  • 6520 HP scan the docs of color like B & W a MacBook - PDF & color scanned photo docs are fragmented

    I have a HP Photosmart 6520 all-in-one printer/scanner/copier... I use a MacBook Pro, which has Mountain Lion OSX 10.8.2. I've linked the 6520 wireless via a "n" wireless TP Link ADSL2 modem/router.

I scan a document of color for the MBP, using 6520 display panel, if I choose (in the settings) "Scan Type > Document (PDF)", the result is a PDF black & - not white. I would have thought that he would transmit the color scanner. It never occurred to ask me about it when I bought the camera.

If, on the contrary, for the same color paper, I select "Scan Type > Photo (JPEG)" the result is more "fragmented".jpeg files, each showing only a small element of the scanned rather than see the page as a feature complete in a single file (but they come out in color!).

I'm something wrong or missing something? Is B & W PDF standard? How can I force a color document can be completely copied into a .jpeg file? Once more, any advice will be accepted with gratitude.

  • 7520 photosmart all-in-in-one: blocks of color missing and streaked on diagnosis

    Hello

My printer is no longer printing, currently indicating that there is a "printer failure". No other code. I ran through all the steps of troubleshooting online, but still it does not work. I ran a diagnostic print quality and the black 'block' is missing and the "block" photo is ridged. The cartridges are new and clean. There is no "clean printhead" option in the menu on the printer display. Only "cartridges clean', which I finished. The cartridges have been checked and it the orange tab is not on and are deep-set.

The printer has been enabled or disabled. The problem still persists.

    Thanks for any help available!

    Hi SA999,

I appreciate all the troubleshooting you have already done so and want help to see if we can solve this problem.

I suggest to use the following document to resolve the problem. Troubleshooting print quality problems

If the problem persists, take a look at this video, you can find very useful. Hot water rinse printhead - HP ink printers of the series with removable printhead.

If the problem persists, I suggest to call HP.  Even if the printer is maybe more warranty, HP may be able to offer something. Maybe they can offer a discount on a newer model, or discuss the option to replace the print head!

If you are in the Canada, U.S. dial 800-474-6836 or you can Contact HP worldwide.

  • Background color in Photos with El Capitan app

I'm not positive, has nothing to do with El Capitan, but it was only after the update to El Capitan I noticed. The question is - in the Photos, when I used to enlarge photos or switch mode full screen, the background behind the photo color was black. Now he is white and I can't for the life of figure me out how to change it. The reason I think that it has probably nothing to do with El Capitan, however, is that if I login as another user and open pictures, it seems to default to black; that is what I want. But, once, again can not know how to change it when logged in as myself. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

The background color will be black in edit mode, but not when enlarge you a photo or enter full screen mode.

The background turns black, when you click on "Edit", a sit is supposed to be?

Verification of diagnosis on the printer shows all ok

Tim, I would re - install the software that gives you problems.

  • Quality color, printing photos on OfficeJet J6480

The color quality seems very poor, with a bluish tint. When printing photos on my OfficeJet J6480. Cartridges show plenty of ink. Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Hello!

With this printer, I found this tree of the article:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/documentSubCategory?tmp_rule=7423&tmp_task=solveCategory&cc=us&DLC=en&lang=en&LC=en&product=3635378

Here I'd say work items on the colors bleeding into one another and any material to help get this resolved related.

Typically, this can be solved by cleaning the print heads and contacts within the printer. Be careful when you perform these steps well and I would say following the guide carefully.

    I hope this helps!

  • Never printed in color, off photo magenta

Yes I know it is a photo printer, but the way * beep * huge I use it for all my shipping label printing just so I don't have another machine in my office. So this troubles me greatly that my paper clear and simple, fast, prints black and white only aspire all my color inks. Black ink is always completely filled.

