  • Since I use 'Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000' with separate numeric keypad, I can't use the ASCI codes.

Original title: ASCI codes with separate numeric keypad.

    Hi all

Since I use 'Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000' with separate numeric keypad I can't use codes ASCI. Y at - it software or setting, which allows to manage this?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello Stephen,

I have another, better solution now (hint of a colleague): I changed the code of the NumLock key to the ALT key code (I need not the normal function of the NumLock key). Now, I can type ASCI codes with the keys on the keypad num only and it works :-).

You can change codes for keys in the registry. Unfortunately, I have only a German description for this in Windows XP (http://www.computerhilfen.de/hilfen-5-80753-0.html). But I am sure, there will be English descriptions in the web as well.

    Best regards

  • Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000 will not close pairing mode

    Win 7 HP SP1 x 64

I used to have the keyboard work. Had to do a system restore and reinstall Windows. Now, it does not work. It can associate and work on my iPod Touch.

It is recognized in the devices, but it is not pairing mode and red & green light keeps blinking. The keyboard does not work in any application.

I replaced the batteries with new ones.

HID in the service is set to automatic.

Bluetooth Support Service is set to automatic and logon is set to local Services with a password. It didn't get recognized with local network service or Local System.

In Bluetooth settings, discovery, allow Bluetooth devices to find this computer is activated. It did not work with it not controlled, either. Connections to allow and alert checked.

Printers and IDevices recognizes it as a "Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000." In properties, general tab, it's all the "not available" with the exception of "categories: keyboard." Hardware tab is empty. Services tab is empty. Bluetooth tab, information device, all the "not available" except "Categories: keyboard" and "Transport: Bluetooth.» Said troubleshooting information:

I have read the documentation that Tech in this forum have given links, through their steps with no fix.

    Can you please help?

    Found my own answer.

It was just a matter of installing the Bluetooth drivers. When I looked at a list of all software installed on my computer before I reinstalled Windows, I noticed on the list produced by ccleaner a "Broadcom 2070 Bluetooth 3.0" listed. I went to my website (HP) manufacturer and who downloaded, installed and bingo! my keyboard now works.

Update of the HP system didn't detect or tell me that I needed.

You must visit the site Microsoft.com/hardware with windows 7, as that the keypad does not display windows 8.    Then you can install it on windows 8.

  • My Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 5000 stagnates and stops working intermittently

I have a Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 5000 running 64-bit Windows 7 Pro SP1. When it works, it's great, and I like the compact design and wireless. But in the last few months, I noticed a few problems which become quite annoying:

    1. When I'm editing, the keyboard seems often slow to react. For example, I often use combinations of keys such as Ctrl + C or Ctrl + X, and it's as if the keyboard does not have the CTRL key immediately, so I find myself by typing 'C' or 'X' on my choice. If I click Cancel and try again, it usually works after that. Or I'll click on an input field and start typing and it takes 1 to 3 seconds for the text to appear, but it usually everything happens, is not as if the keyboard is in decline in strikes, but just a delay. It's almost like the keyboard has a period of awakening to send data. It doesn't seem to be a way to control or override this behavior. And we don't mean to be away from the keyboard for hours or anything like that; Instead, it's time to switch between windows.
    2. At least once a day, just a keyboard unresponsive altogether. When this happens, I can go into my Bluetooth settings, remove the device, press the Connect button on the back of the keyboard to set pairing mode again (or usually it comes automatically drops back in pairing mode when I delete) and then plug it in again. He sails right through matching and starts working again... until the next time it stops. There seems not to be a lot of consistency to when this happens, but this is often when my boss stops by my office and asked me to show him something. Needless to say, not the best time for the elegant Bluetooth keyboard go toots upward.

The keyboard said it was MFG. 12/11, is less than 1 year old. Do I need better drivers? Can anyone recommend a troubleshooting step I've overlooked? The keyboard is damaged? I can send it to Microsoft for repair or diagnosis? Do I use? Thanks for any advice you can offer.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Can I use a Microsoft Bluetooth mobile keyboard 5000 with my blackberry bold 9900 phone?

