Bluetooth mouse Microsoft disconnects randomly.

Vista Ultimate 64-bit. Laptop HP HDX with Bluetooth / wireless card.  The MS 5000 Bluetooth Mouse mouse log and will not reconnect after slowing for a hour or two. Back to zero is to reconnect the mouse BT.

Cycling the power on the mouse does not help, the cycling switch on the bluetooth card Wireless does not help. Purchased and installed BlueSoleil and it does not help. Disable and enable the driver software has no effect.

Yes, the first thing that I tried has new batteries and have done so several times. I called Microsoft and they sent me a new Notebook 5000 BT mouse and it is exactly the same thing, it disconnects after being idle for an hour or two. The power settings for my lap top are defined to keep the wireless / bluetooth on at all time and without stopping to save energy or at any other time. Wireless Internett works all the time and never turned off, even when the BT mouse does not work.

The only thing that works is to restart. Then, the Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse works contains 5000 embellish until it disconnects.

Maybe I don't understand the use a BT mouse? Shouldn't it reconnect automatically after setting the idle, by simply moving the mouse? Everything I tried should not be necessary... wight?

BTW, the first thing out of the mouth of the man, that I spoke to on the phone line to support MS was that XP is easy to use and VISTA was not!  THE FIRST THING SAID, WITH a SUPPORT of MS TECHNICIAN! He's the guy who sent me the new BT 5000 mouse that does the same thing as the old mouse.

It should work absolutely not.  There are a few more things to discover.  Have you tried both by clicking and moving the mouse buttons when you try to reconnect?  Experiment a bit with one or the other.

Then see if disabling power on the Bluetooth radio management help.  Open the Device Manager, expand Bluetooth devices, find the device Bluetooth (not the enumerator), right-click on properties and go to the power management tab, if it exists.  Uncheck the box "Allow the computer to turn off the device to save power" to see if this changes the behavior at all.

Thank you!

  • Grave at random out on Aspire S7-191 Bluetooth mouse - I may have found the solution!

I think I have found a fix for this problem and I wanted to share:

    1. stick with the installed OEM drivers.  Bluetooth and the wireless driver updates did nothing trouble with both of these services.  I made an update of the recovery key USB that I created and that he accepted no updates drivers wireless or bluetooth. I noticed that they are up to version xxx.234 today and I think it was xxxx.217 that I installed.

    2. go to Manager (Advanced) in the power of control device and power management and uncheck all the options 'allow the computer to turn off this device' in the tabs for each bluetooth and wireless device power management and each hub USB in Device Manager.  Do it on each power management tab, you can find.  In power in the control panel settings go to advanced and set wireless to "Maximum performance on the power supply AC and battery."

After doing this, my wireless signal was very strong and never lost a connection.  However, the bluetooth mouse would still randomly disconnect.  The fix for this is to go to the arrow upwards to the hidden icons in the tray and right click on the Bluetooth setting icon and select 'display settings '.  Make sure that 'Discovery' is enabled for bluetooth devices to search for the computer.  Mine was off by default for security reasons.  Finally, go back to the Manager under the mouse devices and other pointing devices > HID compatible mouse and make sure they all have the box checked to wake the computer. Once I did, the first movement of the mouse to wake up the bluetooth service and I don't have to keep resetting.

Note: I normally use a mouse from Samsung, but worked also for the Acer mouse included.

I answer my own original message:

I've recently updated Windows 8 to 8.1 Windows.  As part of the update, I've updated the drivers for bluetooth/wireless LAN. This resets everything back to default and I started having the Bluetooth and wireless issues once again.  Mouse Bluetooth stall and and iffy WiFi.  Person not convertible in a decent set of drivers for this card?

Anyway, if you do a bit of work you can do much more reliable:

    1. go in the bluetooth device settings and let "the bluetooth devices to find this computer.

    2. go into Device Manager > network adapters > Qualcomm Atheros xxxx > properties > Power Management

and uncheck the box "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power", then go to "advancedtab and together 'very high' roaming policy.»

    3. go into Device Manager > Human Interface devices.  There is a long list of HID compatible devices.  Right click on each one and if there is a power management tab, make sure that the computer is unable to turn off the device to save energy and conversely, let the device to wake the computer if it is an option.

4 do the same for "mice and other pointing devices and Bus USB controllers in Device Manager.  Again, do a right click and any element that has a power management tab must be changed to either do not allow the computer to turn off the device, or to allow the device to wake the computer according to the given option.

I guess that power management is a wonderful thing... but only in theory.

