    I have an old 7290 4.0.2.35 running on the platform 18.0.138 already sold by Vodafone Portugal, but now with its disconnected service.

    Nevertheless, I thought to update this BB, and this is where I need and would like help on the following 3 questions. Thus,.

    -As far as I understand, OS version top that I can update is 4.1.

    -From the BB site I have not found a link for Vodafone Portugal, nor on the Vodafone Portugal site a link to download anything (!) I downloaded v4.1.0.314 from Vodafone UK.

    Now,.

    1 is it true that v4.1 is the top of the page updated version of 7290?

    2. can I use v4.1.0.314?

    3. can I use this version, downloaded from Vodafone UK?

  • Problem of Smartphones with BlackBerry Presenter Torch blackBerry 9810

    I'm trying to set up my Torch 9810 to work with a BlackBerry Presenter.  According to presenter page ( www.blackberry.com/presenter/ ), the Torch 9810 is supported, but when I try to install the software on my phone I get a message that says that my phone is not supported.  (This happens regardless of whether if I try to install the software OTA or via BlackBerry Desktop).

    I don't know if the ' Torch 9810 is supported / Oops, no it is not "is just another example of the occasional schizophrenia of RIM, or if there is a problem with my phone.  (According to BlackBerry Desktop, it runs the latest version of the operating system 7.)

    Any help or constructive suggestion would be greatly appreciated.


  • BlackBerry 8320 of Smartphones Software install - does not recognize port

    Try to download a software to save a 8320. Installation is fine (I disable the antivirus and run the file as an administrator to avoid any problem). It goes very well through the installation. To start the wizard and then the device-centric application, the first screen is the portal through which the device connects to the computer. The drop down menu is black and her box 'find the portal' is faded and cannot be used.

    I tried several downloads and several portals, but nothing changes this screen.

    I'd appreciate any help and thanks in advance!

    In addition, make sure you use only the root USB ports... without hubs (sometimes the front-end ports are hubs... use a rear USB port). And don't forget to try to disable the USB power management in the configuration of your system (Device Manager).

    Check also on the incompatible software... it was reported that NTI Shadow Ninja & software can cause a conflict; Remove and reinstall the desktop software BB allows to install correctly.

    My apologies in advance if this is redundant - there is no way to be sure that if you have already seen and tried these. Also apologies if all are not currently available... RIM takes their monte and descends at will as they revise things.

    Only, we received our Playbook and think that it would be useful for presenting as well. Now, I know that this may be thethered with bluetooth directly to the projector and I know I can use a cable cheap but in the presenter? Can be used with the Playbook?

    Sorry, once again, but that's not really answering the question of is the playbook with the presenter.

    The last answer is NO, the playbook does not work with the Blackberry presenter. Seems the only way to connect to the presenter is to use the software which is currently only available for phones.

    But of course there are still some cables that you can connect to it or of course Bluetooth. But to ensure a cable-free environment, the answer would be no.

    I have the version 4.3.0.17 (12 November 2007) coming from Sprint with my Blackberry Curve, and I had intermittent problems of syncing Outlook are displayed everywhere in this forum.

    I see that there is a version 4.5 of the software on the Blackberry site as follows:

    I should also mention that Sprint can not help with this issue at all.

    The BlackBerry Desktop Manager software works for all BlackBerry devices. It is not specific to a carrier or another.

    What is happening with this? Is this version of the software to test? Is it for some carriers... If so, why they formularies changes affecting the model 8830?

    I work for Sprint me * (I work not this high upward so I can't credit bills) - but I know that many of us expect the software for various reasons... The documents go and HTML Email me...

    Any Suggestions or explanations...

    It would be a good idea to have the BB calendar as part of the Blackberry Desktop Manager software, then head of could be made on the PC and then synchronize with a BB or vice versa all.

    As what I suppose be a business strategy, RIM specifically does not provide a PIM/Organizer with their software. Rather, they provide guidance to PIMs different so that the user has the choice as to which PIM they prefer. See the matrix for which PIMs are supported by different versions of the RIM DTM software:

    BES is not required to synchronize a calendar with a BB. Indeed, you can synchronize with the tools available today, two-way calendar, contacts, email, etc. etc. etc.

    Manual device OS upgrade instructions:

    5. This step is not necessary unless there is a problem on the next steps. Use BBSAK from BBSAK.org and wipe the device (after doing a full backup), then after you get the 507 error (no OS installed) then proceed to step 6

    6 remove the internet connection for PC and reboot the PC.

    7. plug the BlackBerry and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file was in.

    Take advantage of the new operating system.

    If after all this then maybe you have a problem with your device and will need to contact the place of purchase if under warranty still.
