BluRay drive

I have a lenovo with bluray player w701ds when I try to play a bluray movie I get unsupported message media. Help, please

If you buy your computer with bluray included I think mediaplayer software for reading that support of bluray will be included, as well, but not 100% sure. If you add bluray after buying the computer, you will need to purchase a mediaplayer for playback software. I suppose there might be a lot of different mediaplayers available, but here are some suggestions and each of them should have support bluray. Just make sure you choose the correct edition that support of bluray. He should have a trial available for all these except that the trial of WinDVD doesn't support bluray so if you want that WinDVD for bluray playback you will not be able to try before you buy.

    Hello::

See if you make the registry changes described in resolution steps 3 and 5 from the link below the job for you...

One of them should solve the problem.

  • The BluRay drive firmware - DV7-3173nr

I just got a replacement for my computer drive laptop dv7-3173nr and I put it in, and I can't get the right drivers for it. The exact command I ordered is the one

    http://www.mydvddrives.com/replacement-for-HP-Pavilion-dv7-3173nr-SATA-BD-ROM-Blu-ray-combo-drive-13...

He said it is impossible to install the driver, and the Drivers of HP section doesn't seem to have what I need.

Avoid the need for a driver. Windows simply needs to see the new device and if you put in a disc it installs with a drive letter. You have probably a superior and inferior question registry filter and you can try this automatic repair of Microsoft or manual registry fixes described here:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/982116

Be sure and expand all the positives on the page you can see all the instructions. I guess that you have Windows 7.

Once you get the drive recognized under Windows there are of course some software that must be installed before you can watch Blu - Ray movies.

  • CD/DVD/BluRay drive will appear under unknown device

The driver seems if be installed properly, yet it shows in the 'Unknown' category in Device Manager.  I can burn discs and play discs if I run the program as administrator, but it says that "access is denied." if I try to use the drive without specifying a run as administrator.  Screenshots can be provided if it would be of any help.

    Hi WarrenTC3,

1 when was the last time it was working fine?

If Device Manager cannot identify the device, it will label it an unknown device.

When a device is not functioning, Device Manager also typically displays an error message with an error code that comes with it.

First, check what is the code for error on an unknown device in Device Manager.

    (a) open the Device Manager , look for the unknown device.

    (b) make a right click on the device and click on Properties, search now on the tab general to find the error code.

See the link below and run the patch available and check if this solves the problem.

If the previous step fails, and then run the fix tool below and check out them.

  • External BluRay drive for Qosmio X 300 - 11 s?

I've had this laptop because there was a problem with a different brand, and it was closer to the specification.

As it doesn't have a blue ray player, can connect you an external for play? Will not be for another year or so but I just wanted to know.

    Thank you very much

    Hello

Blue ray computer external readers are not known to me, and I doubt that readers of Blue ray internal laptop would be compatible with this model of laptop.

  • Envy 17 t: Bluray optical drive

Recently ordered a new laptop and I tried to order one with a Bluray. Optics available only on new laptops to build is a DVD/CD-RW.

Why HP eliminates the Bluray drive option?

Make sure you get the proper thickness. Also, the big question is to transplant the front plate of the DVD burner on the Blu - Ray disc. Try to get an image of the drive you buy so you can see how the façade is mounted.

  • Qosmio F750 - 12 p / BD - RW Pioneer BDR-TD04A - Bluray discs will not play

    Qosmio F750 - 12 p
    BD - RW Pioneer BDR-TD04A
    Windows 7 Home Premium

Problem: Bluray discs will not play. CD will play.

History: I did a clean install of Windows 7 and then installed 60 all the drivers from the support site for this laptop model. Or at least those that would install. Interestingly, the driver of Toshiba Bluray would not install. the installation process stated "player not found on your system" or something like that.

What works the device currently is a 2006 (?) Microsoft driver.

Clues? It's the second Toshiba laptop, I had to (second-hand), and they both had this problem: DVD players do not play DVD right from the start. Very annoying.

