  • HP 15-af131dx: Radeon settings do not work after having back the video driver

I can't access Radeon settings after I've updated my video driver and then restored to the previous version. When I try to open it, I get this message:

I currently use the 15.201.1101.0 driver version. How can I return Readon settings?

    HPlaptop51

That's exactly why I have driver updates disabled in the Win10 - so it won't 'break' my PC with updates.  I had to disable in Win10, but I also had to disable it in the AMD Edition Crimson tool - because he was also trying to force updates on me.

The version you mentioned is the correct version for your PC and Win10.

So, the first thing I would do is go to this page and download the AMD driver: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-15-af100-Notebook-PC-series/8543365/model/8961406

Copy this driver on a USB key, so you can add it later.

So, what I would say is that you download and run this tool to permanently delete all traces of the AMD driver: AMD own Uninstall Utility

When this is done, try reinstalling the driver AMD of the file on the USB key.  It should work fine, this time.

Then block the updates of pilot in Win10: how stop Windows 10 to update automatically the device drivers - windows Windows 10-10

While it is certainly a notch above have generic drivers for a new installation of Windows, can someone point to me where I can find another solution for this screen, or maybe a new driver? Any help would be appreciated. c:

We need the DMP file because it contains the single record of the sequence of events that led to the accident, what drivers have been loaded, and what has been loaded.

WE NEED AT LEAST TWO FILES DMP TO SPOT TRENDS AND TO CONFIRM THE DIAGNOSIS.

If you're overclocking (pushing components beyond their design) return you to default at least until the crash is resolved. If you don't know what it is that you're probably not overclocking.
You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting in SafeMode (F8) with networking.
If you are overclocking stop.  (chances are that if you are unsure if you are, you are not)

  • Re: Satellite - blue screen after BIOS update

    Hello

My computer laptop girls worked very well until I did the BIOS update this morning. Now, I get the blue screen of death STOP: 0X0000007F. Help, please

    concerning

    Carol

Hey, Carol, welcome to the forum! :)

Don t misunderstand me, but may I ask why you n t post more information about your problem?
Important to know is that your laptop you have exactly and where to download the updated BIOS and for what model. This is important information.

By the way: have you ever tried to load the default settings in the BIOS after update?

  • Satellite 1905-s303, WinXP: giant screen, need to update the display driver?

Hey guys, thanks for your help in advance!

I am a Satellite 1905-S303 and Windows XP

Here's what s past with my computer:

When I turn it on there a little longer than normal to start. And I hear a sound of tck - tck on the back of my computer that I have don t usually hear.

When it does not start: everything on the screen is HUGE, and I get a window saying: ATI Advanced Desktop Utilities could not initialize, because no ATI driver is installed OR ATI driver does not work properly

Again, everything on my screen is huge (with the exception of the desktop background): the mouse, icons, windows, text, start menu, web browser, youtube videos, all. All the color and resolution stitching large and other than the fact that everything is great, the seams of the computer to function very well.

I ran Spybot S & D, my antivirus software and Malwarebytes AntiMalware. Everything turns out to be clean.

Okay, so, I tried to update my Device Manager display driver, and in the middle of installing Mobility M6, it is said: the file ati2mtag.sys on installation of ATI Technologies Inc. (VIDEO) DISC is needed. Type the path where the file is located.
I n t have this I can not be completed.

In any case, that s what I tried to do to solve this problem, but couldn't t. So I found this
Windows XP Display Driver for ATI M-6 graphics card and its compatible with my model computer. Located here:

I think that what I have to do is to install the above. Can anyone advice please?
Is it safe to me, just download this driver and install it? Or is so dumb that it might mess up my computer? He says his self-installation.

Thanks a lot guys for all the help in advance. I REALLY APPRECIATE IT!

    Hello!

Search for this file on your HARD drive, then you have the path of this file, but if t can be found, reinstall the driver that you founded.
To do this, you must not start in safe mode. Remove the old driver files in Control Panel > add or remove programs, restart and install the driver.

On the sound of tck - tck, I can say that this results perhaps a faulty HARD drive. By controlling the Drive Fitness Test:

  • Blue screen after Microsoft Update

    Hi-
On Tuesday morning, 25/08/09, Microsoft began offering the KB973879 update.
It seems that some people get the bluescreens may be responsible for this update.
While this issue is being developed on, you can run a system restore.
Please read this document to learn how: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00807369
After doing a system restore, you don't want to reload the same update again, there are two ways to prevent reloading of this update.
One: go to the Windows update configuration and change to automatically install to the "ask me" option. Now, you will get manually choose which updates to install. Quite simply, do not choose to reinstall the KB973879 update.
Two: find the KB973879 update in the list. Right-click on it and choose 'Hide '.
In any event, you should be able to get your other updates and keep the computer
Remember that this is just a workaround.

Another good suggestion, I had to post that timnovak is less, BTW, it seems that Ms have disabled the update so you should be good updates made after you run the system restore or remove the update.

"I thank very you much for this information.  Saved to return the Pavilion dv7-2185dx that I bought yesterday.
As soon as I turned on the machine, I did the updates of Windows, as I always do and then a blue screen.
Spent many hours since last night trying to solve cela.
However, you are proposing to do a system restore and then reapply the updates that will take an hour or two, perhaps. can I suggest that instead do the following:
Click Control PanelClick on programs and FeaturesClick view installed updates on the left sideFind update you mentioned (just look at the article which was pointed out above).
    Click on uninstall
    Restart when prompted
It is essentially the same thing that has been mentioned above, but saves a lot of time.
Especially if it's a new computer and you have a lot of updates like me.
Anyway, thanks again for the information display.  It was a huge help! »

I have to leave my computer on to avoid having to turn it off with the power off button.  Otherwise, I have to turn on & off with the power button.  When I do that he will go to start windows normally or delete files and go to the system restore.
