  • Blu - ray DVD don't play on my laptop when says that it comes with blue-ray program. Windows Vista Aspire 5520 G. Acer Arcade deluxe or windows media player

When I put in the dvd it happens on arcade deluxe acer appointed as if its going to play then returns to the page of game film and said "an essential element of the player requires periodic updates. new employees may not play if the critical component is not treated quickly. you want to update now? "Yes... not" I would then click on Yes, then, it makes my screen off for a few seconds then returns to game film I try to play the movie and he asks to the page again. What should I do I don't want to buy a new program like winDVD or powerDVD

If you just got the computer (and it sounds like that) contact the technical assistance service of the manufacturer of the computer (preferably by phone) -http://support.acer.com/ for Aspire 5520.  You may be able to get more details with the serial number of your system.  They will be happy to explain what's on your system, whether or not it can really handle discs Blu - Ray, this software to use to do (they will be able to see what they have installed on your system) and, if necessary, and even how to do because the system is almost new and certainly still under warranty.  I think you need special drivers for the drive (not to mention a disc that can play Blu - Ray discs) and the software may be special to deal with them, even if I am not sure (I don't think that Windows Media Player only is sufficient).  Arcade Delixe might do the trick (although it seems to be only an extension for WMP and unrelated to Blu - Ray), but you need to ask, because it is their software, their training and their computer.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • How to read a blu ray film in vista

How to read a blu ray movie in family vista premium sp1, my blu ray drive is an optiarc bdrom bc5500s with a provider of firmware Rev 1.83 pc is an hp dv7-1095eo

How to read a blu ray movie in family vista premium sp1, my blu ray drive is an optiarc bdrom bc5500s with a provider of firmware Rev 1.83 pc is an hp dv7-1095eo

Consult the following site who says he has a fix important firmware for your machine.  Maybe that's the answer: http://www.sony-optiarc.eu/supportservice/downloads/bluraydrivesnotebooks/bc5500s.html. (this page also includes support contact us links).  I don't know if you have to go through them or through HP, but it can't hurt to try.  If the player Blu Ray comes with your HP, you can NOT use this solution as it is does not work, but it can cause damage.  I don "t know how you have it so you have to answer this question, and then do the right thing (even if it means that you can't use the hotfix).

You can get in trouble with your device drivers.  Go to Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  Check for the blu ray devie and make sure it says that it is a blu ray devie drive (if it does not say blu ray in the description it likely somehow is not recognizing that it is a device of blu ray and pilots could be the answer). If you need to get the drivers (and you need to do at least for blu - ray device even if you installed from the disc supplied with the deivice - ago maybe more recent updates available for this device and your version of Vista and all the others you have time to do - they can help way beyond simply solve this problem) leave the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.

It is not a Vista problem from your description.  It looks like a driver problem devixe, some missing software or firmware that is necessary to make the camera to recognize blu ray discs, or a problem with the devicce himself.  You have another computer, you can connect to see if you can get it to work on this computer (or you can connect directly to your TV if it is an option).  If Yes, we know devixe works and it is something on the laptop that is at the origin of the problem.  Have you confirmed that this device is compatible with your version of Vista in the http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-vista/default.aspxVista Compatibility Center?

Another problem can be the software you use to play the movie - it cannot recognize or be able or read blu ray discs (or it can be so slow that you give before there actually loading times as I read that some may take a matter of several minutes before start).  What software you are using (name and version)?

Have you tried to contact the Helpdesk of brush head to see if they can help?  Because it's brand new, they should be happy to help you set up and work with you to resolve the problem with it being unable to recognize blu ray discs.  They met perhaps this situaton several times and have a solution easy availalble.  If the above does not work I give them a call and help you get them.  Again, I know not what provider, you must contact (but it it came with the machine, I think you deal with HP and what I read there is no solution available yet but things may have changed since that was sent)- but try both of them (one is bound to be willing and able to help you).

    I hope this helps.

    Good lucck!

    Hello

    ·          Were there any changes made to your computer before this problem?

    ·          The other CD/DVD to get recognized by the CD/DVD drive?

Reinstall and update the DVD playback software. Visit the Web site of the software vendor for more information about the update of the software to the latest version.

