BlueRay burner

Hello world

I want to add a blueray to my HP P6257 PC c drive.

I have an Athlon 2 X 4 620 processor and 8 GB of RAM.

Looked at the HP 12 X internal Blu - ray Disc Double layer DVD + or-RW/CD-RW Drive.

It would be better to remove the existing drive and replace it with the blu - ray player or can I just add it to the expansion of machines slot?

Everything works well and don't want to ruin things.

I appreciate any advice or a comment from someone who did this.

Thank you

Sam

Hi Sam,

Review these "how-to" HP articles.  Don't forget to buy for your new Blu - Ray player sata data cable.  The process to remove and replace is 30 minutes.

Your PC will accommodate both disks. If you do a replacement, then you will not have a sata data cable.

I installed this Blu-ray player in my old PC.  I have a HP Blu - Ray in another PC.

    Hello

Basically, he arrived at the stadium where I have so much data, 30/40 DVD backup is a pain (I don't want to go down the road of external hard drive).
I would like to replace HD-DVD-Rom of my X 200-219 a Blu Ray burner. For now, all I can find is the series Panasonic UJ - 2xx

I know that the UJ - 2 x 0 are loading in the status bar, and the UJ - 2 x 5 are loading slot. I wonder if one of these are compatible with the laptop, I read somewhere that they're not with Toshiba laptops

    Any suggestions?

I doubt that this would be not possible always is s not all ODD are compatible due to different master/slave/c-salt settings.
These parameters are controlled by the firmware, not rider as you can find on the STRANGE external for desktop PC.

Several months ago, I replaced my CD/DVD drive and I first called the ASP in my country to get additional information on compatible players.

Maybe you should do this too.

  • Qosmio G40 with HD - DVD burner against BlueRay

    This is my 1st post.

I just got my G40-127, and I wonder. Didn't the community of internatiolnal blow to HD - DVD on the sidewalk and go for Blue-Ray?

You is a way to get a Blue-Ray wrighter to my machine or has misunderstood this concept HD-DVD machines.

    Please set me straight. Any1.

Maybe you should take a look in this thread:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=34643

It is very interesting and useful publication created by Jeffrey.

The fact is that the CD/DVD drive in your G40 doesn t support only HD DVD but also to other formats. The ability of HD - DVD is only a part of this drive.
It is fully backward compatible and supports the standard DVD - RW SuperMulti (DL) too.
In addition, there are more than 800 movie titles available for the HD DVD format which can be played in G40.

In any case I didn t find any information on the availability of Blue ray discs in other Toshiba laptops. Who knows what will happen in the future

Strange - I was unable to find any info on this unit on the HP site!

  • Can't burn videos with creation of DVD on a DVD + RW disc

I have been regularly using the creation of Windows DVD for burning slide /videos. I had in the past burnt an a project with .jpg images in a collection of slides on a DVD + R disc. It plays perfectly on my drive Blueray. Recently, I tried to burn a backup copy of this project on a DVD + RW. However, he does not play on the computer, a standard disk drive or BD player. Players do not recognize the disc. I tried to erase the RW but it takes 15 to 20 minutes just to read the disc, the drive keeps light glisten constantly and says that the disc is erased but when I re - save the project, the result is the same as before.
I tried to reformat the drive. When I click with the right button on the drive and click on format it again takes forever and a training constant light flashing. The format window options are gray and do not respond to orders
Thanks for any idea as to what is happening and what I can do to fix the hang ups I get.

It is possible that the DVD + RW rewritable is the problem.
Some hardware is not fully compatible with them.

Personally, I did not have much success with DVD rewritable.
Verbatim DVD-R DVD have been reliable for me.

When I need a copy of a home made DVD I create an ISO
Image file... so I can quickly burn as many copies as I need
without loss of time to re-encoding of the project for each
    copy.

First... just a suggestion... using a slow burn speed
    produces a more reliable copy...

The freeware ImgBurn can create an ISO Image
that allows to burn copies. Once you have the
image created... you can use it to burn as many copies
    as you need.

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

Ignore most of the download buttons and click to the left of the
green circle with the white arrow... He says...

    Download ImgBurn:

    (The download is: SetupImgBurn_2.5.7.0.exe)

(During the installation there will be an option to install
Shortcuts of UniBlue and the "Ask Toolbar"... you can
    you want to deselect those)

  • No Blue Ray in CS4 Media encode or burn to disc in Encore

    Hello everyone.

I use CS4 on Vista 64 Dual AMD @ 3.0 with memory of 8 GB and 4 x WD 750 gig HD on Raid 1

    ATI 4890

I had burned previously several Mpeg2 BluRay discs with menus and now have lost this ability, it seems.

I have had some problems in the past and are reloaded Vista 64 as well as this time.

The enocder of media stops almost immediately after Quebec with an exclaimation point

on the file trying raw Mpeg2 BluRay or BluRay 264 mt2s conversion of the camera

    file from the hard drive.

