No, but you can "attach" via USB and browse the internet on your pc.

WiFi is the way to go.

The default router on the Z10 for internet tethering or a configuration point hot seems to be 192.168.0.1 and the IP address it assigns my laptop when I connect to it is within this range of IP addresses... The question I have is when I connect to a VPN service where the internal IP addresses used are also on the 192.168.0.x subnet.

Is it possible for me to change the IP rangde the Z10 used when it assigns IP addresses to client connections?

  • BlackBerry Z10 mobile internet tethering with Z10 and my laptop?

How can I use my Z10 as modem wireless for my laptop. The feature is part of the BB desktop but I do not see the link for BB.

    Thanks Brian

You can activate the hotspot and connect your PC wireless:

HotSpot/connections network/configuration (note that WIFI will go off when your enable hotspot)

    (I tried yesterday, painless)

    OR

Select tehering, then use a USB connection or bluetooth:

    connections/network/modem Setup

(used only with my Playbook tethered bluetooth)

Some vendors may require for hot spot or tethering so I guess that some suppliers may have this disabled in their locked phones.

  • How can I connect my BlackBerry smart phone to internet via bluetooth on my laptop connection?

I have connected my BlackBerry smart phone to my laptop via a Bluetooth successfully, but when I tried to connect to the internet, here's a message appears: your device cannot automatically connect to the internet, you want to enter user name and number manually?

So, how can I connect my BlackBerry smart phone to the internet via a bluetooth connection?
    Thank you
    Michael

    Hi Michael,

You must create a connection switched to solve the problem:

    Please follow the steps:

    a. click on the blue Windows logo at the bottom of the screen, then click on 'control panel '.

    b. double-click on "Network and sharing Center." If you don't see this icon, click on "Classic view" in Windows Vista. In Windows 7, click on the "view by:" drop-down menu and select 'small icons '.

    c. click on "Set up a connection or network" on the left side of the window. Select "Set up a dial-up connection" and then click "next".

    d. type the phone number of your Internet Service provider in the box "Dial-up phone number." Type the number exactly as you need to dial it in your area - include the area code if required by your telephone company.

Enter your user name and password. The ISP gives you this information when you create your account. Check the box "Remember this password" to avoid having to enter the password each time you use the connection.

    f. type a name in the box 'Connection name' which will help you to remember which connection it is.

    g. check the box "Allow other people to use this connection" to make the connection available to all users on your computer.

    h. click the 'Connect' button to connect to the Internet service provider and save the connection. You can connect to it in the future by clicking on the logo Windows at the bottom of the screen, then "Connect To."

    For more ihelp:

Contact the wireless service provider for more information on how to connect to the internet using mobile phone on PC.

    I hope this helps.

  • No internet via ethernet on my Satellite C660-1LCD

Hi, I have a Toshiba Satellite C660-1LCD running windows 7. I have a router Thomson TG784 that connect to the internet via ADSL you.

My problem is that the PC connects to the internet through the router using WiFi, but not through the cable.
I checked that the cable works and connection to the Internet on another PC, so there is something special in the connection between the Toshiba and the router.

I went back to factory setting on the Tosh and replaced network adapters.
I also had the balance sheet to support PC, so I don't think it's the material.

When I connect to the router, the connection of the material is there.
When I ping a website, then I get a time out and a message that the computer is not possible to connect to the DHCP server.

I also checked the setting on the router has recommended to the operator.

Is there a setting I should do that I'm missing?

    Many thanks in advance,
    Anders

Have you checked if IP address and other parameters in the TCP/IPv4 protocol are set to automatically assign

In control panel navigate to the network & sharing Center
Then on the left choose the change adapter settings
Now, right click on the Local LAN network connection and choose Properties.
Now you should be able to choose the TCP/IP protocol now, go to settings.
You will find the IP address, DNS, etc.

  • Lost blackBerry Z10 phone

    Magalie

Today, I have a bad day. I lost all the money this month (I'm a student), and the worst is that I lost my blackberry z10 . When I knew I lost it, I was very angry.although it is an old phone, I purchase form someone else, but with me, it's a treasure and a friend. I'm going to protect.blackberry.com, then replace 'Flag as stolen', because I want the thief have only a brick. but now I think that if the thief do not turn the data or does not connect with a wifi then sell it to another people. It is verry bad for them. They lose money from verry for a brick. (I live in vietnam, security is not high, I don't want to aggravate some for someone, but I don't want someone not know my data on my phone, I install 10.3.2, I don't know what happens to my data on my SD card, I want to, it can be earsed).
You can check what is happening with my data, as it can be not to connect to the internet.
    Thank you verry much!

    Oh sorry for your loss!

Your inserted SD card is not affected by Protect or whatever it is. To protect your card data SD Media you would have needed to have the encryption on the card.

    No, you can't.

  • Switching blackBerry Z10 devices

I have a new Blackberry Z10, and I want to transfer data/applications etc. of my old Z10.  The problem is when I try and switch them via Blackberry bind said OSs are incomplatible.

The OS on my old camera is SR - 10.2.1.2941 OS - 10.2.1.3175 and my new camera SR - 10.2.1.2102 OS - 10.2.1.2141.

I tried to update the software on both devices via Blackberry link and say that the device incorporates the latest version of the software.

I tried to make a backup on the old device and restore it on the new device.

I'd appreciate if anyone has any suggestions about how I can get the devices.

OS 10.2.1.3175 is no longer available for the Z10. You'll want to use the instructions in the link posted BillJ and instead of codes which post, use the post codes below to install 10.2.1.3247. I'll assume that you have a STL100-2 or - 3 and you can use the codes for the-2 or - 3.

  • BlackBerry Z10 impossible access contacts or messages and the non-existent hub

I got a Z10 now and during the installation I noticed that if I clicked on the "contacts" or "text messages'icons are not." I thought when I transferred all the data from my old divide that would correct itself, but it does not.

None of my contacts or forwarded messages, and I Redid the transfer twice. My call log was transferred, but all entries are number only, no names. And I can't seem to be able to add these numbers to my contacts. I can't even enter the contacts and enter all my previous Info manually.

I have no hub blackberry either and I asked the people who are in the same room to send me messages but I don't get them. I tried to reboot the device several times but nothing moves. I seem to be able to BBM surveys send, but not receive them.

Seems that the only thing I can do is to make and receive calls and use the internet browser.

Can any ideas on how I fix? I will go back to the store I had the phone of the future, but really looking for some information at this time if possible.

    Thank you.

    G

Hi G and welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums!

Have you made software updates on your BlackBerry Z10? If this is not the case, there may be one available. You can do the update through the BlackBerry Link with your device, or by going to settings > software updates on the device itself.

    Thank you.

  • BlackBerry Z10 recharge using Blackberry link

Hi, when I try to charge my Blackberry Z10 via Blackberry link it ask the password device that I go and she agrees and then it goes to the next screen initialization software update and it's been more than 30 minutes stuck that one screen on the PC and the green light is on, the device. I also want to ask if what he's going to fix my problem of battery because when it reaches 20% if it stops and I have to charge. Which will allow better, a security wipe and a refill using the link to Blackberry.

    Thanks in advance.

The other thing to try is remove the battery and leave for about 90 minutes. It may take one or two times to do.

If that still doesn't help not so you can try the wipe of security first, but you may need to replace the battery.