    Update:

The "Bluray driver" mentioned above is just the own DVD from Toshiba software. It is not a driver. And it does not find the optical drive Bluray on my laptop!

    - The Bluray optical drive will play DVDs, but not of Bluray discs. I'll borrow an another DVD Bluray at the local library, to ensure that it is not a disk failure.

-The Wifi does not work ("network controller driver is bad / missing")

    - I probably deleted the hidden partition that contains the Toshiba "system recovery disk". I have re-installed Windows and written too. [You are supposed to press "0" when the power, but it does not show the Toshiba Recovery console. I scoured the hidden with a freeware Windows partition and there is nothing usable here.]

It is a stupid economy, not providing a system restore disk AND do not provide drivers download work. (The drivers offered on the site are simply updated). It makes the laptop value much less long term and creates bad word-of-mouth over time.

The only station I have is to buy a Blu - Ray external drive and perhaps a Wifi dongle. Crazy.

  • IdeaPad Y560 Bluray (0646-54u) reader question

Just ordered a laptop LG CT21N Bluray drive from newegg. Someone already had problems adding this drive or a spare optical drive specifically for this laptop?

Reader is installed and works perfectly, ripping a bluray movie as I type this. All lined up, just unsnapped the bezel from lenovo off the coast of the old drive and put it on the new drive. stock screw for the rear mounting has also worked. looks totally stock, eject button works perfectly. Total time was less than 10 minutes.

Can someone tell me if my laptop will play BLU Ray movies if I replace or standard DVD player, he's come up with, with a Bluray player or if I plug an external Bluray drive?

I suspect my monitor / screen is not compatible high definition?

I am happy to say that after installing the new update for Cyberlink PowerDVD, all now works well.

My laptop now plays Blu-Ray movies from the disc.

  • Adding second drive of DVD to H8-1234.

The H8-1234 has an open slot and a power connector of alternatives for adding a second DVD player.  However, the existing SATA cable has only one connector. HP offers a cable two connector? Can I use a SATA cable two connectors "generic"?  Finally, the H8-1234 will work with a second DVD disc?  Thank you.

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion HPE h8-1234. According to specifications, your system has six (6) SATA connectors on the motherboard. Unlike the IDE/PATA, SATA supports only one device per cable. Install another CD/DVD/BluRay drive will require you to buy another SATA data cable to make it work. And YES, the computer will function normally with a second optical drive installed.

  • Picture of problematic Bluray disc burned with disk utility

    Hi all:

I export out of first two sequences: one is a 11 minute video that I exported a Bluray 1080 pm 23.976 h.264. The other is a sequence of 2 hours that I exported with h.264 Bluray 720 p 23.976. I has .m4v and WAV in again and made a basic menu, related all this and built a Bluray disk image. It was released as a 9 GB .iso. I then brought in disk utility which I burned on a Bluray disc on my mac pro book using an external Bluray drive via the USB port. I used the front disc to burn a blu ray and it worked fine. But this time when I go to play the disc after burning (using the same USB) DVD (mac OS app) says "disc not available".

I tried several times with different long projects and I get the same questions.

    Any thoughts?

    Johnny

My 'mac os support for playback of bluray' google suggests that the standard player mac does not support playback of bluray. I'd love to learn otherwise.

  • Blu - Ray player installation problem: lack of VBScript

    Hi people!

After you download driver bluray such as recommended by the notifier of Toshiba, I have trouble to install.
After that I ran Setup, I get 2 windows with the following notifications:

1, first: can not find the VBScript script engine for script... TC3052100B.temp\preinstBDV.vbs

(where TC3052100B.temp referds to the driver bluray itself if I undersand correctly)

2 and after the closure of the window above, the following text is displayed:
Can not find the VBScript script engine for script... TC3052100B.temp\BDPlayerSetup_Patch.vbs

Already, I deleted the old driver and isn't any restore point...

    All operations will run smoothly...

