  Welcome to the forums

  There could be a hidden message somewhere in your e-mail folders. In the message list, press the menu/blackberry and 'display the folder '. Go through the files and one of them may have a hidden message. If this does not work, try a battery Pull:
  1. remove the battery while the phone is turned on
  2. wait a few seconds before inserting it again
  3. wait for the long end of the boot process (takes a few minutes usually)

  This clears most of the software problems that occur on the BlackBerry from time to time. You can also use Quickpull, a free application that simulates a battery pull without removing the battery: http://software.crackberry.com/product.asp?id=27660
  A battery pull gets lost when using the applications memory and clears minor software errors that creep over time. The blackberry is running an operating system just like your PC is running windows and battery pull is the equivalent of a reboot / restart your computer.

  I just upgraded from the BB Pearl to curve... am about to make all upwards... I was wondering if there is anyway that I can set up e-mail on request? I don't want all my Inbox from my PC sent to the BB... only if necessary. I could understand this (?) option on the Pearl. Is there a way?

  You can have in creating the e-mail filter in your Yahoo ID account or BIS. Sync blackBerry only the Inbox. Now, if your rule that your emails to request game on lands in yahoo Inbox while those is sent to your device. Another way is to create account BIS, the web filter.   To your provider BIS login page, change your configuration of email account Yahoo and at the bottom of this page, you will see a box to check:

  1) register HRT

  • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

  2) Remove and return Service books

  • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
  • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
  • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
  • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

  3) restart

  • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
  • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  • Peripheral BB10. Hold the top button until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the unit to be completely stopped (for example, nothing appears on the screen, no lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red light. Wait through the entire boot process. IF this fails, you can try the method of battery-pull above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
  • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.