In reality, it's a major PITA with this card and others - but jumping through these hoops has solved the problem.  I am now rocking the long and had not yet BT or drops wireless and it used to happen about every 5 minutes.

  • Mac Pro RAM, Audio, Bluetooth mouse problems

I recently bought an Apple factory refurbished Mac Pro (end 2013) and replaced the three-chip RAM of 4 GB with 16 GB of Crucial two chips. Everything was great for the first two weeks. Then I started having a strange audio problem. Audio would become suddenly agitated. I disconnected and reconnected the speaker output and it would start working again. Finally, unplug the unit and plug the unit has stopped working (audio would eventually just stop working completely... zero sound with or without the speaker plugged in...) and I had to restart the computer.

Then one day I noticed that only 16 GB of RAM showed up (I run own memory, so he's in my toolbar). I opened the machine and moved the two chips on the other side and when I rebooted, I got 32GB again.

Then I noticed that when the audio problem came once again (he seems to be after the computer has been for a few hours or more) my Apple bluetooth mouse would disconnect and reconnect intermittently... ONLY when the audio starts to get restless again.

I zapped the PRAM several times and now I get the 32 GB of RAM only after disconnecting the chips and MOVING them to another location, but not all the time. The audio port will begin to spoil, I reboot and I'm back to 16 GB.

So, is it bad RAM? I removed a single chip and the audio problem still happens.

Anyone have this problem? Apple Care suggested I bring it in the Apple Store, but I thought that I ask here before go this road, just in case there is a known issue.

    Thank you!!

To establish if it is a RAM problem, remove 16Bb sticks and replace the original 4 GB sticks.

  • Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse with my Satellite A60-122 issue

    Hi there;
I'm a new user in this forum and this is my situation:

I bought a Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer with a USB Bluetooth adapter. When I plug the Bluetooth adapter to one of my four USB ports, bluetooth connection seems fine. However, I can't work with my new mouse. I have try all this on a Mac computer and mouse everything goes perfectly. I have not yet installed the driver! I don't know what is happening. I had installed the driver several times and it seems OK. DC when I search the mouse over the icon of bluetooth device, I see him there. However, the mouse does not work and when I open again the icon of bluetooth device, I can't see the connection bluetooth mouse more.

My question was already posted by Sorin11 (08.12.05), and I would like to know if today, hopefully there is a solution to this problem of bluetooth.

    Thank you
    Antonio

    Hello

Well, the Satellite A60-122 has no Bluetooth. In this case, you will need to use the 3rd Bluetooth driver and the device.
In addition, the Mac has a completely different operating system and you can not compare the two devices.
Unfortunately, I can't give you a correct answer, why this problem occurs. You should check if you are using the correct drivers. You should especially drivers for Windows OS.
In my opinion, you should ask the manufacturers of the ItelliMouse for the support.

  • The mouse continues to disconnect randomly

    span / / p
With the help of OS Vist, my husbands mouse continues to disconnect randomly.  He has reinstalled the drivers, did the computer repair.  He changed the mouse to a new with the same result.  It has also changed the cables autour and she always does on other ports.  It seems to be a problem with OS rather than material.

Problem solved (for me). Resolution-Wrecked TWO mice! Bought again the machine and we like that. I will never use two mouse at the new!

    Question answer.
Operating system: Win7. (Even if the previous user, the question was under Vista).
    Question started: yesterday. 23 / Feb / 2010.

Hello, my name is Royce, I have a problem with my mouse on Windows 7.

Question: The mouse turns off randomly, I hear the device disconnect sound, then the sound of connection device. It disconnects all all three to six seconds, and the mouse power light turns off during this disconnect. I suspect my internal USB Hub is powered off, but do not.

Cause: I had two mouse plugged in at the same time, so a friend can have control of the screen with me. In a few minutes, this problem started.

Tried to fix it: I uninstalled the mouse driver, tried different ports, updated windows, different mice, taken the battery out of the motherboard, reset the bios and even entered in DeviceManager and ensured that all usb hubs do NOT go to power saving mode. I don't know what else to try, but then again I'm not all that known with Win7.

When you first start my PC, the mouse will be OK for about 20 seconds, then the problem is getting worse and worse. If I don't move my mouse, I don't hear the disconnect sound, but it is perhaps more than that.

When the mouse goes off, I think I can use my keyboard. The CapsLock light is wrong, so I suspect that the keyboard does not meet this problem. Oh, and all of my devices are USB2, so it's all modern. My PC is new, built the House. It's a machine fast quad core with a lot of power to the usb2.

    Help, please!