But how to handle this situation?
And I want that my hard drive to function...

    Thank you much in advance,
    Kaspars

    > After download bluray driver such as recommended by the notifier of Toshiba, I have trouble to install.

Toshiba notifier? You mean Toshiba Tempro software
I don't know what model of laptop you have and if your laptop is equipped with a Toshiba Bluray player but I guess you get this error because your computer laptop isn't capable blu - ray player and the Blu - ray Toshiba player isn t preinstalled.

The point why you this notification is simple: there are different laptops with different hardware configurations. But the Toshiba tempro does not recognize if your laptop needs this software. TEMPRO shows you the drivers/tools/utilities that brought to the whole laptop series and have been uploaded to the Toshiba driver page.

  • Motor lack vbscript launch Tempro update

    Hi all

When I run an update proposed by tempro, on my Satellite C870-145 I get a message that could translate "can't find script engine"VBScript"script".
    C:usersPat------w-Temp Local\------TC030709800A.tempp------DVDPlayerSetup_Patch.vbs

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Pat

Of course, Tempro tries to download and install the fix for the DVD player. I don't know what exactly, but orders can also be installed manually from the Toshiba download page.

You have some problems with DVD or BluRay drives pre-installed? If this isn't the case, I think that you don't need to install any update.
By the way: do you use preinstalled original Win7 64 bit?

  • Qosmio G50-129 - can I have it with Blu - ray?

I was looking for a laptop for a few weeks now and I fell on the Toshiba Qosmio G50-129. I had already seen the X 300 range, which had the quad processor, I prefer, but I did not like the colors of this laptop "boy racer".

I thought that the G50 was a reasonable compromise - the high-end core 2 duo processor 800 GB of disk space and lots of features. Only two issues I have with this machine is the 32-bit version of Vista (why don't they provide 64-bit - I'll never understand this) and the lack of Blu - ray.

Now, I'm not a fanatic of DVD or something else that I appreciate that the Blu - ray is the format that is there to stay. To this end, I have a small collection of DVD Blu - ray that I can play on my PS3 and my DVD Blu - ray player hooked up to my surround sound system.

Can someone please explain to me why Toshiba produced this stunning notebook G50 - 129, but for A £1 499 it does not include a Blu - ray player? Are they crazy? I don't like that they have lost the race format by backing the wrong horse, I expect to get the Blu - ray on A £1. 5K laptop!

Unfortunately, Toshiba you lost my business as a result of this omission. Too bad you didn't just accept that Blu - ray is here to stay and accept him as most of the other manufacturers.

    Hello

As you know different notebooks from different manufacturers have different material combination.
Is that Qosmio G50 doesn't support Blu - Ray player, but this machine has other benefits.

It was equipped with the Toshiba Quad Core HD processor, that can turn ordinary DVDs in HD quality.
So you can play DVDs using the internal player and you will get an almost the same quality as a Bluray drive.
In this case you don't need to buy a new BluRay drive, but you can watch the DVD movies in HD quality!

However, I searched here in the forum for similar and found issues these topics:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=39557
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?MessageID=139719

It might be interesting for you.

Finally, I must say that I would not buy a laptop just because of the Blu - Ray player.
For me it s more interesting a CPU, graphics card, RAM, because these are the parts that are needed for games, multimedia, etc.
Of course, the blue ray player would be a nice extra but I have a PS3 too and it was already fitted blue ray player

If this player is not really necessary for me

  • Satellite U500, replace the DVD RW with Blu - ray?

    Hi all

Can I replace my Satellite U500 DVD RW with blu - ray or blu - ray rw? and if yes where can I get the part from? or where can I buy origenal Toshiba parts or parts?

    Thank you all

    Hello

I think that it should be possible, but we need to find an internal Bluray drive with compatible master/slave/c-salt settings.
Optical disc with bad settings would not be recognized by the BIOS.

As far as I know that some Toshiba laptops are equipped with an internal bluray drive.
I recommend a compatible player requesting an ASP.
