BlackBerry Smartphones Windows Live Messenger 2.5 does not connect on Rogers Curve 8900

The old version of WLM worked perfectly for me.  A couple of days, I have updated to the new version of WLM OTA.  The installation seemed to go very well, and the app loads properly, but whenever I try to connect I just saw 'connection' with the spinning icons command prompt, and then I get "connection error (65): problem receiving data from the server.

There is an entry on this forum for this error on a 8320 and it says that the problem is the APN setting.  I had the same parameter APN (internet.com) on this BB for quite some time and it has always worked with the old version of WLM.  I tried to change the APN with no luck, and I fired both service books.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

So since no one had no response, I went ahead and solved this problem myself:

(1) removed Windows Live Messenger device (Options-> advanced-> Applications)

(2) removed WLM all the partners service books (Options-> advanced-> service book Options)

(3) device reloaded

(4) reinstalled WLM

(5) broadcast service books to the device of the site Web of BIS of suppliers

Everything worked fine after that.

I want to thank myself to understand it.  See you soon.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

You have to buy a package of data of the provider network. Access Wi - Fi only is not enough.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Windows Live Messenger to stopped working

Hello! I know this isn't really new, but I'm posting this just in case I do something wrong, or if my case can point to the root of the problem in a more narrow sense.

Ive been using WLM since ive got my blackberry (more than 6 months) and I lost access for a week.

My use of WLM is mainly on a computer running Windows XP (using WLM) and on my blackberry (using WLM)

I lost the ability to receive messages while I was having intermittent connectivity inside a mall (except the app only has not disconnect) I send and had to receive a message during this period (someone I messaged via facebook chat and told me about this) and never received these messages.

I could always send files. simply not receive messages.

Among the solutions, I tried (even several times for certain solutions):

    1. battery pull
    2. Uninstall wlm, rebooted, reinstalled (using app world then also tried using OTA)
    3. used another account
    4. Service books - see the hrt-register now (for the 3 books of WLM service)
    5. reregisters again and deleted service books
    6. using im +, IMO, nimbuzz does not have the same problem

even the current update was not working.

anything short of reinstalling the entire operating system from scratch.

ideas please let me know (or at least the comforting thought that you have isolated which continues with those of us lose access to MSN)

    Hey all,.

I received a confirmation message of our engineering department saying that this problem is now sorted... To confirm, I tested it with my bb device & by sending a message to the PC... now, the question seems corrected...

Please let me know if your problems are rectified or not... Thank you

  • Camerademo does not work on the curve 8900

I tried to integrate a camera in an application that runs only on the bold 9000 and 8900 curves.  My code based on this sequel to the KB article works absolutely fine on the "BOLD".

How - to take a snapshot using the built-in camera to a BlackBerry smartphone
    Article number: DB-00667
    http://www.BlackBerry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe/fetch/2000/348583/800332/1089414/How_To...

However, it does not work on the Curve 8900.  Initially I had a problem with the viewfinder display only part of the image and then corrupt display, so I upgraded the operating system to v4.6.1.133 (the most recent available for Vodafone UK) and now the viewfinder does not at all appear.

To make sure it wasn't just my request, I loaded camerademo, compiled with JDE 4.6.1 and signed, on the device.  Still, the field of the viewfinder is not displayed.  When I click on the 'Take Photo' button, I get a null pointer exception, because the bytes (_raw) on the screen of createImageScreen are null.

camerademo works fine on the Simulator, but Interestingly on the Simulator, the maximum camera resolution is 1660 * 1200, where, as the real device is 2 K * 1. 5 k.

So why camerademo does not work?  If I can fix it, I think I can fix my application.

Edit to set "Write me" every person must answer.

This problem is now solved with an upgrade to OS 4.6.1.199, 4.6.1.133 form.

Even with this level, the screen of the camerademo CameraDemo, which contains the "viewfinder" needs to be changed so that no other fields are used - this includes the removal of the setTtitle.  With this fact, ButtonField is not added, so the fieldChanged() event is not raised, another way of taking the photo should be used.  In addition, I also changed the scale factor in the ImageScreen to 8 from 7, to make the thumbnail a bit smaller.

He'll find a network.  It doesn't let me access the network files.  It does not connect to the internet, but it's getting an IP address.  DNS does not, even if it has the IP of the router listed as a DNS server.

I disabled IPv6 based on other peoples problems, but it doesn't seem to help.  I tried to update the driver for the CARD, but it doesn't seem to help.   I'll try update driver video, to see if it helped, but the pilot was not available on the main site (Radeon 5470) and I don't know how it would be useful anyway.

Diagnose Windows said try restarting the router, which I did, but it did not help.  If I skip this step, said diagnosis "the default gateway is not available."

There is also a tunnel of the card, even after disabling IPv6.  I don't know if this is normal or not.

    Any help would be appreciated.

What router are you using? You can turn off proxy DNS? If this is not
possible, you should be able to get the IP addresses of the DNS servers of your ISP
and configure those statically. The use of routers IP means that the router is
Proxy DNS. Looks like proxy DNS does not work.
