BlackBerry Torch 9800 Blackberry Smartphones - 0mep tent... Locked forever?

Heres basically history:

I had a contract with T-Mobile for £30 a month on a "BOLD", sold as I wanted a BB updated and bought a flashlight. The torch has been locked to 02. I have baught in intending to release my SIM card on the contract. I looked online for unlocking services and I came across iunlockblackberry.com. It seemed legitimate so I baught an unlock code. After several attempts to unlock, I have 0 left. I didn't realize that it would be blocked perminately. Is there anyway that I can again unlock attempts of the MEP? Help, please!

After ten attempts have been used, you must get the RIM to unlock the device.

There are two lanes and two only, to achieve this.

  • IF your unit is under warranty, contact your technical support service provider. Tell them that you have this problem that needs to be remounted at the RIM customer service level. I'll warn that most of the technical support people carrier assume first and think that you are talking about security of the release device, and you have to convince them of the contrary and explain clearly what you need.  THEY will not be able to help you because carriers themsevels cannot unlock a device that had the code MEP attempts exhaustion and should (and you have to ask) to have the case escalated to a medium technical level RIM.
  • If your camera is out of warranty, the direct contact of the RIM. See the information to reach us from the Web site: http://ca.blackberry.com/contact/ the options that you want to select to talk to the BlackBerry customer service are 3 (for requests of information, orders, billing, e - RMA etc.) then 5 (e - RMA and warranty).

Torch 9800, network provider, O2 UK.

Even if my BlackBerry with O2 service is connected and works as usual, I'm totally without enamel on my Torch 9800. I've owned the Torch 9800 since March. Everything has been fine until last week when I changed the password on one of the 3 email accounts I had set up on my device.  This change of password remains one of the accounts cannot send or receive mail and is also brings me to discover I couldn't enter e-mail address set up on my device or via my site of network providers ( www.o2email.co.uk ).

I spent hours on the phone with O2 debate this issue. The usual controls and procedures have been carried out, battery pulls, checking settings, etc. and service books were removed and returned several times. These actions have not solved the problem but rather leads to the loss of my other accounts Unit 2 e-mail which work properly but have now disappeared in the air. After trying all possible solutions with O2 I come here looking for an answer.

When I visit my mail service BlackBerry network providers trying to create an account using my PIN etc, I absolutely do a pop up box with the message error "your account is not accessed through an HTML browser. Please use your devive to access BlackBerry Internet Service "!  The result is the same, that I connect from my camera on 3 G or wireless, or from a PC (tried several browsers).

On my camera, when I click the icon email accounts in the menu setup that nothing happens, no answer at all. I tried several times and there is no way to configure or change e-mail accounts. I am without mail on my device and growing more and more short of patience.

Now, I'm hoping someone here can give me some advice on how to solve this problem. What is a BlackBerry without e-mail capabilities? I see electronic research set up on the Torch 9800 that I'm not alone here so if someone to BlackBerry is to listen to the problems? If it's a matter of Torch 9800 so I am sure that you will do everything you can to solve this problem, but waiting to help by offering a solution to the problems mentioned.

    Thank you

    Welcome to the forums, bs342!

Well, since you have searched the forums, you're probably aware that the problem you are reporting is unfortunately a common these days.  The good news is that RIM is certainly aware and are working on the problem.

First of all, we will try something on your computer.  What browser do you use?  Your problem, it could well be as simple as to clear the cache of your browser, then closing and reopening the browser for the website to try again.

If this does not work, try this:

In the browser of your device, select mobile.blackberry.com. Select the country of your choice, then click Communicate > Email. Scroll to other personal e-mails and click on join now, then start the configuration of e-mail. You should be able to integrate your e-mail accounts in this way until RIM has solved this problem.

Please let us know how it goes!

  • BlackBerry Torch 9800 of Smartphones 'mouse '.

Any known for the Torch 9800 'mouse' that is not responding @ all?

    Hello

I think you can try two things: the soft reboot, and if it does not, the hard reboot. Don't worry, you can not lose data with these two reboots.

    Soft reboot:
    1) struck the following three keys at the same time:
    -Alt
    -Right shift
    -Remove
    (2) wait 2 minutes for the Blackberry to wake up.

    Hard reboot:
    (1) your BlackBerry smart phone is on
    (2) remove the battery and wait a minute
    (3) replace the battery
    (4) wait 5 minutes for the device to wake up.

Please tell us if it works for you.

  • My phone blackBerry Smartphones has a lock of business or something?

I bought a Blackberry 8830 we HAVE on ebay and they can't push the books of service to me because of some lock on the phone that a company put on? Is there a way THAT RIM can help me with this so I can use the Internet and e-mail and other applications on my phone?

Ouch... the pain of buying used. Here is a KB with some information for you:

KB05099 Steps to take before selling it, or after buying a used BlackBerry smartphone

Unfortunately, in your case, is that part of it... you need to remove the it policy which is latent on the device. Here are some procedures that may (or may not) work:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/Rim/Board/message?message.UID=269661#U269661

    http://www.BlackBerryFAQ.com/index.php/How_do_I_remove_the_IT_Policy_on_my_BlackBerry%3F

In all cases - wait that your BB will liquidate as fees and clean. This means that if you ever put anything on it, it will be lost.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

  • Screen of blackBerry Smartphones does not lock

After pressing the locking button of the screen on the top of the torch, the screen turns off for 3-4 seconds and turns on automatically. the keyboard does not lock with this lock button and the screen stays on continuously, even if the backlight dim option is set to 20 seconds.

