  I use a drop-down box to populate a text field, as in This example. It works fine, but I can't not formatting output. I need "BOLD" only one part of the text. I don't know much about scripts, so I'm stuck. I tried to connect two strings together, with the method JavaScript for "BOLD" text on the second string, as follows:

  TextField1.rawValue = "Some plain text!\n" + "Some bold text!".bold();

  The two channels appear, but instead of the second being "BOLD", it displays only the HTML for "BOLD" tags, so, in my text field, I get this:

  The format of text field is set to rich text and data format is set to xhtml because users also have the ability to add their own responses to the field of text as well. However, I do not want to have select and "BOLD" text that is sent automatically to the text field in the drop-down list.   I think that's what you wanted (see attachment).

  Depends on. You could do it with a gradient, which would allow you to keep the direct text, but you will need to do a bit of hoop jump to do. Not too much, but your question made me think to your probably not yet to the level of comfort with the Illustrator requires this hoop jump.

  So instead, you'll need transform the text to outlines and then cut it into pieces and pieces of color. When you do this however, you should know that the text is no longer text, it is art and therefore cannot be changed.

  Select the text

  Put contours by typing the command-shift-O (Ctrl-shift-O on PC)

  Select the knife tool in Control Panel tool (not the slice tool, which looks like an exacto blade, but the knife tool that looks like a steak knife. It is hidden under the Eraser tool)

  Drag the tool knife through your letters, making sure to start and stop outside the letters if you cut all the way through.

  Use the direct Selection tool, select the songs you want to color and choose the appropriate color swatch.

  Ta-Da

• I see that a small part of the text in the url bar, the rest is cut off.

  Recently, my url bar displays only the first handful of letters in my url. If I use the arrow keys, I can see all the text is there, and hit enter brings to the top of the right-hand page, so is not cut the text, just the screen. About the first 15% of the present url bar text, while the bar remains is just gray. I am currently on 16.0.2.

  The old version of Pages used to have a really useful feature that allowed you to select the different parts of a text at the same time by pressing the command at the same time you did drag the cursor over the text you want to select.

  This feature doesn't seem to be available on the new version, which is a shame because it was really, really useful.

• Set different font sizes for certain parts of the text layer?

  I am a novice as AE is going, but I'm working on a script to dynamically change a project.

  AFAIK, there isn't a convenient way for a script to maintain several font sizes once it changes a text document.

  You can however, use sourceRectAtTime() to get the actual span of text in a text layer, positioning and three text layers to get the desired spacing is not difficult.

  I need to remove some reflex of light in my video (example image below).

  I can't open the AVI / MOV files in Adobe Photoshop Elements 10. Is there a chance to correct that (limited to the small part of the image) using Adobe first Elements 10 or Adobe Premiere Pro CS6?

  The camera on a tripod?

  If so, you can easily hide the part of the image and use the levels effect to reduce glare.

  Because of the horizontal portion, you should probably use the cache 16 points. There are actually 9 points the mask 8 points will do the job as well. You can use a matte, but it will allow you to animate as easily if it is needed.

  I put the image on track 1 and track 2 copy. I applied the matte effect of garbage and the levels effect track two.

  

  

  If the camera was not on a tripod, you can animate the matte but it will take much longer.

  I created my mast with two images showing, but if I put the eye on track one, that's what I see:

  

  I understand it correctly? Is that what you wanted to do? I don't have the too dark window frame. You can still see a few highlights, which is as it should be, I think.

• Parts of the text disappear when I try an effect

  I can't try to put a bevel on text in Illustrator CS5. I type the word, vectorize, and go to the menu effects to use bevel and Emboss. But by using purpose made part of the first letter simply... disappear.

  I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. This happens with both point text and text area and when I create outlines on the type, and when I'm not. Help?

  I'm trying to get the limits of a portion of a textFlow. I tried to extract the part via:

  I wanted to use the TextLine.getBounds () method to get the bounding box of the text. The number of rows is always zero, so I can't extract the line via

  I tried to work with compose() and so on, but the number of rows is zero.

  The number of rows is zero until the text was composed. He must have a controller before being committed.

  If the text is already composed as you like in the original TextFlow, you could get the lines intersecting the area that you care. You can do in the flowComposer handing. That gives the TextFlowLine and you can iterate towards the front on the last lines in the region you care. Here is an example of what this might look like:

  enlarge the text into paths (type > vectorize) assuming that you're ready to export.

  then use the white arrow (direct selection tool), select the individual paths and delete.
