Blocked senders list gets deleted when closing outlook express

When I close the program OUTLOOK EXPRESS, the blocked senders list are cleared.  How can I make sure that it stays in place to stop the SPAM?

Hi Madashell_145,

·         What version of Outlook Express are you using?

Follow the steps below and check if it works.

It is stored in the registry and is probably corrupt. Open regedit.exe and delete this key:

1. click on start

2. in the search programs and files, type regedit

3. under programs, click on regedit.exe

4. in the registry editor, find the following registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\ {GUID} \Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express\5.0\Block shippers

where GUID is the long number indicating your identity. After regenerated list export this key so that you can restore it should it be damaged again.

I hope this information helps!

    Hello

Sometimes I get an error message when I close off Outlook Express version 6.0. It asks if I want to debug the program and also asks me if I want to send an error report to Microsoft. There is also a link to click if I want to see the details of the error.

Can anyone suggest what I need to do to stop these maessages as they qre quite annoying.

    Thank you

    Gerry

If this happens a lot, then go to file | Identities and setup a new identity.  This will give a new registry hive and OE message store and should minimize these errors.  You can then use file | Import to get the messages from the old identity.

OE has bugs that will never be solved.  Some of these bugs invoke mistakes you see.  So, it is endemic to the OE and you can't get rid of it, but you can minimize it by creating a new identity.  Also to compact your folders often (after saving) and keep records under a few hundred megabytes and will allow to reduce errors.

  • From the block senders list disappears when I exit outlook express...

    I use windows xp prof.

If the suggestion of Umesh does not help, make sure that you do not have an anti-spyware that prevents registry changes.  And also check interference antivirus (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3).  You can also go to the file. Identities and together a new identity and then see if the block senders list works in the new identity.  If Yes, you can use the file | Import | Messages to bring them from the old identity.

Why my blocked senders list in Outlook Express here all entries every time I shut down my computer?

The blocked senders registry key is damaged.

    1. close OE, then in Regedit, navigate to this key:

    | - HKEY_CURRENT_USER
    | - Identities
    |-{GUID}
    | - Software
    | - Microsoft
    | - Outlook Express
    |--------------------5.0

where GUID is the Global Unique identifier for your identity.

    2. under this key, you will find the following between subkeys
    others:

    | - Block senders
    |-----------------------Rules
    | - Signatures

Select the senders to block key and delete it. Publishers will be empty, but you can rebuild now.

  • I can't delete emails from outlook express

I can't delete emails from outlook express.  I press the button Delete and nothing happens.  Any suggestions?

Deleted items is probably damaged. On the off chance that you want messages to be saved in deleted items, (a garbage can), move them to a local folder, you create and then follow these steps.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, the files of user OE (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the DBX file for deleted items and delete it.  Another will be created automatically when you open OE.

    General precautions for Outlook Express:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

Information on the maximum size of the .dbx files that are used by Outlook Express:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/?kbid=903095

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the processors and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

  • How can I get my emails in Outlook Express on my Windows 7 PC?

    Outlook Express email

I recently changed computers because my old hard drive crashed.  Now I have Windows 7 and cannot access my emails that were in Outlook Express, because it is no longer available.  How can I get my emails in Outlook Express?  They are important!

You can get details on the import process in the Windows Live Mail here forum: www.windowslivehelp.com , but you need to find and save the old disk dbx files.  You can get an envelope to connect the drive to the new PC and copy the old dbx files, or you can have a tech company such as Best Buy do it for you.  They will be hidden so you must enable the display of hidden files and folders under control panel | Folder options | View and also uncheck the option there to hide the extensions of the types of known files so you can better distinguish the files.  Once you find them, copy them to a subdirectory of the Office of the Win7 machine and then check the properties of the files to ensure that they are not read-only.  Then you can import them into WLM, I hope, and if not, you can get a program to extract messages and then drag them into the folders of WLM.

    Hello

    1. is this problem limited to this user account?
    2. have you made changes on the computer recently?

    Method 1.
Let us first start the sfc scan and check if there are any file system corruption.
    a. to do this, click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right click Guest and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
    b. type the following command and press ENTER:
    sfc/scannow
The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

    Hello

    1. what version of Windows?

    2. what version of Internet Explorer? It is possible, but unlikely, that you are under IE9 (nine) and Outlook Express.

    3. are you sure that you are using Outlook Express, Outlook not?

    4. take a look at all the rules of messages (OE > tools > Message rules > Mail) to see if a message rule sends these messages to the deleted items folder.

An unknown error has occurred. Account: 'mail.homeloansokc.com', server: 'mail.homeloansokc.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, secure (SSL): no, error number: 0x800C0133 the previous message is the complete error message I get when trying to open Outlook Express.  I can send but cannot receive mail.  The box pop up you will receiver 1 of 68 messages but stops before it downloads all messages and displays the error message.

With OE closed, find the box of Inbox.dbx and delete it. Another will be created automatically when you open OE.