Would amp, you reboot and see if it works correctly?

Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most defects and errors of operating system, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Heellpp! Locking my Blackberry

Hello, I'm new to BlackBerry, and I want to know how to password lock my Blackberry Torch. I put a password, but I assumed that it did not close the phone when I pressed the lock button on the top of the BlackBerry. But, I have to select "Password lock" in the menu and then it is locked.

Is there anyway that I can make sure it locks when I press the botton of locking on top, instead of having to select it from the menu. Pleassee... I love this phone and I want everything to be perfect!

    Helpp!

Hello and welcome to the community!

Nope - are you witnesses is WAD - working as designed. There should be a "Password Lock" screen icon who may be more quick than using the menu (depending on where you have this icon, of course).

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphone 8330 keyboard lock

    Hello

I have a Curve 8330.  During the holidays, I received a phone call, when I tried to answer the BB would have not answered any of the keys.  It seems to be completely locked, none of the function keys, the phone or trackball keys no matter what.  As I mentioned, it comes to start it for a while where he had been inactive for a few days, as I tried to answer an incoming call, it was locked.

Is there a software fix that can be done to solve this problem, or is this a hardware problem?

Also, if I go back, is there a way to wipe the 8330 with on being able to access the Options menu or enter any input from the keyboard or the track ball?

    Thanks in advance!

    Real

First try just a simple reboot:

With the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

If the problem persists, post it here, please.

  • BlackBerry smartphones HELP! Locked out!

So this is my first Blackberry - I have always been a user of Palm (Boo to the PALM).  I was set up on my new curve and be conditioned as I was in the past with my Palm Treo - I put in place a lock code on my curve.

The first time that it is locked, I typed my password, and it was beautiful.  The second time - I swear I typed the code lock correctly, but he says that it is incorrect.  I know that I'm not hitting, but he repeats to me the password is wrong and now I'm down to the last test. I don't want my last try, if it will erase all my info.

When I entered the password initially - I used a series of 4 numbers (I was not focused on the numbers and letters. I tried these 4 keys with and without the num lock on - and he says always incorrect.

What can I do?  I even have not been able to back up my contacts again and can't bear the thought of losing!

Thanks for the reply d_fisher.  I was in a panic.  What I was reading was preparing to me to have all my information deleted.  I took your advice on my last attempt, I typed in the key sequence and left Cape Town & the off num - and it worked.  Tonight was my lucky night I guess

  • Parameter "detectable" BlackBerry Smartphones Bluetooth is locked on the 'NO '.

I'm able to find bluetooth with my Blackberry 8830 devices, but the "discoverable" setting is locked and is set to 'NO' as well so that the bluetooth device cannot find the Blackberry.  How to unlock this "discoverable" setting in the options of bluetooth?

They looked at your device? Do you know if they have any policies that apply to BlackBerry - password requirements, security timeout is defined as a certain limit?

If they have not all can then send an empty policy to your phone and it should be ok. If you can't change it, so it's something they have to take care of

Are you annoyed by the touchscreen BlackBerry Storm (tm) remains active during a call? Frustrated with accidental screen presses activating programs while you talk?
CellAvant has the answer... TalkLock. This free utility snaps automatically a few seconds after a call is connected and intercept the actions of touchscreen. This prevents presses to launch programs or functions call screen while you talk.
When the call ends for any reason, TalkLock releases control of the screen until your next call. You can also disable the lock and back to your normal phone at any time behavior by sliding your finger across the screen from left to right.
    Features include:

    • Runs automatically after installation and each restart
    • Automatically after that phone calls are connected
    • Automatically hides when phone calls are completed
    • Manual unlocking with function "slide to unlock".
    • Menu item to re - engage the lock after unlock
    • Customizable background image (uses /store/home/user/TalkLock-Background.png if it exists)

I had to post the article for this utility!  Its free, can't beat THAT...

    Visit http://www.cellavant.com/TalkLock/Default.aspx to download...

Hope this helps you and take a deep breath... RIM will take measures for continuew to improve your user experience!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB Bold locked + 10 times does not work

I accidentally reset my password and have tried to submit 10 such times than recommended.  I did this and then removed battery.  Still in lockout.  Help please.

    SVL

You ask about the normal device password lock?

Just type random password characters ten times... after the fifth or ninth attempt, you will be prompted to type the word "blackberry" so that you can see the password as you type and before the tenth incorrect test, you will be notified that the device will wipe itself all the data.

    Have you seen this?

I also can't find where to change the message tones as his silence every time that the phone turns off... its all strange away for updates.

    1. reboot the machine and see if you still have the problem of keyboard:

With the BlackBerry powereddevice, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this way is prescirbed for most the gltiches and operating system errors, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

    2. change your ringtones and alerts by editing your profile. Find profile icon, press the key, scroll to ring tones/alerts
