BLUE SCREEN: 0X000000D1, w70n51.sys

Hello

I have an ASUS (5 years old) with a Windows XP. Over the few days while the computer was working that it would block completely and a BLUE SCREEN appears.

I used the recovery provided by AUSUS CD to reset the systems at the factory level. However, although I am Re installing Windows XP Professional I get the following error message:

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

STOP: 0X000000D1 (0X030203C5, 0X00000002, 0X00000000, 0XEF980000)

w70n51.sys - address EF980000 base at EF97c000, dateStamp 3ee71b51.

Therefore, I'm unable to even start my PC as Windows is not installed!

What should I do?

Thanks in advance for your support

lol remove the PCI card, install Windows, install all updates and then install the latest drivers, shut down the PC, reinsert the card and start your Windows. Windows now installs the latest drivers, which I hope it does not cause the issue. "A programmer is just a tool that converts the caffeine in code" Deputy CLIP - http://www.winvistaside.de/

iastor.sys seems belongs to the SATA/controller HARD disk controller.
Eventually he deliver s HARD drive.
However, you can try to reinstall the Storage Manager Intel because this package contains this file.

If this is not enough, try to restore the system using the recovery disc or HARD drive recovery...

Chrome has initialized the call that crashed. Looking at the call stack, it seems to be releasing a police in memory that is not or no longer exists.

Chrome update, update drivers video (and possibly print drivers). You use a third-party program of fonts?

I'm not Chrome, but IE has trouble shooting modes such as disabling addons.

  • Windows continues to if crush/blue screen mentions stdriver32.sys and bios updates

My computer crashes, a blue screen with lots of text flashes up briefly before the restart of the it, I took a photo of the last time so I could read: says:

"A problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

It gives then a few steps to follow if the problem happens again, but I do not understand what I have to do. The first is to check that I have enough disk space (pretty sure I do, there are 60 GB free on the hard drive). Then he said: If a driver is identified in the error message turn it off / update. He suggested then update BIOS/disable cache/occultation layout.

I'm not sure if it's just a standard error message?

    Technical information:

    STOP: 0 X£ 0000008 (0XC0000005, 0X91838C21, 0XA9880878, 0X00000000)

This happened about 15 times now, usually I have Firefox running on time, possibly Skype or msn also - don't know if this is relevant.

After the crash, the computer reboots normally, so far. I reallly appreciate any help or advice.

    Thank you. Paul

It seems that this is caused by SoundTap, recorder of audio.

You can uninstall it if you need, or if you use it, reinstall it to ensure that get you the most up-to-date for your operating system version.

If you still get the BSOD, you can post your DMP files so that we can check out them?

You can zip the MiniDump files in the C:\Windows\Minidump folder and make it available via Windows Live SkyDrive. You can then provide the link to that on this forum.

The following link has information about the use of Windows Live SkyDrive:

    http://social.technet.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/w7itproui/thread/4fc10639-02dB-4665-993a-08d865088d65

If you have problems to compress the minidump files copy the minidump files to another location such as a folder on the desktop

In addition, you do not necessarily have compress the minidump files, you can download one at a time.

  • blue screen d1 (storport.sys) (IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal) Windows 7

Hey guys, I had a few problems with the blue screens.

First of all, I'm on a brand new computer, hardware nine and new installation of Windows 7, including windows updates and all updates of pilot (that I know), as well as other software (eg games).

However, when I browse with Firefox (watch Youtube) or game too long, my computer blue screen and the blue screen tends to change. Sometimes, I have no information on the blue screen, sometimes it says IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal but sometimes also to mention storport.sys.

Upon restart, my blue screen error code is as follows:

    Signature of the problem:
    Problem event name: BlueScreen
    OS version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48

Thank you very much in advance, I am really puzzled as to what to do.

    Hello

Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community Forums.

According to the description, it seems that you are having problems with BSOD error messages while browsing the YouTube site with the FireFox browser. I will certainly help you fix this problem.

Since the system file posted, looks like you are having problems with the Intel AHCI drivers on your computer.

    (1) was there any update of hardware controller or drivers of storage recently controller?

    (2) have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

Method 1: If so, I suggest you to make back the drivers to the previous version and check if it helps.

Method 2: If this isn't the case, I suggest you to install drivers AHCI update from the Intel Web site or the manufacturer's Web site and check.

I hope it helps. If you have any questions about Windows in the future, please let us know. We will be happy to help you.

Windows has shut down to prevent damage to your system... atapi.sys... What does this mean exactly... .and how to fix... Please can someone help me.the laptop is still under warranty, but I don't want to send it if it is only a small problem... .Thanks everyone

    Hello

AFAIK the atapi.sys is a driver for an optical drives (CD/DVD drive).
    Maybe the application is corrupt?
You have nothing installed on this unit or have you changed the OS?

I think you should try to update all Microsoft updates. If you have manually installed the OS, try to first use the Toshiba Recovery CD.

