Blue screen when you insert the DVD - M40X

Hello
I have a new computer laptop toshiba satellite M40x-183. (with DVD super multi)
After ten days of buying it, I found a problem when playing some DVD and CD, when I insert the dvd I got a blue screen saying... There is an error and windows can stop harmful to your pc and I have to contact the support then start dumping from 100% to 0%...
I have tried the dvd in many other dvd players and it works perfectly. Team support here told me that this type of dvd player are unable to process this format how it happens so that older toshiba and other laptop brands can do!
Is there a solution to this?

Hello

Well, as the support service team say that the DVD player is not able to read this format.
But I can't give you a good answer why it s not possible to play this DVD. It s a simple fact that there are many DVD and CD formats on the market and number of readers is not able to play some formats.
Have you tried to play burn DVDs? I recommend you to test the DVD from other manufacturers. I use TDKs and it works correctly.

Good bye

Usually, when we see problems during shutdown, the cause is something that loads at startup.

To this end, I would recommend mode startup minimum troubleshooting as seen in the following articles:

  • Blue screen when you perform the search for live TV in Windows Media Center on the new Lenovo A700

I just got my new Lenovo IdeaCenter A700 yesterday and have been busy setting up.  The computer is equipped with a built-in TV Tuner and I tried to put in place the TV on it so I could watch TV on my computer.  I have RCN for cable and a cable TV that gets first plugged into the decoder and then I plug the cable to the TV - so I just plugged this cable on my computer instead of the TV.

I used the following Web site to set up using Windows Media Center - http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/9166/learning-windows-7-setup-live-tv-in-windows-media-center/.  After that I put in my zip code he sought the power of the signal or something and then I got a blue screen.  To restart the computer the information below has been MS. error message This happened to me twice.

Anyone know how to fix this? Or otherwise, I just want to use my computer to watch TV on, and if I can do this other method other than Windows Media Center free I am happy to do.

Please let me know if you need more information.

This seems to be resolved now... it was maybe an update of windows, like when I rebooted my machine it updated automatically and after that he worked all of a sudden!

Anyway, now it shows a black screen and no sound for all channels, but that is a different problem... and I'll look in to that.

  • Blue screen when you use the CD/DVD on Satellite L30-105 player

I have a Satellite L30-105. Recently when using the CD/DVD drive, it began to crash (blue screen) after playing a DVD-video or a music CD.
Either way, I seem to only get playback of DVD-video and not the main sound track. Does anyone have an idea what may cause these errors.

    Hello

To my knowledge, the blue screen starts if there is a serious software problem or if some of the equipment is malfunctioning.
I put t believe that this blue screen error message can be caused by a defective CD/DVD drive.

Hmm, according to your message and you can not hear the main sound and cannot read music CDs, I think that this problem could be linked to the sound card.

In the first case I recommend updating the audio driver. If this does not help, try to recover the laptop with the supplied recovery CD and check if the same thing always happens on the new BONES recovered. (Don t install any 3rd party application).

    Good luck

    Hello

It's my generic how updates of appropriate driver: (update your video/display driver).

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your
System. For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address
of the driver, description, version, product name, company that created the driver, and
    more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

To check system drivers manufacturer as replacements and camera manufacturer who are most
current. Control Panel - device - Display Adapter Manager - note the brand and
fill out the template tab of the driver for your card video - double-click - write down the
the version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind
certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver
    stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd
evening with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers you have.

Now, go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration), and then
Site of the manufacturer of the device (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions.
(Review of the BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system while there).

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT
    After each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you install
actually arises. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed
(particularly that audio drivers) so install a driver - reboot - check is to be sure
    installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
the correct registry entries for your car.

Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
    the parameters.

  • M40X-141: black screen when you use the WiFi network

Since I bought my M40X 141 in July 2005, I got black screen frequently when you use the wifi.

You know this black screen with typical noise from the hard drive.

I did all the updates without effect. The local seller understood nothing black screen, associated with the use of wifi.

In the XP world, nobody seems to find this kind of abnormal things so I'm desperate to find a solution to stop the frequent black screens. Recently try a usb dlink wifi dongle (dwl-G122) the constant flow of black screens disappeared
(An Xp session 10 days was previously impossible).

Now, I know this is a bug in the original software and I try desespartely to find a patch or updated driver or professional advice.

Is there someone here who can help a tired multi restart man to use his laptop with the original material?

Your laptop should still be guaranteed if you bought in June 2005. Take it to your authorized Service Provider nearest and have their say. They should already provide for a procedure for this and know what to do. Sure the frequency that uses WIFI and display inverter coincides, and you get the black screen. Change them should fix this problem.

This is after you have inserted a card high capacity in the player, which hung the memory slot.  Now just insert a regular memory card, the dialog box appears, but there is nothing in it.

Sorry if the info seems confused but maybe the
    answer is here somewhere.

FWIW... There used a similar problem with a Sony memory

Restart the computer... somehow this would reset the
stick.  I don't know if it will work for you.

You may also check your AutoPlay settings...
If you insert the card and go to... Start / my computer...
and right-click on the drive letter for the location of in the map is...

It is possible that your media player is not compatible

Regarding the card... have regular SD, you tried to manually
    Download the pictures?

If you connect the device to your PC via a USB cable, turn