I was wondering if I can use a keyboard microsoft bluetooth mobile keyboard 5000 with my Blackberry Bold 9900 phone?  When I go to the pair, the phone finds the Microsoft keyboard, but he asks me a key digital authentication, then for an alphanumeric password.

Keyboard manual says that if you are asked an authentication key, let the program create, but my Blackberry does not create anything, he's looking for the authentication key.

It is a company phone.  Should I contact my COMPUTER tech support to see if they can shed some light on this or did someone here knows what I can do to remedy this?

Or am I wrong in assuming that I can use the mobile keyboard with Blackberry?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Jon

That the keyboard does not support the Bluetooth HID profile.  BlackBerry requires Bluetooth SPP profile.

  • Key ESC Office keyboard does not work on desktop running Windows 7 Pro 64 x

Key ESC Office keyboard does not work on desktop running Windows 7 Pro 64 x

Now, it's a boring, which several other users have reported under different threads. Because I couldn't find a post with quite similar symptoms, I made my own topic.

I am running Windows 7 Professional 64 x on an old one (Intel Quad-Core, 4 GB RAM, 524 GB HDD - in case, for reasons unknown to me, someone needs to know it...) , DellXPS system. Not more than a few weeks ago my home button keyboard unresponsive on this system.

I did a lot of troubleshooting, but these measures have been carried out:
    * Tested keyboard on the other system, touch ESC WORKS on the other system
    * Reinstalled keyboard and USB drivers on the XPS system, ESC key does NOT WORK on the XPS system
    * Connected to a never-before-used USB keyboard, ESC key does NOT WORK on the XPS system
    * Opened and cleaned the keyboard, tested, Escape key WORKS, Don't DO NOT WORK on the XPS system
    * Tested in various applications: Desktop (Esc will close the start menu), Photoshop, Vegas, Notepad, games full screen OpenGL,Escape key does NOT WORK on the XPS system
    * Google for possible solutions, none found...

Note: Highlights show where the ESC key does not work. I am troubled by the XPS system.

In case you missed it my list of troubleshooting steps, the ESC key works on another computer of Windows 7 system.

I have to still garble my self through the registry in the hope that someone might have an idea of the steps to follow before I lose a day to see the things that I honestly know squat. Please help if you can; What could be the issue/common application that separates this key in the Windows world and how could I solve this problem?

    Thank you in advance!

    For reference,.
No major changes have been made since the keyboard unresponsive with the exception of:
Updates to FireFox (including modules Ad-Block Plus, NoScript, which have also been updated).
    Windows Update
A 10.x MB World of Warcraft patch/update on a keyboard AFTER week unresponsive

Already installed the patches StarCraft II and World of Warcraft, which none touched my keyboard to my knowledge. I finished almost all of StarCraft II and had no problems...

I know it's a bit old, but I was living the question myself.  Thought I had found the problem and it was fixed but then it happened again.  Came to find out (by closing a program and test the ESC key) it's because Photoshop.

With the help of Photoshop, which could match the case you mention.  Not only that but I did a search ('ESC' does not not Photoshop) and stumbled on some answers/solutions workaround for it.  One is to use SHIFT + ESC ESC does not work.

Hope this helps someone.  I fell it using my original research ("Windows 7" BSE "ESC" keyboard does not) and know that others are likely to see.  If you have not already learn the cause, in the year + since your original message, then voila.

  • Microsoft MultiMedia 1.1 wireless keyboard does not work - Windows 7 64 bit

Keyboard does not work.  Does not enter any data.  Battery is good, the wireless signal is good.  Tested on another computer and does not work there either.  Tried to uninstall, reinstall and checked for driver updates. Original installation disk is incompatible with Windows 7.  Message says device is working, but the keyboard is "dead."

    Appreciate the suggestions, pls.  TX

Not a good sign that it does not work on another computer. Go to control panel > devices and printers. If the keyboard doesn't appear as an installed device, think of it as dead and buried.

Windows identifies devices of small IC boards inside the devices and guess they are ok. Windows cannot do is determine if the keyboard membrane makes contact with the small IC Board...
