Blue light on the power cord for Inspiron One 2320

Just bought two Inspiron One 2320 Dell Outlet. The one with the Pentium processor and no touch screen came with a power supply cord has a continuous blue light to the stem of the rope through the computer. The one with the i3 processor and a touch screen has no blue light. Why should light and the other does not. Also, I would pass the cords since the cord with a blue light on the system in a bedroom and is boring. Any ideas?

Because we're a KMART blue light special.

Wrap the plug with a piece of black electrical tape and the problem is solved.

    Hello world.  I bought the boombox Sony players of CFDG700CP years and love it.  Recently, I had to save my space so I gave my niece little (left his eardrums little dance on this awesome bass!)  (LOL).  Only problem is that I can't find the power cord for the boombox.  Can someone tell me what kind of power cord use this boombox?  I thank in advance for your time.

  • Inspiron One 2320 A10 BIOS update is blocked

    I'm trying to update the BIOS on my Inspiron One 2320 after replacing the hard drive. It worked fine except the fan was running full speed constantly, even after a boot after being closed overnight - so no question of real heat. Advance Google search for BIOS update being a solution to the problem of fan went wild.

    So...

    I put the file A10.exe on a bootable USB key, rebooted and ran the file. Everything was going well until I came to this screen:

    =============================

    ITE Flash Utility Version: 1.0

    Device ID; 7f9d20ff
    Seller of SPI; Chingis

    Block number: 0

    Eraseing--erase OK

    Erase check--check OK

    Programming--programming OK

    Check--check OK

    [blinking cursor]

    =============================

    And it's been sitting here just like that for a few hours now. I'm afraid to do something or to restart. I am wayyyy out of warranty, so I'm on my own.

    Help?

    You could try erasing BIOS by removing the battery motherboard button and press / hold the power button for about 30 seconds before reinstalling the battery. Check the Manual and follow the instructions carefully to remove/install the battery.

    If the battery is more of ~ 2-3 years old, this could be a good idea to install a new, so you don't have to replace it again, at least not for a long time (er).

    Are how far out of warranty you? If I remember correctly, Dell had a policy to replace a motherboard - once and only once - if it doesn't have a BIOS update within six months of the end of the warranty. Do not know if that still stands...

    So if does not help clear BIOS by pulling on the battery, you can contact Support to see if this policy is always available.

  • Pavilion Slimline lock up in sleep mode-fan works high not lights up unless I pull the power cord 1

    New HP Pavilion Slimline desktop 400-314 - mode 'sleep' sometimes cause to lock the computer, the power light is on, the fan runs at the top.  Only way to unlock the computer is to hold the power button for 5 seconds.  I wait 15-20 seconds, then press the power button to wake it up.  Immediately the computer restarts to the top with solid power light and the fan turns at the top.  The only way to break this vicious circle must first pull the power cord to the rear, wait 30 seconds and plug it in again.  This time, when I turn on the computer it goes off just fine.

    Is this a BIOS problem?  Please help as I don't have that much hair left.

    * Solved * Finally!  After 8 grueling days of pain staking agony and incessant attempts to fix this thing, I finally solved my problem.  I spent countless hours on the phone with HP support and nothing resolved.  That is: the problem with this computer locking up and sending the fan at high spin was due only with external speakers. When you reset the power system disconnected to boot the system, he would normally go for at least half a day before locking up.  I discovered that the speakers are older than 15 years. It's funny, these speakers worked fine on a desktop HP 2004 previous Pavilion running on Windows XP.  Now, it's static build-up that caused my death or something else?  As far as I know, it's that I'm a happy camper using headphones with a new system of HP that finally works.  Thank you to everyone who made suggestions.

  • blue screen after pulling on the power cord

    I accidentally pulled the power cord while the computer was on, now I get a blue screen that says to run checkdisk, but I can't go beyong trhat screen.

    my suggestion is to start your computer with a xp cd and run a chkdsk command & via the recovery console fixboot.

    There is more info here but focus on option 2: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314058

    Sometimes the fixmbr command must also be executed as well, if the computer gives you an error message later on "master boot record".

