Blue horizonal lines

I have horizontal blue lines across the lower part of my PC Toshiba laptop.  They stop when the computer warms up.

A little advice: you need to get your driver software directly from your computer or the manufacturer of the equipment.

See you soon.

    Hello

If this blue line is present from the first second after turning on the laptop that I presume it's because of the faulty graphics card. To be sure try to connect an external display to see the same thing will happen. If Yes, it is the evidence that this line occurs due to faulty hardware.

    Hello

have you tried to plug the external monitor? If it still shows blue vertical lines, the reason is a failure of the graphics card. (You can also reinstall Windows to check the related issue of f it's Os). Otherwise, contact the after-sales service.

  • Small blue wavy lines on pictures taken with the iPhone

These blue wavy lines appeared when I take pictures with my front & rear in front of the camera of the iPhone 6. They have always been there and there doesn't seem to be any damage to one of the glasses. I know that they are small but are easily noticeable especially when zoomed in. How they are caused? apple can fix it? I have found no issue similar to this on the web.

Try to take a screenshot , while in the camera.  If the blue lines appear then its either something on or under your goal. You can try to clean it up, but if not, you will need to consider in or contact Apple for service.

Please don't tell me they are dead... hoooo pixels... I am now, life away from any toshiba repair shop and I get a guarantee...
I think that I bought 3 years ago. Need urgent help

    Hey Susana

I wouldn't say it s a lack of dead pixel, but to me, it looks like a more serious problem.
It looks like a malfunction of the graphics card. But to be sure, you should try to connect the external monitor to the computer and check if the same vertical line will appear on the second screen.

If you're going to see the same line on the external monitor, then I assume that the question of the vertical blue line might be linked to the GPU fault.
This could be the case value because the chip graphic card cannot be replaced. You need to replace the whole motherboard :(

So, as you see it s not easy to solve this problem and I really recommend to contact a technician who has more experience with these laptop problems.

    Good luck

    Hello

After a day of use, I have a blue vertical line on the screen. Defective LCD screen? Tried to reapply the latest firmware, but that doesn't change anything. Other things to try before a sent an RMA?

I dunno if Newegg "corresponds to" Amazon product replacement policy is defective products: Amazon will cover the shipping costs for the return (via a pre-paid return label he sends you) but also send a replacement free of charge.  You might want to check with Newegg, if your Clip has been purchased recently.

Apart from Newegg, if you need to take advantage of the SanDisk warranty directly with her, SanDisk (at least in the United States) covers shipping as well as for the replacement that is sent back.

  • Why am I a thin blue vertical line on screen?

Why am I a thin blue vertical line on the screen of my PrecisionM4800

.? Is there problem with Video card?

    Hello Karthi.SK44,

Thanks for writing on the Dell Community Forum.

I suggest you to test the display on the external monitor to confirm if the screen is bad on external monitor while the motherboard is faulty.

Then run LCD BIST (built-in self-test) on the system to shut down the system, then press and hold the power button. Then put on the system where, in solid colors will be visible on the system. If the line is visible during the test, then the screen is defective.

If these two tests pass and then make sure that the system ins safe mode with network to eliminate the operating system.

I hope this helps. If there are questions more respond to this message.

    Nice day!

I have a blue vertical line on my laptop. I can't even take a screenshot of that (in the screenshot is not there). I tried to update my driver too but it shows that you have the latest version of your display driver. Please help me...

Depending on how "mechanical" you're - you could try the case remove and clean then reconnect the ribbon cable from the screen. It's actually not that hard to do and you can probably Google instructions specific to your model of laptop.

    I hope this helps.

  • "Horizon lines ' is not considered in the workspace 2.1

In the old version of workspace, there is a service called 'Horizon lines', but he is not seen in the last 2.1 working space. idea?

Starting with version 2.0, the part of files is simply removed from Workspace. VMware has decided to stop this product which, somehow, I can understand. With the acquisition of Airwatch, Secure Content Locker will replace the files of the Horizon and that the product is more mature than the way files was. The only thing so far that I stumbled on, he seems unable to share folders with people outside. There is a way to get around this, but I was informed by a pre-sale Airwatch, be it in their next release. To be confirmed.

Now, you have 6 days to qualify for the "no charge" upgrade, mentioned in KB2076011 if you are entitled to it. So pick up your phone and call everyone you can to have done would be a shame to miss it.

When I say 'free' actually, you get the SCL licenses for free. You must register for a maintenance contract, what is normal and that this is a facility on site, you will have to pay also for the implementation. But this s money if you want my opinion for what it brings.

From the workspace 2.1, SCL is now fully integrated into it.

    Hope this helps

  • Re: Satellite A500 - 15 M - blue vertical line appears on the LCD screen

Hi - I turned on my laptop the other day (I have an A 500 - 15M) and I noticed a very thin dotted vertical blue line running through the centre-right of the screen of my computer, all the way up and down.

I tried things like change the desktop theme, screen settings, updated to the intel drivers but nothing is done, it won't go away. Does anyone have a solution or a similar problem? I bought an extended warranty of 3 years so could still call Toshiba and ask them about it, but wanted to see if there was a quick fix here of someone.

I tried to restore to a previous restore point, but nothing helped.

Help please, because it is very annoying!

    Thank you very much!

    Hi bilal1982,

Hmm, it seems to be a hardware malfunction with your laptop

I mean that if you tried to update the driver display and restored Windows to an earlier point, but without success, it seems that the graphics card or LCD screen is defective.
You can connect an external monitor to check if it of the graphics card or internal LCD screen.

But in both cases you should contact a provider authorized in your country. Guys can fix your laptop under warranty, so it of free for you.

Here is a list of aspic, where you can search:

    Good luck! :)

  • Blue vertical line on monitor

There is a vertical blue line on my screen and it is not the monitor iteself. I believe that it is from the software. I tried to restore to the day without the line but nothing happened. I also tried to open and restore in safe mode, but again nothing. If anyone can help, please explain in detail. Thank you!

    Hello

If the line is there in all modes, then we could indeed in the material of the monitor or a
    in the screen itself.

Try to update or reinstall your video/display driver. Also check with the manufacturer of your system
and the manufacturer of the device support and forums for known issues.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system. For
each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver, description,.
version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - Device Manager - Display Adapter - note the brand and complete model of your
video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this
cannot do anything as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party with their
own the software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration) and then of the manufacturer of the device
(Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for the BIOS, Chipset and software)
updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - tab drivers version you install actually shows up. This
because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a
pilot - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW on device at the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER - manually check by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

This leaves ONE of Windows updates, but it will not install the drivers who are generally older and cause
