  • Windows Defender - blocked startup programs

    Over the past two days, whenever I connect, windows defender appears and says it blocked a commissioning program. So I open windows defender and choose "show or remove blocked startup programs" I assume that the program that is blocked is showing on the screen. How can I remove the locked channel? Remove, disable and enable buttons are gray. I don't want to run it in case it is an infected file. The file is Digital Line Detection by Avanquest Software.

    Thank you.

    Here is some information about dlg.exe; http://www.processlibrary.com/directory/files/dlg.  Here's more information:http://forums.avanquestusa.com/aq/archive/index.php/t-4477.html.  As you can see, the creators of this program are known to have made Spyware in the past and that is probably why it is blocked.

    How did you get this program and why do you have this program?  It seems to me that it does not offer much that you can't with programs that cause fewer problems (if necessary at all).  I checked the site web avanquest and this program is not listed: http://www.avanquest.com/.  I also checked Phone Tools of BVRP (whose dlg.exe is supposed to be a part of):http://download.cnet.com/BVRP-Mobile-Phone-Tools/3000-2349_4-93370.html , but that seemed for mobile phones and brought him back to avanquest.  I could not find any information on the product (in addition, Tools of BVRP Phone does not list itself as compatible with Vista).

    If I were you, I would delete/uninstall this program.  It's not like you use (it is blocked) and you don't mention the functions you can perform you want to run, because he's not here.  Go to start / Control Panel / programs and features and see if you can find it under the names above, then right click on it and click on uninstall.

    If it does not appear, go to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx and run Autoruns and click all.  Search of dlg.exe or whatever it is, on one names program or product mentioned above, and when you find it uncheck the box to prevent it from start to start.  Check the entire list as there may be several entries.  When you're done, click OK and restart. Since it is no longer from the start, he should no longer need to be blocked, and I hope that will remove the message.  I would prefer if we could uninstall the program, but if it is not found, then we will have to be satisfied to prevent him from running.

    This will be the no Defender removes (except if it is uninstalled) and I can't explain why the buttons are grayed (are you logged on as administrator?).  But I think that the process described above may solve the problem.  If the message still appears, then I suggest you contact Support technique Avanquesthttp://kb.avanquestusa.com/display/4/search.aspx?tab=search and ask them how to remove it and why it causes so many problems.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Windows has blocked some programs

    I kept receiving a ball at startup so that windows has been blocking some programs, so I improved my administrator status and entered diasable all and now can't do anything.  Help, please!

    Restore point:

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/

    Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

    Read the above for a very good graph shows how backward more than 5 days in the System Restore Points by checking the correct box.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
    ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
  • Startup programs starts do not
    Hi all
    Just moved a few home PC to Windows 7 (an Ultimate and the other Home Premium) and have problems with startup programs won't start do not.
    The programs are all in MSCONFIG as start, but when I connect they do not.
    All users are administrators, but the only way of making start is via the Start Menu.
    When I start cautioned them it happens with implementing against do you want the following program make changes to your computer.
    Any way to make these programs run on startup?
    This happens if the startup programs require an elevation (run as administrator); in this case, Windows simply blocks them from running at startup. The solution is to create scheduled jobs for each of these programs (this need for altitude) and to launch at startup. See:
I currently use Microsoft Security essencials as my security software.
    If the program still appears, then you can try this steps.
    NOTE: BEFORE YOU TRY WE RECOMMEND TO TAKE TO THE TOP OF ALL YOUR DATA.
    1. reboot the appliance
    2. Press f8 and boot in safe mode with n/w
    3 run - > msconfig and try if still exists.
    4 restart the machine in normal mode
    5. run - > regedit-> and on top, select search and type the value false and search
    6. it will go to the location of the file, try to remove.
    7. for the next selection press f3, it will search the files again to do this until you remove the traces of the files.
    8. restart the unit and check
  • How to stop startup programs unnecessary popingup when I start my pc
    How to stop startup programs unnecessary upward poping when I start my pc
    How to stop startup programs unnecessary upward poping when I start my pc
    First of all, note that you should be in * all * the programs that start automatically, not only with those who are in the system tray. Not all the programs auto-start manifesting by an icon in the status bar.
    On each program, you don't want to automatically start, check its Options to see if she has the choice to not start (make sure that you actually choose to not run, not simply a "don't display the icon" option). Many can easily and better be arrested like that. If this does not work, run MSCONFIG from the start. Run the line and on the Startup tab, uncheck the programs that you do not want to automatically start.
    However, if I were you, I wouldn't do this just for the purpose of the minimum number of running programs. Despite what a lot of people tell you, you should be concerned, not with the way * a lot * of these programs you run, but * that *. Some of them can seriously affect the performance, but others have no effect on performance.
    Don't stop all programs to run willy-nilly. What you need to do is to determine what each program is that its value is for you and what the performance cost is running all the time. You can try searching the Internet and ask questions about the details here.
    Once you have this information, you can make a smart informed decision on what you want to keep and what you want to get rid of.