  • The specific power cord for my Pavillion Slimline can I or can I use any 3 components?

    Sorry for the long cuff links in the title. I was wondering if I need a specific power cord or if I can use any string to 3 old shutters. Also have cords in the HP store? I had a devil of a time trying to find it. The computer is a Pavilion Slimline s5610f. Thanks from a newbie on the HP forums!

    Hello

    Did you buy your machine from another country? I can't believe this, HP provides no USB cable on some printers and now without power cord for a PC. Even in many countries of the third world, they still have rules on the power cords and normal for a country power cords should be allowed to use on devices sold in this country. Have you checked the box, the store where you purchased the machine (if local) must provide a power supply for you.

    Kind regards.

  • HP Deskjet 6988 seems dead. Mid-page printing order, all the lights are off except the power cord light

    He won't return.  Push buttons does not help, or not pulling on the power cord to the printer, standby, restart the router & printers.  I have also connected by ethernet cable but I do not think that the connection is the problem because the printer is connected to power but will not produce lights or sounds.  It does not appear on the list of printers, and utility HP cannot detect it.   Windows Vista 32-bit, in my opinion, bought in 2007.  Is it gone forever?

    Hi Poboy,

    If the adapter has a green light to this topic, and you tried to plug it into different outlets, this would indicate that the printer may be dead. If you have tried these steps consult the following site

    Hey,.

    For me, the matter is clear: the battery can't hold a charge so the laptop will be shut down because it has no power.

    I think you need to replace the battery with a new one and you can get a provider of service authorized in your country. Simply contact the guy and ask that they can tell you how much it would cost.

    You can find a list of all FSA here:

  • Pavilion m6 - stop suddenly and mystery of the power cord

    Hi people,

    I got a very strange problem with my laptop from m6-1035dx Pavilion the past two days. This is a reconditioned unit and have had some problems with it in the past (both hardware and software-related) that I managed to fix me, but this one left me speechless.

    It started yesterday when the computer was placed on a bed (with a CoolerMaster pad below, which I almost never separate the portable device) and immediately turn off the power. In the past, I had problems with heat stops, that I solved with a bit of air in canned and CoolerMaster pad said, so I don't think much. But the same thing happened today, and I noticed that when it has restarted, it does not recognize the fact that the computer is plugged in. Unplugged the cord/AC converter to three points (computer, converter, wall) and tried again, still nothing. Tried another outlet, blew the vents, power off and removed/re-inserted battery, still no recognition of the power. I reinstalled HP CoolSense (which I had removed several months before) and hope that would take care of things. Meanwhile, I shut the computer off again, and the LED power indicator lit on its own.

    Several hours later, the computer was reactivated and placed on a flat surface. Someone tripping over the cord, and the computer turns off again. The LED power indicator is out once more, so I unplugged the power cord and left for a few minutes. Blocked again, and the power was back.

    I am reasonably confident that I should replace the power cord at this point, but I want expert advice before I commit the money that him. It may also be interesting to note that while the power cord did not work, the battery (92%) had about two hours and six minutes of use remaining, which is well below the advertised battery capacity (to be noted that only Chrome was running at the time) and what I saw of the battery in the past. I think that the cable or converter can be shorted, then is it safe to use the computer at all? Wouldn't be a good idea to replace the battery as well? I will provide any other details if necessary and thank you in advance for any help or advice.

    Hi maestro35,

    Welcome to the HP Support Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

    I understand that you are having feeding problems with your Pavilion m6. I'll be happy to help you with this. If it is running with the battery, I wouldn't worry about the replacement of the battery quite yet. As for the fact that it gives you less time announced that it could be the mere fact that the battery life decreases over time. You don't mention your operating system, this is why I have included two links below which will allow you to test and calibrate the battery. This will confirm that the battery is working properly.

    Test and calibrate the battery (Windows 7)

    Test and calibrate the battery (Windows 8)

    I agree that it appears as if the power cord is the question. If you have a similar cord, you might give it a try to see, but there's a chance it might be the prospects of power supply for laptop. If something is shorted, then you shouldn't really use the laptop but without testing actually physically we will not be able to determine if something is put in short circuit.

