BlackBerry software how full is a full backup?

Finally, I will send my Dev Alpha return and I want to back up all data on the device to restore it once I get my THE Z10, but now I wonder how full a full backup with BB Link is actually. BlackBerry links speaks only of Application data, media and settings, this includes contacts and text messages? I know that the micro-sim card can store messages and contacts, but how can I be sure that they are on the sim card and how can I save them with link BlackBerry (just to be sure)?

I got my THE Z10 now, and I can confirm that after loggingin with my BB ID all my contacht have been synchronized live, no backup necessary! For other stuff, you obviously still need to restore the backup.

  • BlackBerry software how to get RAR file bbb

    Hello

I have (very foolishly, I might add) has changed the file format of a backup file for my Passport of Blackberry from bbb to rar.

Now I can't seem to find a way to return to bbb, BB link is unable to recognize my backup.

Is it possible to fix this?

Hello and welcome to the community!

How, exactly, did you change the actual file format?

Or did you just change the bbb to rar file extension? If so, then the actual file format is unchanged, but the software LINK indeed would need to see it with a bbb file extension in order to make it work.

Please specify the details, on the surface, it seems like it should be a very easy solution... just change the file extension to bbb, via some file manager app is it on any computer you use.

    Hello vgbaron,

Thank you for your question. When you have BlackBerry link open and your computer selected, you can see the music, images and videos, as well as the Documents listed. Click on one of them and you will be given a list of folders that are synchronized. On one of the folders, you can right-click and choose the options delete which will remove the folder appears.

    What is your operating system?

If you have been creating full backups, the backup only that you keep is the last.

  • How do I partition my drive so I can create a full backup of my computer?

My hard drive with windows 7 appears in disk management with 3 partitions. One is the system partition labeled C: healthy (System, boot, pagefile, Active, Crash Dump, primary Partition) and the other 2 say-healthy (recovery Partition) 1.46 GB and healthy (Primary Partition) 6.36 GB. The other 2 are shown as 100% free. Can I remove these or at least the other primary partition so I can use the space? I want to create a partition where I can make a full backup of my computer so I can restore to the current state.  Any help on how to do this? I'm not at all familiar with the help of disk management. I guess I can delete the system partition, and then the 6.36 GB will be automatically added to the first primary partition, or it would show as unallocated, then I have to shrink the first primary partition and merge sort the free space of the 2 partitions to create 1 partition backup. But I have never done this so I don't know exactly what to do.

I also have an external hard drive 2 TB USB with 1 primary partition. I would like to back up on that as well (I guess I should also create a separate partition for this.). Ideally, I would like to have my computer Setup, so when it starts up I have the ability to restore. And I guess just that this would require backup on a separate partition.

I have two Windows 7 with the backup and restoration of facilities as well as Acronis True Image Home 2011.

    Any advice much appreciated

    Thanks, Mike

Save your files or your partitions in a free partition on the internal drive is a waste of time. Doing so offers no protection against the most common such as woes

    • Flight
    • Water damage or fire
    • Physical damage (dropping out of the machine)
    • Hard drive crash
    • File system corruption (e.g. damaged partition table)
    • User error (for example of formatted the wrong partition)

A decent backup plan is based on the backup media being kept well away from the PC for most of the time.

Note also that expand them or shrink partitions is equivalent to open heart surgery. Make sure you have your important stuff saved beforehand. You should also check if the saved controls is actually readable.

Related to Internet explorer, you can download Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org or Chrome from http://www.google.com/chrome and use them as alternatives.

Regarding backups, I suggest avoid you the Windows backup program and you get a good commercial backup program. This forum meets for a windows problem reports. I know that I was very impressed when I tried it. Three I'm familiar with and like Norton Ghost (which I use for 8 years no 1 problem), Easeus Todo Backup free, you can download it on http://www.todo-backup.com/products/home/free-backup-software.htm and Memeo, which has 30 day free trial and you can buy it for $29.99 - you can download it from http://memeo.com . You can get Ghost for almost nothing (like me), if you look at the sales.
The March 2012 issue of PC World is very high on Easeus FREE program, and I was recently tested in a variety of configurations and must say that I am very impressed.  As Ghost will support up to a network drive and it will create a bootable CD for when your PC does not start.  See commentary to PC World to

Some of them are free (the last time I checked there over 300), some have free trials (more), and some are buying only (more than 200).

External hard drives are the best for backup. You can get a 500 GB one for $70 and a 1.5 to one for about $90. You can also buy a flash drive 16 GB for as little as $10. It is the best insurance you can buy ever!

Nik Software Collection full CRASH to install on 64 bit, CS6 Adobe Master Windows 8. How to fix?

I have disabled UAC, run the installer as administrator, but it hangs at the end of the installation.
    Solutions?
I tried to install with all the options in compatibility mode, but failed.

Called Adobe right now by phone and they responded that they do not know the problem and what you can do noting, theyr advises to contact Nik Software to solve the problem.
Unfortunately, Nik Software do not communicate or respond to my requests!
In fact, I don't know where is the problem between Microsoft - Adobe - Nik Software.
Someone knows the solution to install?

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft community.

From the description of the problem, you are not able to install Nik Software. I'll be happy to help you.

What version of Nik software you are trying to install?

The site says Nik Software is only compatible with Windows XP (outside HDR Efex Pro 2), Windows Vista and Windows 7. Could have tried compatibility mode, but you do need additional expenses necessary for execution of the program.