It is not always used to be like that. I bought new black cartridges for awhile, but for some reason, no change of my own, he now uses only all my color for black inks. I just had to replace all of them recently, and I haven't done a print color yet. Printer has 3 months. Is what I can do besides go to a brother laser printer, it's pretty ridiculous.

"... I use it for all my print shipping label... »

Right now, that you have discovered, is not the best choice for a shipping label printer!  That is, Best Buy $ 50 million or printer will be a better choice.

Second, if you print all B & W, the black cartridge is not yet full.  The problem is that the Pro-100 cannot print black true if we use only the black cartridge.  It requires that all the other cartridges to achieve this.

If you are printing photos, you really need another printer.  If you pictures, you should always get a dedicated shipping label printer.  Otherwise, you won't be happy.

  • Intermittent pixelation, fuzz and reduction of the colors (with photos)

EDIT: Are the images below showing no not for you? I downloaded via the forum. Some tips on making them to show? I selected the option to make them private.

A few days ago, we bought a new DM4 1160-United States. Occasionally, we will get what looks like the pixelation, fuzz, or out of the blue color reduction. Put the PC to sleep so he raises he cleared.

We use the Windows 7 x 64 original operating system. Nothing fancy is installed. All drivers are in their last review by downloads driver update Windows and HP online.

Here are pictures of the problems. What they don't show, it's how some pixels will start randomly blinking or flickering.

Most of the time, the screen is fine. We have not found a way to reproduce reliably. Occurs when it has been over a long period or not. Has no correlation with CPU supported to use. (In fact, this laptop did not a lot of serious CPU usage at all.) It is not a problem of overheating induced by outside, as if you were to block the vents - it happens even when you sit for a while on a table in a cool room.

It is a picture of the office with the Windows 7 default background image. Note how the gradient in the background it looks like something you'd see in a 16-color image. And notice the white stripes randomly in the notes.

In case you think this is a problem with the way I put my video properties, let me assure you, it isn't that. The video properties have not moved to use the full resolution of the screen in 32-bit color mode. Also, put the computer to sleep and wake up, he shouldn't change my settings. Finally, there is no adjustment as shoud cause pixels to twinkle.

Look how strong black characters have non-black pixels:

If you have reduced to a mode 16 colors, you would expect some problems with how the pixels on the edge translate due to antialiasing, but above, you see the characters have pixels of color suspiciously at random in all of characters.

Now, to top it off, it's that picture of my systray:

Note the random coloring. The background behind it is a solid color, so it does not effect of translucency.

This isn't something that can be fixed with an upgrade of the driver. The screen is defective or the cable itself has been disconnected from the motherboard where it plugs into the screen, or both. Possibility of video card becomes defective.

It's a hardware problem, it's only a few days, return to where you buy or contact HP.

Personally I just return it and get a new one, even if this problem is corrected, who knows what else can fool you.

A new computer should not do this, and you shouldn't have to pee with her to make it work.

  • Colors and photo look terrible quality when set as wallpaper and after emailing, help?

    Hello world!

so I recently had a problem, I think that it is possible to do with the way my pictures are saved.
I recently had to wipe my computer and support everything on a hard drive, so I had to re install photoshop. Since the wipe I had some problems with the way my photos look when I have them set as bottom of screen or when I send an email the colors in the pictures appear very dirty and washed out and the quality seems worse as well but who could appear just like that because the photo is already so horrible. When I discovered photos in my photo gallery in my documents they look very well,

they look good in photoshop and they appear normally when I transfer them to Web sites, the problem only seems to occur when I email them and when I set them as the background.

    tilly photo error.jpg

Here is an example of one of my photos, the background image is the good image of high quality with the colours displayed correctly. Above is what happens to the image when I put it as my background or when I send by e-mail. This would be a matter of CMYK? I thought that I double checked and all my settings were correct, but at this point I'm pretty frustrated

Does anyone have an idea what is happening here?

    Thank you!

    Hi emmav,

It seems to be a problem due to the change of color space.

