blue screen saying turn off caching shadowing in bios then restart... is the answer from the bios
Moved from feedback
original title: blue screen
Hi Michaeljonesvo,
To provide the proper resolution, I would need more information on your side.
1. which version of the operating system are you using?
2. What is the number of brand and model of the computer?
The BIOS (Basic Input Output System) settings are different for each computer according to the manufacturer of the computer. To make changes on BIOS settings or options, you may need to contact the manufacturer of the computer.
Note: Changing the BIOS / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.
However if you are able to start the computer normally, I suggest you to Zip or download the content of the C:\Windows\minidump
See the article for more information about how to download files using SkyDrive.
Use SkyDrive download collected files and after shot/screenshot.

Whenever I'm playing games such as sometime V or even just browse the internet or Watch youtube my computer hangs and has a blue screen saying kernel security check failure and my pc restarts. She often does. Is there a way to fix this?
KH
First of all, you need to upgrade to win 8.1 as in itself, it may solve the problem
These related to the MRVW24C.sys Device driver for Marvell NIC of Marvell Semiconductor 802.11n your 2007
Completely, remove the current (or software) driver and install the latest driver available. For instructions on how to do read everything to update the drivers of my partner JMH3143 http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki/windows_other-hardware/updating-a-driver/a5e6345e-af9b-4099-bef0-8d22254aa1c1?tm=1436753520149 here

Hello
Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.
The DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error usually occurs after the installation of the faulty device driver or service system, BIOS.
If you encounter a bug 0xA control during the upgrade to a later version of Windows, this error can be caused by a device driver, system service, an anti-virus or a backup tool that is not compatible with the new version.
To help you suggest several steps to solve the problem, I would appreciate if you could answer the following questions:
Did you just install a new program or a piece of hardware, update a driver, install an update, etc. ?
You get the error message? Please provide the exact error message / error code.
I suggest you try using the methods below and check if it can help solve the problem.
Method 1: Run the Safe Mode and perform a clean boot
Step 1: Safe Mode. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and services. Start your operating system in this way and see if the problem appears.
Start the computer in safe mode with network and check if the problem persists. Follow these steps to start the computer in safe mode.
Click on the link and follow the steps in Start parameters of Windows (including safe mode)
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows-8/Windows-startup-settings-including-safe-mode
If the problem does not exist in safe mode, try to perform a clean boot and check.
Step 2: Perform the clean boot.
Reference: How to perform a clean boot in Windows
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: After troubleshooting, consult this section «How to reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting»
If the problem persists I suggest you follow method 2
Method 2:
Resolution of errors blue screen in Windows
Reference: http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/resolve-Windows-blue-screen-errors
IMPORTANT: When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.
Also check your installed programs. If you see something that you have not installed and is not part of Windows, use the Remove Programs option.
Hope this information is useful. Please let us know if you need help with Windows.
Thank you

> I am running on the assumption that A = Australia & E = Europe.
> Can anyone clarify this for me.You are right that the last digit or the letter designates the region. Then E means Europe and Australian way.
It s an Australian series for Toshiba laptop and, therefore, you need to download the drivers from Toshiba Australian page
The BSOD may be a result of not fully compatible drivers

Choose one of these settings:
Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.
Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.