  • Why windows 7 does not recognize my blu - ray player

I upgraded fron vista to windows 7 and now when I put a blu - ray disc

    1 it will not play

2 it does not recognize the drive

If it's a movie/TV Blu - Ray disc, then Windows 7 will not play it unless you install 3rd party software/codecs. These can be either purchased or there are those who are free available.

Check any software initially provided with your PC of any media player grouped as those of Cyberlink or Arcsoft.

  • HDX18-1020US Blu - Ray on Vista 32-bit

I have a new HDX18-1020US that came with Vista 64 - Bit and Blu - Ray.  I decided to convert 32-bit Vista (some software I need does not work on 64-bit) and have completed the conversion (enough patches and downloads from pilot to choke a horse).  What does not work is the Blu - Ray player and it will not play any DVD movies.  I send a query to HP and they said they will not support it in this way, even if they have drivers for Vista 32-bit, XP and Windows 2000.

Also, they do not have the software for Vista 64-bit.

All the ideas and where to get the software?

    I solved my problem.

I also have a Pavilion dv9750us, another laptop Blu - Ray and running Vista 32 bit.  I took a download of HP QuickPlay and installed on the other computer.

BTW-update for HP QuickPlay and the worst I've ever seen. He keeps the opn say you there's a newer version, you forcing to download another 150 MB file, uninstall the previous version and installing the new version.  I went through this 4 times!

    Hi CWG13,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft answers Community Forums.

This can happen if there is a problem with some settings or folder permissions in the Blu - Ray player that could do this. It could also be the security program blocking the part.

A few things you can try creates a separate on the desktop folder, rather than to use the documents shared and then try to access it from the drive.

You can also try to disable your firewall program and security and then try to access to the shared folder.

Try to disable the user account control and check.

You may also be able to solve the problem by taking possession of the record.

To take ownership of a folder

1 right click on the folder you want to take control and then click Properties.

    2. click on the Security tab, click Advanced, and then click the owner tab.

    3. click on modify.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    4. click on the name of the person you want to give to the property.

    5. If you want this person to be the owner of the files and subfolders in this folder, select the void containers and objects check box Replace owner.

    6. click on OK.

Let us know if this doesn't work or if you need further assistance.

    Kind regards

  • First elements 11 doesn't recognize blu ray burner

Bought Pawtec external blu ray burner. First elements 11 recognizes it as a dvd burner, but not a blu ray burner. How can I fix?

    Long160

Sorry for the burner 8.1 and Ghost and first Elements 12. Looks like we both had the same "media does not exist. Very disappointing.

Any chance to make (or borrow) an another Blu - ray external writer to determine if the problem is specific to the external burner you have (Pawtec external blu ray burner)?

If you are set in your current situation, you could explore the idea of burn your Timeline on DVD AVCHD and then burning the BDMV folder this disc to a Blu - ray disc with free software like ImgBurn? Then determine which resembles your Blu - ray player after first finding out if the product disc is compatible with your Blu - ray player.

Please consult the bulletin and then let us know the result.

    Thank you.

  • Drive BD - ROM does not recognize Blu - Ray discs

I bought a laptop computer to Leap Motion 17j-100 HP ENVY on measurement with discs Blu - Ray player a few months in the United States. I moved to India now with this laptop.

For the BD - ROM Bank, I set the region to region 5 (which I think also corresponds to region C Blu Ray) for the India.

I bought a few Blu Ray discs of the India itself - Bourne Legacy, birds, how to catch a thief.

It works great on Power DVD 12 cell phone comes pre-installed.

Recently, I installed updates and updated the Power DVD software on the Forum from the HP Support site.

I've updated all the drivers and there will be no more updates to install.

The drive plays Cds/DVDs very well. But he stopped playing Blu Rays. I thught it could be solved by using a different sofwatre like Corel Win DVD so I installed a version of 30-day track, but the same problem.

Basically, the BD - Rom drive did a few laps and then stops, say that there is no disk in drive F:

What can I do to make the Blu - Ray discs works again

    Thank you

Thank you MechPilot and a peer. I managed to solve the problem by buying the full version of Power DVD separately (Power DVD 14) (apparently the Win DVD trial version is not suitable for the capabilities of Blu - Ray). I guess it was a software problem after all