    Hello

All attached files of the DMP are the error checking DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (d1) .

A kernel mode driver attempted to access pageable memory with an IRQL (Interrupt Request level) that was too high.

Usual causes are a device driver has a bug and tried to access invalid memory, the swap file is damaged or there is a memory problem.

Throughout your * D1 dumps, it seems that the consistent culprit is Teefer.sys who is a pilot with respect I think the Sygate Personal Firewall.

We see Teefer is subsequently called in various networking related routines, then a verification error, so we probably have a conflict. Take a look at your list of loaded modules, I see you have installed Norton. It's more than likely that the firewall is in conflict with, if you have two choices:

    1. remove and replace Norton with built-in Windows Defender from Windows 8 and use Windows Firewall.

    Norton removal tool - https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/kb20080710133834EN_EndUserProfile_en_us;jsessionid=841A6D40BA6872C47697C6C6B19C8E11.4?entsrc=redirect_pubweb&pvid=f-home

    or

    2. remove Sygate Personal Firewall and use Norton on its own.

When I try to connect to the internet via my PeoplePC account I get a blue screen 0X000000D1 error Code and DRIVER _IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAl.  I don't have this problem when I connect through AOL.  Is there a fix I can download to fix this problem?  My operating system is Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3.

Thanks for your help.  However, my security software tech Rep gave me a quick solution.  All I had to do was click on restore defaults for my security firewall.

  • NFTS.sys of blue screen on reboot after uninstalling McAfee VirusScan Plus

On my Windows XP SP3 computer, I want to uninstall McAfee VirusScan Plus and reinstall because there are errors in the program.  Whenever I have uninstall and then reboot, I get a blue screen with nfts.sys showed that the problem, but with a constantly changing code.  At this point, the computer does not start even in safe mode.  I got my drive C to a backup disk for the computer will once again and uninstalled McAfee several times in different ways, but end up with the same problem.

I ran chkdsk a couple of times and it fixes it says, they were mistakes.

McAfee said that it is not their problem.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Sigh...

Try going to this link, SkyDrive tells me that the file cannot be shared with me, we must
go back and on the right side of the screen, click "Edit permissions" and drag it up to "everyone (public) and click Save."

"I hope that I will not have to be the one to write some ' how the message on your SkyDrive files" installation instructions - I think it would be a Microsoft support technician job.

Here's the official page of SkyDrive.

This isn't your fault, MFL100 :) - you have not been given adequate instructions.

    Hello ginger957,

ATAPI.sys is the driver file for the drivers of storage system. It may be the hard disk that fails to give the stop errors. If you try another hard drive or upgrade the hard drive on another computer which results do you see?

    Hello

Repair attempt tells us not what you did. Have you checked
Malware? Don't forget that no one program will detect all malware. You updated the BIOS, low
level chipset drivers and device drivers main since the system (motherboard manufacturer site
manufacturer of custom systems) and device manufacturers sites?

If you can not save or copy the data to removable media such as CD, DVD, or USB drives,
then you can put the hard drive on another computer as 2nd drive or externally
USB box. After the backup of the date, then you can reinstall Windows to see if it solves
    blue screen problems.

    I hope this helps.

  • STOP: 0x000000D1 ndis.sys error during the Windows Xp Setup screen

I have a computer tailor-made with a motherboard Intel D865GLC with a p4 running at 2.5 Ghz, a western digital 200 GB HARD drive, a drive Liteon DVD - RW, this computer was recently given too me by a friend because I can not afford the newer hardware. There is no specific time that he likes to fail, but no matter what it fails, it can be just by copying the files from its installation, the network while it please help

    Thanks in advance

    Nate

Do not install an operating system is usually caused by (in order of probability):

    1. you are trying to install with other devices connected to the computer. Unplug them before trying to make an installation.

    2. "" "" defective installation media. "" Check the CD/DVD installation for scratches, tasks. Try another machine.

    3. bad optical drive. Test with another CD/DVD bootable or Exchange for a well-known work.

    4. faulty RAM. Test with Memtest86 + www.memtest.org . You will download the .iso image file to create a bootable cd. Burn the file with the third party burning software *-as an image, not in the form of data. Then start with the media that you did (you may need to change the boot priority in your BIOS so that the optical drive is the first boot device). The test runs immediately. The test run for an hour or two--at least that errors are seen immediately. If you get any errors, replace the RAM.

    * It is not necessary to have a third party burning software in Windows 7 since Win7 natively allows to burn an .iso. Other operating systems require it. A good free choice ImgBurn comes from www.imgburn.com .

    5. bad hard drive. Test with a diagnostic utility downloaded from site of the disc mftr... You create a bootable CD with the files you download. Burn the file with a third-party burning software (unless you have Windows 7, that allows to record the .isos natively) - as an image, not in the form of data. Boot with the CD that you have done and do a full test of the reader. The physical tests fail, replace it.

    6. other hardware components are faulty. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!
