BlackBerry Z10 and thus, the trouble begins... bold 9900 backup restore to z10?

Very happy that my z10 has arrived!

The z10 uses the link instead of office.  I supported my bold 9900 before this happened.  How can I get that restored the z10, so I can get my contacts etc.?

Of course, pre-order the tech is like... Oh no problem, simply switch your sim card & it will be there, but... It is not so.

I had to call tech support & we are working on that.

You can try if you have the "BOLD" phone... Download the Blackberry link (instead of the desktop computer)... to open the link, "BOLD", plug in bold. It should ask you to transfer data.  that & it invites to plug your z10 & then begins the transfer of data.

I warn you this right now, mine is stuck at transfer 3.4 MB of 383.8 MB is yet to see if this work.  I have a slow computer, so I don't know if it's just the computer it slows down or is it really stuck.

  • BB blackBerry Smartphones and now the BBM upgrade does not

I've upgraded to the new version of BB (I think version 5?) two days ago.  Yesterday, I could not find my BBM icon.  At out the battery, etc... Didn't come back (even if it was listed in the application list).  I reinstalled via the BB App World and then had my contacts through backup.  Today, it is not letting me send BBM and if someone sends me a BBM they get an X.  Everything else seems to work very well (Im' getting emails, etc...).  I also did a soft reset (output battery) - nothing has changed.

Anyone encountered this problem and know how to solve? Thank you.

With the BlackBerry turned on, disconnect the battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

If it still does not work:.

On your BlackBerry device, go to:

    1. options > advanced > host Routing Table > Menu > register.

2 send your service from your carrier's BIS site books:
    Of your handheld: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402

Go to the Personal Email Set Up icon and sign. Then under help!, select Service books and select send service books.

    Your desktop PC: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830
North American carriers - scroll down to select your carrier
Carriers worldwide - find your operator from the list

    3. with the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart. This restart, even if you have already done this, is often necessary to install the service books.

  • Directory (PICTURES) of drive C appears in the tree view of the user, above [photos] under [music], while the trouble begins...

I copy the directory (IMAGES) into a temporary directory on the C: drive. Now, I think it's safe to remove the directory in the user tree. And all three deletion of directories (PHOTOS), but not the directory of the user [photos]. As it was in the user tree, same ZAR is unable to recover it. One of the many reasons that I don't keep the files in the user tree [that is to say, My Documents, pictures, ect]. This is the second time that this has happened. The first time I copied the files to a removable disk and removed. But both the directory in the user tree and the C: drive removed at the SAME TIME. Someone at - it a possible reason as to what is the cause?

It seems that now, your system is as you like (just a folder images - with a subdirectory inside).  Duplicate photo library disappeared.  If you save an image, it records in the images directory and you can access and open it?  If so, it seems that the problem you have now recovers lost photos that happened when you deleted the folder (and it deleted them both at the same time).

    RECOVER YOUR LOST DATA:

If you have Vista Business, Vista Ultimate or Vista Enterprise, you can be lucky.  They have so-called saves shadow copies, which are deleted or modified files that can be recovered in case changes/deletions made by mistake.  http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/Windows-Vista/features/shadow-copy.aspx more information about how to use this feature to: http://blogs.techrepublic.com.com/howdoi/?p=145.

If you have Vista Basic or Premium of Vista, shadow copies is not available; However, there is an alternative that is free and the shadow copies feature called Shadow Explorer. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/recover-files-with-shadow-copies-on-any-version-of-windows-vista/.  Although it will not help you this time, it could very well save you in case this happens again.

In case this does not work (not all files are available through shadow - it occurs periodically), here are some additional free recovery programs that might help:

    http://techpaul.WordPress.com/2008/06/23/how-to-recover-your-lost-files/

The files are not really deleted until they are crushed (although they are no longer available through conventional methods).  If you decide to try these recovery programs, you should stop using your drive hard immediately in order not to replace the data that you are trying to recover.  He slave on another PC and launch the recovery of this PC.  Even now you have definitely lost some of them if you use the same PC.  If you can not do this (slave on another PC), you run the risk of overwriting the data with every action you do on the PC (but you may still be able to recover some or most or even all files - it's a matter of luck).

Only you can decide if the data is important enough to take the PC to an expert data recovery to recover files (they will have better programs and hardware to do that none of us do, and I've provided above).  Do NOT go to the Geek Squad or one of these centers of store-, they generally don't know what they are doing - it take for expert data recovery.  It will cost you a little and they generally offer no guarantees.  The decision is yours.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

  • BlackBerry BB passport do not import emails using the Devicde of Bold 9900 switch

I tried using the switch of the device several times to transfer all the data from BB9900 for the new Passport SE

I created all the e-mail accounts & passwords on the Passport exactly the same as on BB9900

I upgraded to the latest version of the software on Passport SE

I followed the instructions for the control unit switch, it makes his work and said everything is done.