It seems that Photoshop working on ProPhoto RGB, and after saving the image, the color space is defined as sRGB.

Suggest you follow these steps in Photoshop.

    1. open the image in Photoshop

    2. go in the Edit > convert to profile > change the Destination space to sRGB > click OK

    3. save the image and try to download on mail, or set as background.

    Kind regards

  • I'll put up correctly "Photoshop manages color" when Photo printing?

I have a new printer Epson AND 4500 with which I am trying to print a photo and let Photoshop manage color.

I created a new ICC file for Canon Photo Paper Pro paper I use.

In the dialog box "Print" of Photoshop, I chose "Photoshop manages colors" in the menu "Color Handling.

I chose my ICC profile created for paper and she is clearly identified in the menu 'profile of the printer '.

I chose "Normal printing" and "Relative Colorimetry" for the "rendering intent".

    "Black Point Compensation" is checked.

At the top of the dialog box, I clicked 'Print Settings' and it then opens a dialog specific to my new printer Epson AND 4500.  In this dialog box, I chose:

o Type of paper - Premium, glossy Photo paper

    o high - quality

    o color

There is one menu item "Other Options" and I click on that to open another dialog box.  In this box, under "Color Correction", the choices are "Automatic" and "made to measure".  I choose "Custom" and then click on the button "Advanced".  A new dialog box opens that says 'Color management' at the top and allows you to choose one of four options:

    O color controls

    o Photo fix

    o ICM

    o No. color setting

    I chose "CIM".

    I then print the image.

My problem is that in my view, there is absolutely no difference in the colors of the printed image compared to when I print the same photo, but choose "Printer manages colors" in the dropdown menu of Photoshop for 'handling of color.

I'm doing something wrong?  It just surprised (and disappointed) me that I don't see any difference when I let the printer manage colors and when I have Photoshop manage colors using an ICC file I created specific to my new printer and the paper choice.

    Thank you for your help.

    Len Jacobson

No, you should use no color adjustment (which is supposed to be set automatically when the application handles color). By selecting ICM, you have transformed the image twice and mutilated the color.

ICM should be chosen if you let the printer manage color (in which case Photoshop do anything to your color data).

  • Is there a way in LR to say what color space photo is stored in?

I have a lot of files Tiff 16-bit in my Lightroom library.  I'm looking for a simple way to determine what color space has been assigned to them.  The only way I know to find out is to open them in Photoshop.  Lightroom has a way to tell me?  This seems like a pretty basic capacity for high level like Lightroom photo software, but I can't.  File Tiff still has numbers RGB of origin who had the RAW file, or have been changed as a result of the color space used?  If the original numbers are still there, so maybe that the assigned color space is not serious, and I can change it if I want to? I'm using Lightroom 5.5 on a windows 7 64 system.

In Lr5 - Yes, well: sorta...

No display on the right metadata, or in lib filters, but smart collections have rule - see 'color-> color Source profile. Unfortunately, one must know ahead what to look for, but still: it's better than nothing...

    For example:

Rounds to the top of all the photos with the Adobe RGB profile.

And you can have another with "contains the sRGB..."

  • wrong color retouched photo

I want to use this picture for a website, but the logo's pantone blue in it and it does not, but the photo corresponding to the overall theme.  There are 2 things wrong with this picture.  One is it is dimmed on the upper part and the other is I'd like colors to change steel blue, indigo, red, roses or violets instead of warm tones. I love the warm tones but it does not match with the logo.   My question is where should I start?  I have to use the moving dotted line?  What else? Is it possible to add in the image, which has been used in output?  I don't know where is the original photo.   There was a brochure made but the artist kept the originals.  It may be photo galleries, but I don't know where.  There is another question if you download photos of photos of the reserve aren't JPEG?  You don't need to start with a photoshop file?  You can't really resize a jpeg image.  Any advice would be appreciated.

How did you get the photograph? When it comes to restore the faded area I think it would be e better to get the photographer's original file and start from there.
