  Hi all

  just got my qosmio G10-137 earlier this week after being under repair since the beginning of the month of January! Guys made the repair found no better then install the Dutch version of the operating system. I don't like this, then I took out my recovery CD and began the recovery. Everything works fine and I am asked to remove the media and reboot my PC.

  This beautiful laptop to start early and... Blue screen of death. Restarts, wonder how to restart... count up to normal reboot... BSOD... restarts, wonder how... I choose "Safe Mode"... BSOD... I choose the mode safe mode with prompt... the system.ini file is missing!

  It seems that the recovery CD is bogus.

  If someone has encountered this? Does anyone have any resolution?

  It s very strange because the recovery CD was tested and install several times. It should work without any problems.
  I put t know where you come from, but the service partner should install the Windows operating system in the same language. In this case, if you bought the device in Dutch the recovery CD and the OS are in the Dutch language.
  Please note that you must use the same recovery CD that came with the device. Another recovery CD will not work.
  What you can do is to test the unit with an original CD of Microsoft Windows. It would be very interesting to know if the blue screen appears with the original Windows.

  My work machine is a Mini PC Z240 from HP. Last month, the machine began to hang randomly and display blue screen errors. There is not much in the way perceptible models, but it tends to happen when the machine is in use, rather than the idling, and I can reproduce it systematically using the constraint of Prime95 test utility. When I put it to maximize the heat of CPU, as soon as I stop the test, the screens of the blue machine, which indicates a cooling issue.

  Hello im hoping someone can help me with these problems I have. Well one day to start up my computer I is no longer boot into normal mode and having to use safe mode, the computer changes the display on its own and goes down to 16 bit color, when I restart my computer suspended unless I have start in safe mode and then other times I get the black screen saying I choose SafeMode shape etc. When I load secure form mode it starts right away and then I restart to return to normal mode it hooked to black screen, but if I'm not in safe mode it takes forever to initialize.   Hi all. Please help me with this one. The problem I have is this. After power on and loading windows of windows (the version of picture Toshiba) will crash after a few seconds with a blue screen. Windows reports that an ATI driver fell into an infinite loop and the computer stopped to avoid damage. I use the latest toshiba BIOS (1.9), ati drivers and chipset and I did a virus scan. I also tried to reinstall windows from the CD.
  What is strange is that after 2 or 3 restarts the computer works perfectly. No more reboots and not problems with the ati drivers. I even tried a few 3D games to be totally convinced. The problem is most obvious when the computer has been closed for a long time (hours or days). So maybe it's a thing of temperature.   Hi George,.

  I don't think overheating is the cause of your problem. It resembles a suspect hard drive. Usually after a period of inactivity the drive has problems reading of the driver file.

  You could try to reload the ATI driver (this should load the driver to a different location on your hard drive) and see if the problem persists.

  You disk defragmentation will not help because the drivers are usually installed in a non-transferable area of the player.

  I strongly recommend to take a safe backup of your user data at the earliest.

  I have a HP Dv7 6197 ca with the same card as you, then here is how you fix this problem: update your BIOS to the latest version, and then in the BIOS screen (press ESC, then select the Bios Setup) and change the setting for the Graphics Mode fixed to Dynamics. This should solve your problem. If you can't find this option in the BIOS update, then try the UBR tool in the installer of UNIFIL. I suggest try F840 and F940 values.

  If the resolution is all wonky after you go into the BIOS, you will need to re - install the drivers.

  2. What is the number of brand and model of the computer?

  The BIOS (Basic Input Output System) settings are different for each computer according to the manufacturer of the computer. To make changes on BIOS settings or options, you may need to contact the manufacturer of the computer.

  Note: Changing the BIOS / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

  However if you are able to start the computer normally, I suggest you to Zip or download the content of the C:\Windows\minidump

  I don't know when it happened... apparently, after one of the windows updates because it worked very well, a month or two ago... anyway, here's my problem. A month ago I got the Sims 3 World Adeventures. I installed it and he played wonderfully. I went to check my graphics settings - the resolution is set in 1920 x 1080 monitor shows a built-in display. I thought that maybe the resolution was causing problems because the Sims 3 do not like this high middle (I never changed it and the game worked before but I thought of one another program may have) when I put the lower resolution and hit apply I had the same changes in strange black on white, etc.. Yet once again, I had to alt tab out... it took forever to do, and my resolution had not changed.  Everything else seems to work fine... my browser and other... I can play some Facebook games and it seems pretty much any game that starts in a window / windowed mode. I changed the settings on the Sims 3 to play in windowed mode and it starts very well (I HATE the windowed mode tho) I decided to do some research and see if I could find a solution later and decided to go play another game, (one of the verizon games I had played before without problem) and he did the same thing as Sims 3 dang. It is a demand pretty weak game graphics-wise (his Poppit to go - even my old laptop can play it.) so having unplayable all of a sudden he had me beat. Color changes look almost like a kind of graphical test. Hope I have not confused LOL thanks everybody for any help.

  I have a reversible temporary solution of 10 steps for this problem, im also using a race of z5600 acer windows 7 and when I try to run anything that changes the resolution of the screen the screen turns black and flashes different colors is a way around this, but you will not be able to use the full screen , and when your done with the game or whatever you will be able to use the full screen new heres how

  1. start

  2 right click computer

  3. click on properties

  4. click on Device Manager

  5. If Conrtol user account appears, click Yes

  6. click on the tab display cards

  7. right click Intel G45/43 Express Chipset

  8. click on turn off

  9. now the display begins to blink and you'll notice that sub-par signifigantly window, you only 3 options for screen resolution size but most of the games will take place and you will be able to see

  10. to make the fullscreen back you will need to follow the same steps as above, then click Activate

  In the recovery menu, select Safe mode and check if you can connect?

  You can also try to restore the system in safe mode.

  Out of the blue today, my Windows XP installation had its color depth and screen resolution back to the lowest setting and whenever I try to update it refuses to put up-to-date.

  Hello pmb222: this can help until an HP expert can answer you back. I'm just a Toucsmart computer user. Click on help and support next to your program from the right list under default programs. During the opening type on the blue screen error in the search box. The next window will say resolution stop (blue screen) errors in Windows 7 there are given several options to help solve the problem. You already know that this is not a hardware problem. So that makes it easier to fix.  Read it, so most likely you will have to restore back at an early stage as long as it's software problem.   Error code KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR STOP: 0x0000007A indicates that the data page of the kernel of the required paging file could not be read into memory. It seems that there are some problems with the hard drive.

  Use the check disk command for all errors on the hard drive.

  Warning: We recommend not to interrupt the CHKDSK process. Microsoft does not guarantee the integrity of the disk if the CHKDSK program is interrupted. Security, you can back up your data before using check disk drive.
