4.25) IS installed

It seems that others have this problem as well, but someone knows how to solve this problem! (It also seems that RIM has no suggestion on its help desk page)

Much appreciated, this has caused me so much frustration.

    Yes, I have.
But it seems that the I found the way to solve this problem by myself. And I hope this will help others.
    1. downgrade your device
    2. download Blackberry Appworld
    3. (updated all the apps that have had the same problem)
    4. update your device
    5. your device will now Appworld and all the other apps that had conflicting problems.

It turns out that downgrade your device would force allows you to install an older version of App World (which will work). After the upgrade of your device (which will install a new fresh OS) App World will be updated as well in a State where she works on the device without any problems. You can now use App World to download all the other apps that had the same problems.
Please keep in mind, I used DM to downgrade and improve

It turns out that I am the first to solve this problem, same RIM had no idea (on their BB help section)
If you encounter the same problems do not hesitate to contact me to solve your problems.

    Thanks for your support,

  • BlackBerry smartphones AOL mail icon on the home screen / globe upstairs with the #2 to the left of it does mean?

    Hello

I just got my phone this week. I loved this day! I am just confused with some things...

    First of all:

I have my email to work for me and I have a gmail icon just to mail on the home screen. Is there a similar app AOL mail? or is the AOL Search icon only downloadable icon to the home screen?

    Second:

On my phone, there is a world high above with the #2 in the left of it... My sister and my brother has the exact same phone me as long as they don't have it. what it means?

    THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!

    Nilda

If you use Gmail app. As much as I know there is no BB AOL application itself like Gmail app.

But you can incorporate into your AOL via BIS account (http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/software/internet.jsp) and gmail account can be integrated in the same way. This way, your e-mail will be pushed the same corporate e-mail, without having to chk mailed on the app.

Can you be a bit more descriptive on your 2nd quest?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones why the two icons of the emails?

I don't understand why there are two icons for e-mails or messages.

I would like to remove one of my e-mail account and keep the Messages one right.

    That is problem?

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Are you referring to the icon associated with your email address?

It would look like an envelope with a globe with your email address under.

I hide those and put in a folder, it reduces clutter on the home screen.

All messages are in the queue, and I manage them all what he.

Make sure that you remove, just hide. If you remove it, you remove the account!

    Thank you

  • BlackBerry smartphones could not connect to the WiFi system at home - "unable to get an IP address.

Like many of you, I have WiFi connection problems with my new BB9700.

When I'm out of the House, I can see my BB, find local WiFI hotspots and I can connect to them immediately.

However, when I get home, my BB doesn't connect to my WiFi, return the following error message:

    Unable to connect

Reason: Could not obtain an IP address

I downloaded the latest version of the software BB (now running version 5.0.0.351), cold all started in view (router, telephone, coffee table and the cat) but still the same error. My foot pain, the cat is not about me and I still can't connect to the House! Of course, my carrier connection works perfectly like their outrageous fees structure... (They are 3G or Hutchinson Telecom under a different name).

My WiFi access provider (PCCW / HK Netvigator) checked my system configuration and report that everything works correctly. I can connect my PS3, my laptop, my Nokia E71 without any problem and the guy from the hotline can see when I connect each of them to the system.

I tried different combinations of switching the usual options on and off on the BB but always get a connection.

SO, any of you kind of people you have a solution other than the cat suddenly once again?

    Thanks in advance,

    RS. HK.

    Dear Mike,

I basically solved this issue will me a LOT of searching.

    Step 1.

    Router

MAC address of my Blackberry 9700 has added to the list of MAC access on my router configuration. (Subject to the router to save settings)

    Step 2.

    Router

Reset the Security Type on router configuration None (presented to the router to save settings)

    Step 3.

    BlackBerry Bold 9700

Delete the profile of my WiFi at home in the WiFi Options

    Step 4.

    BlackBerry Bold 9700

Reentry into the profile of my WiFi at home in WiFi Configuration

WiFi in the House. SUCCESS AT LAST!

    Step 5.

    BlackBerry Bold 9700

In manage connections, unchecked Mobile Network (i.e. Off and No Way can connect to my 3G service provider)

    Step 6.

Turn off the Blackberry Bold 9700.

    Battery pull.

    Restart the Blackberry Bold 9700.

The House immediately found of WiFi Internet and all other functions working perfectly.

Only problem is now my home network is unsecured. (Can't get the IP address if WEP security is enabled)

So it's all good now and forward it to someone else who has the same problem.

    Happy Chinese new year!

  • BlackBerry smartphones why Rogers have plans for BB and the plans for the BB? Is so different from BB Phone?

IM in Vancouver to the Canada.

I now use a SS Galaxy Note After the termination of my plan with Rogers where I used a Sony Ericsson K790A of 2007 which has been a pain in my fingers to type (pressing the key '7' 4 times to get an "s" LOL).

Im having trouble typing on the screen Android Galaxy Note (many corrections, difficulty getting the cursor where I want, etc.) and my msg speed has decreased substantially.

So, I want to dedicated as on the BB keys. IM now Scouting on BB against Android

but I'm afraid to see Rogers have different regimes of BB and ppl so many here have so many fundamental problems with things that are a mistake on the Galaxy Note like GMAILs disappear from their screens and calendar synchronization issues and you name it.

Can anyone recommend a phone good qwerty keyboard which is a bar phone and more reliable than the BB?

    Thanks for your review.

In the title of your thread, you wonder if BlackBerry is really so different a phone. Yes. When you subscribe to a BlackBerry data plan (also known as the BIS, BlackBerry Internet service), your phone sends most of its data through the servers of RIM where it is compressed and encrypted.

Also you will need a data of BlackBerry (BIS) plan to use BlackBerry native apps like BBM and receive emails on your BlackBerry.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones deletion mystery icon on the home screen

An icon appeared over one that shows the number of e-mails.  It's the #2 and one icon I don't know - maybe a small globe.  I can't get rid of this.  It may have something to do with a search I tried yesterday, was not successful and clicked on save the query.  I called the Blackberry line at T-Mobile, but the representative could not help.

I would like to know what it is and how to get rid of.

    Thank you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how do I enlarge the size of the clock on the home screen?

New to BB. Just got a new 9630 Sprint of my employer.

How do I enlarge the clock on the home screen?  I can't see the dang thing.

    Thank you

There are not thousands, for the 9630. Perhaps at most a few hundred, probably less than 100.

Not as much.  Look at Mobihand.com, they have a good collection, one place to look.

In addition, hedonedesign.com is one of the coolest designers of theme around