All I get on the passport of BB is like my contacts, notes, texts, calendar etc.

What I don't understand is all my emails stored on BB9900

I tried to go back and manually restore from the backup file created during the switch of the device, when I click on restore to custom, there is no option to import e-mails here at all.

One thing that is strange, in the hub when I click on it to "mark prior reading", he tells me to 1200 + emails will be marked as read so it seems that the old emails are there (I have almost as many new emails on the Passport), but they are not displayed.

Bottom line, how to import the EMAILS ONLY from a device BB7 to Passport?

    JBPassport wrote:

Or is it just BB10 o/s does not allow for email message storage at all?

    Correct ^^.

Step 1 is to press the menu button on your phone on your home screen and select Show all or show all, according to what is available. If that solves your problem, you are welcome. If this isn't the case, read on.

Step 2 is to reload your OS. To do this, connect your phone to your PC and open BlackBerry Desktop Software. Once your phone has been adopted by the software, click on device at the top, then click on save and make a backup. Once the backup is complete, click once more on device but this time, click on restore and restore the backup that you made. This will restore your BBM your homescreen icon.

Let us know if that helps you.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not switch on my bold 9900

    Hello..

last day I kept my bold 9900 for reload and when I came back, it shows a black screen with a battery symbol. I tried every possible way to turn it on. tried to update to os using desktop and web software with or without battery. When she reached the reconnection to the jvm, it displays an error saying: failed to connect the device. tried using jl cmder, but it does not connect the device too saying cannot open the port.

Okay... but in order to solve this and do what, whether you still need a fully charged battery. How to get yours... but you have to do, and you can do when trying to load in the BB.

    (2) went to this peripheral os download page. but the operating system specific carrier. my phone is not carrier specific, as I bought it from the RIM. My carrier is Asia-Pacific - AUNTIE DOCOMO gsm, but they do not have the os 9900 "BOLD".

All operating systems are released by the carriers. Model number any carrier what OS can be used in any device, as long as it's for the exact same. Indeed, it is that deletion of the SELLER. XML files doesn't work - causes Setup to bypass validation the carrier of the source of the operating system against the carrier allocated to the device.

Even if you bought directly from BlackBerry, it will still be originally were for a specific carrier. All BBs have a unchanging VendorID value, which indicates the carrier for which the device was built into their firmware. Even a BB unlocked, which can then be used on any compatible media, retains this original VendorID. And it is in fact only VendorID which is checked against the SELLER. XML files in the operating system package - removing the SELLER. XML files allows to bypass this check, allowing you to use any carriers OS package.

So where can I download 9900 os directly on my desktop software?

Now that you understand the process, you know how to proceed. Choose from companies that take charge of your model, the operating system package you want.

  • Windows will start, the screen starts flashing and then the screen say Logging Off, then restore the screen to the CTRL ALT DEL all other functions will not work.

Start my computer, it will default to the CTRL ALT DEL screen.  After graduating in the login screen I enter the password.  Windows will start and then the screen starts flashing and the screen say Logging Off, then restore the screen to the CTRL ALT DEL I can boot into safe mode.  All other functions will not work.

    Thank you

I guess you wanted to ask how to solve the problem. If then all in Safe Mode you can use system restore to set up Windows to a point when the problem did not exist.

  • On signature and to get on the homepage, it work fine. Then the trouble begins. If I then access the site via search, it "hangs" spinning.

And spinning.  I even tried to escape by pressing Ctrl/alt/delete but, once again no joy. Even when it does and I click on shutdown, reboot or disconnect all through the movements in this way, closing down never really stops. I find myself pressing the power button to get out of all this. (it's the only alternative, and I know that not recommended)  Any help will be appreciated, but I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination!

Healed! It was the "cache" which was at the origin of the problem, being more complete. Empty - and everything started working normally.  How I discovered that was pure coincidence as outside boot in safe mode and "messing around" with the help of a dialog box (Microsoft), type "cache" then presented with options, leading me to another dialog box. On that, I clicked on "Empty" and, hey presto, result!              In a Word, then, empty the cache solved my problem.                   (My apologies for what is very technical but I only know the basics and would never do anything that asked me to 'clear', if you are using a non-Microsoft program.)           Sorry to waste your time.

  • Detection of spyware to blackBerry Smartphones and reinstalling the software

If you know any good spyware detection software, to check if my blackberry is infected, please let me know.

I'm new to blackberry and want to make sure that my employer has not installed spyware on my device. From my reading, you can look for signs such as spikes in data transfers when you are not using the phone, this sorta thing. I want to be absolutely positive there is no spy software installed, and so what I think, is that in a week or two, I would like to do a re-installation of the blackberry OS system software. I'm on a mac, and I know that I can pick up the phone an AT & T store and they could do the reinstall for me.

If I had to, I would also reinstall all the applications I downloaded? And below this method, any spyware detection software that I could use to avoid having to take these measures? Thank you.
