Blue screen error 0x0000007F When using Windows Media Player

original title: need help w/video

my hp Pavilion a1240n crashed to the point that I had to replace the hard drive and reinstall windows xp, then go to 7.  After 2 1/2 weeks of the trial, I am still unable to play a dvd, or get a video game to play.  If anyone can help me, chk the specifications of what I have and give me some options on what I can try.  The last time I tried WMP, I received a stop message 0x0000007f blue screen.  Help!

A few quick to test things:

Test your memory with a memory tester. Something like http://www.memtest.org/ perhaps, or an equivalent.

Update your graphics card and sound card drivers to the latest W7 drivers available at HP for your PC.

As test, download and install (free) VLC. Can do this reading of videos? In a first time, as this is just a test, do not let 'take over' as a default player until / unless you're happy with it. Just manually open a video with her.

If you look in what is your WEI score and the base system in detail, i.e. amount of version W7 ram, CPU, and what is your GPU card?

original title: blue screen error when you use the system disk to restore with new hard drive

I bought a new hard drive to my computer because the old one gave me a bunch of error messages on screen blues. I installed in the tower and tried to use my restore and system recovery disks that the manufacturer has given me, the process has got to the last disk then asked for the system once again restore disc, and then began to load the last steps and went to blue screen error. I don't know what to do, I mean it's a whole new drive hard, so where could the error come, theres nothing on the hard drive because I have not yet used really, yet. Help, please

I have finally fixed the problem myself. The problem was that one of the sticks three memory was bad and the only way I could test this error. I took two sticks a left, used disks I had and was able to restore my computer, then I put a stick, turned on the computer, had no errors so I let him, so I put the last stick in and com immediately on, I had the Disconnections: memory management and that's when I knew that the last stick of memory was bad I took it back and now my computer works well and I can't buy more memory for not too. So if someone gets this BOSD error on memory, I'd say 8/10 computers have bad memory (not a number). If youcannot run the tool of diagnosis of memory like me then I would suggest to do what I did with the trial and error, it was the only way to understand the problem. Thanks for your help

Put all my music on an external hard drive.  Meticulously organized all the metadata on my Windows XP PC WMP (version 11) and my window 7 PC WMP (version 12).  Now, I get an "access denied" message for my music folder on my XP machine.  The new WMP restricted me to access this folder on all, but my Windows 7 box?  I take my external hard drive from room to room (study, gameroom,...) so I can listen to my music wherever I go in my house.  Should what changes I make to allow me to listen to my music on my different computers?

MGTEK is a convenient way to sync iPod/touch etc by using WMP. Its a plug-in. She avoids you having to use iTunes...!

Just UN-installing it, re-boot, then re - install it should work. Otherwise, you will need to manually reset/clear your library in WMP.

You can safetly remove temporary files.

  • Cannot flow of WQXR using Windows Media Player 12

Original title: the Streaming of WQXR

    Using Windows Media Player 12

Recently, using WMP in flow of WQXR, the player will stop after 19 seconds approximately.  Is my problem or the problem of WQXR?

    Hello

Do you have an error message when the Windows Media Player stops?

Try to stream from another Web site and check.

If the issue is not persistent. Then, the problem is with WQXR.

In addition, check with another player out of Windows Media Player. If the other player is also not able to broadcast from WQXR, then you must contact the WQXR support for assistance.

    Hello

I have no sound through Windows Media Player and also a player from Youtube and BBCi.  I have the following error message, please notify :-)

You met the C00D10D1 error message when you use Windows Media Player. The following information can help you resolve the problem.

    Codec is missing

Windows Media Player cannot play the file (or can't play the part of the file either audio or video) because theMP3 - codec MPEG Layer III (55) is not installed on your computer.

The missing codec may be available for download on the Internet. For more information about codecs, seeCodecs: frequently asked questions.

    Hello

    1. What is the file type or extension that you try to play?

If you get a message stating that your computer is missing a codec, you are probably trying to play, burn, or sync a file that was compressed by using a codec that does not include Windows or the default player. You will need to download codecs.

    Hello

Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

I suggest you try these methods and check the status of the issue.

    Method 1:

Keep the computer in a clean boot and check the status of the issue. If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem. Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service. After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.