    Thank you

  • Portege M200 - connection loose in the power cord

    Hello

    After almost 5 years of intensive use (this is the 3rd battery which is currently begging for replacement...) my M200 still works fine - great device!

    However, the power cord has a bad connection for a few weeks now. The problem is located next to the DC plug. So, whenever I connect the M200 to food, I need to turn and bend the cable in order to reactivate the charge current. Friend of mine, a 2004 purchased another M200, exactly the same problem.

    Problem: The power cord is fixed on the transformer, and a new Toshiba 15V power is quite expensive (if you manage to find one, anyway...). Is there a solution to fix the cable (or get a replacement cable / repair kit) rather than buy a new power supply?

    Thank you!

    Florian

    Hi mate,

    AFAIK there is no repair kit for this problem. You must buy a new Toshiba AC/DC adapter because a cable can t be repaired.

    I know it's so cheap, but maybe you can get another compatible adapter AC/DC to an authorized service provider. Many AC adapters are compatible to different notebooks, so maybe a cheaper is available.

    Here you can search for an ASP to give them a call:

  • Satellite Pro U400 freezes sometimes when the power cord is plugged

    Hello! I know that this problem has been addressed here and there, but I'd like to open a new thread about it. Here's the scenario.

    I recently bought a new Toshiba Satellite Pro U400-247 (PSU45E) with two batteries: (a) the original, (b) in addition purchased authentic of Toshiba PA3636U-1BRL, 7200 mAh. The laptop has the latest BIOS (4.80) and the latest drivers downloaded from Toshiba and installed (ConfigFree is not installed). I use XP Pro SP3 (own installation by myself). Everything works fine, except for one thing:

    Sometimes (but), when the laptop is running on battery power and I plug in the power cord, everything hangs and I have to restart. A few observations:

    It tends to occur more frequently when the low battery alarm has rung;
    (b) it seems to happen more frequently with the 7200 mAh battery and less frequently with the original battery.
    (c) it seems to happen most often when a USB device (mouse, for example) has been linked to the laptop, but it is not a rule;
    (d) it seems to happen less often when I move the mouse USB at the time wherever I am connect the power cord.
    (e) I've experimented a lot with Toshiba PowerSaver settings (for example to change the levels of CPU for my profile) but nothing I changed seems to change the situation.
    (f) I tried different suggestions I found on various forums, but nothing works (for example the BIOS settings);
    (g) otherwise, I can say that I have not really seen a smoother computer, everything works really fine, no other problem :)

    Everything that makes me think it must be some sort of bug in the drivers of motherboard driver PowerSaver or other drivers interact with battery, CPU or possibly USB. Y at - it an explanation to this problem and can it be rectified in some way (for example, by providing a driver update)?

    Hello

    First of all, I never heard a driver from the motherboard.
    There is a drive chipset or a graphics card driver. There is no such thing as a driver of the motherboard!

    Look, man. laptop should work fine even the AC adapter is connected or not connected
    If the laptop freezes while there might be a software problem, but in my opinion it could be hardware problem
    You must reinstall the operating system if the laptop would freeze always the issue might be related to hardware

    First of all the memory modules and AC adapter must be verified.
    If the problem persists even using new modules and AC adapter, motherboard may be affected.

  • Lost the power supply for my airport extreme!

    I lost my power cable for my airport extreme (House move!) where can I get a new one?  Online?  Thank you.

    Is your AirPort Extreme in shape as a 'tour', or you have one of the old versions "flat or square"?

    If you have the version "tower", a standard power cord "of eight" of any place of e-procurement would work very well. Radio Shack stores usually have in stock... but they probably won't have white.  Take the airport along to test fit in the store.

    If you have the old version of flat or square, you will need to purchase food and the power cord as a unit. Better go online for this.

    Windows 7.

    the light on the power button does not work. How can I activate it?

    If the key light is not lighting up, then more than likely that the LED is just out for your power button. If the laptop is still under warranty, you can it be repaired or replaced, but as long as its not causing you any serious issues, I worry too much with it.