Thus, after a change of files mt2s on the editor and export in still, it affecting everything up with a

menu etc. She to rendor a project until its time to write or burn, then I get an error about access

and an error code 12. I use a LG GGW - H20L BlueRay recorder/player. Who has a problem

do double layer writing with its latest firmware installed.

I would like to modify, menu and burn my files mt2s to BluRay, however after reading here

and other places recently, it seems that I need to Scenerist or something now to be able to reach

    This goal.

Something to change lately to remove what I did or what I can do?

I do only one or two blue beams of the same thing. I'm not reproducing the mass numbers of the same thing.

I would like to have the best image of the camera AVCHD output as engraved on a Blue Ray mt2s files

    Anyone have any ideas?

    With gratitude appreicated. Bob.

  • DVD burner

10.3.6 using I have a DVD with the video, I want to put it on my iMac, and then burn another DVD. I external drive and note that there are many "burn" command and the copy command, in the Finder, that they do not seem to work.

How to burn a DVD with video on iMac? No copy

    Good problem.

Is the video DVD, you have a commercial or one that you created yourself?  If it's a you have created yourself or not a commercial DVD put in the drive, launch utility disk, select the disk and create a disk image of it.  Put in a blank DVD disc and burn the disk for the disk image.

Follow this workflow to help ensure the best DVD video qualty:

Burn to disc with disk utility to the slowest speed (2 x - 4 x) in order to ensure the best quality burn.  Always use higher quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are recommended in these forums.

If the original disk is a commercial disk there DRM protection and you will not be able to copy it.

  • Burn DVDs with Imac 2015...

    Hello Forum,

I just updated my Imac 2011 and bought a newer Imac 2015 and I forgot it doesn't have a DVD/CD player.  Question I'm looking for recommendations on what to buy to be able to burn DVDs, play, DVD and CD.  I have customers who still use the DVD and need to burn and create menus that I am probably able to do with DVD Studio Pro?

    Thank you!

Apple sells an external USB optical drive specifically for use with models that do not come with an optical drive. You will find in the store.

  • Burn movie to DVD disc DVD5

    Hello

I have a movie file that is in the format DVD5

My computer is a MacBook Pro running Yosemite.

After I burn this movie to a DVD disc I can not play because it consists of many other files and they are not recognizable and etc.

I used the HandBreake converter that converted the movie in m4v format. After that, it wasn't a problem to burn and watch the movie.

My question: Mac has some utility or the trick that would burn DVD5 format directly to the disc and play without problem?

In other words: DVD5 file have I always convert first before burning?

    Thank you

As far as I can tell DVD5 is based on the amount of data on a DVD, nothing to do with the film format. In this regard, it's like you asking, "I have a word on a piece of paper, how I put on a piece of paper?

Most likely your film is in a video DVD format. Open with a DVD player.  There is no conversion utilities that are native to the Mac, since with the exception of the home videos just about every movie conversion involves an illegal measure.

  • Burn a disc to 1080 50 p

I imported and edited a film in 1980 x 1080 50 p. How can I burn to a disc in this resolution? It is a short, and if I try to burn it as a BluRay to DVD does it automatically at a resolution of 720. When I used film to 25i, it allowed the 1080 resolution most important.

toast, or a compressor do? And I would need a separate BluRay burner, or I would be able to do as a BluRay to DVD?

Or, after getting to 50 p, can I reduce to 25 and burn it to 1080?

I burn some kind of record for a film club showing, but I want to make the best possible record.

I have just FCPX. IF I don't want to spend the extra money on programs and burners, I better stick to 25i or p for the filming of the future?

The Blu - ray specification does not support the 50 p or p 59.94 HD, only in 4K.

  • Measure calories burned when using drive

    Hello

The question I have is will be your Apple Watch measure speed of combustion of different calories for the same distance at the same time, when to do using workout app as opposed to not use the app to drive?

The reason for the question is that I read by using the training app, Apple Watch switches on the relevant sensors. Does this mean that these other motion detectors are normally off and if that affect the accuracy of the measure of calories burned during exercise?

    Concerning

    Hello

Yes - followed by an open-air market, for example, through the training app can result in a more accurate estimate of your active Calories burned during this activity.

When follow you an activity using the application of the training session and specify a type of activity, your watch uses the most appropriate sensors and data sources to estimate the outcome of this workout.

For example, when you save an open air market:

    • If you also take your iPhone along (with compatible Bluetooth and location Services), your watch can access the GPS of the iPhone data when estimating the PACE and distance.
    • If you do not take your iPhone along, the watch relies on data from the accelerometer in the estimate of the PACE and distance.
    • Data from the heart rate sensor is used during the estimation of the Active Calories, including calculations which are adapted to this type of activity specified.

Calibrate your watch also helps to improve the accuracy of the different estimates made by the activity and workout app app. More information and instructions for calibration of your watch (including to reset all calibration data) are available via the link below. Estimates of the results will also depend on your personal information. To verify that this is correct - and update over time:

    • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: My Watch tab > health > edit - tap and adjust the settings, then press on in fact.
