Boot Camp still exists but it is missing.

So my windows boot camp was getting full and I decided to partition space on my mac using the utility disk and then boot in windows to take this extra space. However, after doing this I don't see more my Bootcamp as a drive available when I take the option at startup. It still appears in utility disk showing the use of GB of my data on this subject, and it still appears in the preferences, where can I put my boot drive just not when my computer starts. So I tried to put the default value of start, but he told me that he has "No. Bootable Device - Insert Boot disk and press Any Key ' when I try it.

It would not be the end of the world if I forget my data and reinstall windows, but I would like to grow as a last resort because it would be an immense pain while I can re - download a lot of things many things will be permanently lost.

If anyone has an idea how to access my data in windows boot camp once again, because it is obviously still existing, I would appreciate hearing it.

I think I can just re - install windows. I learned that I could shoot the files that I would lose in finder. I went to Boot Camp and drag these files on my mac. Hooray!

  • Administrator accounts still exist, but do not appear in the list of users or on the Welcome screen.

    Hello

A week or two ago, the non-administrator user account icons disappeared from the Welcome screen in Windows XP (32-bit home edition).  Also do they not appear on the list of user accounts.  However, their directories of files remain on the hard disk in Documents and Settings.  They can connect via CTRL ALT DEL x 2, but that's all.  If I try to recreate the accounts, returns the message "account already exists."  I searched the web for ages and many similar symptoms, but none reported patches work.  Any ideas please?

    Matthew,

In light of the where you are, my next step would be to treat these users hidden like 'corrupt profiles' and try one of the several approaches that cover profiles corrupted.  The General method to recover a damaged profile is to create a new user and move all data of the corrupted user profile which has been created.  Once this was accomplished, the corrupted profile can be deleted from the system as well as the user name.  Follow the procedures described in either of the following items:

    Hi there Zenorthodox,

Looks that you can't install Windows on your computer because boot camp keeps giving you this error message. I would like to first take a look at this info in the following article:

Boot Camp: The problems of creation of partition

If you have problems creating a Windows partition, check the following:

    • Before installing Windows, the disk on your Mac must be a single partition to Mac OS extended (journaled) format. If the disc has more than one partition, you need to repartition it.
    • The disc on your Mac must be an internal drive. You may not use the Boot Camp Assistant to install Windows on an external drive.
    • If you have a Mac Pro with more than one internal drive and want to install Boot Camp on a drive that is not in the first hard drive Bay remove readers in the bays of lower numbers. You can reinstall the drives after installing Boot Camp.

If none of this applies to you or does not help you solve the problem I would then use disk utility to verify and repair the disk:

  • Boot Camp will not install on Windows 10 (end of 2015 imac)

Bought an imac 27 "5K retina, end of 2015

1 TB - (not the Fusion drive)

    OS X El Capitan

All applications are updated on both OSX

Version of Windows 10 Education loaded 64 bit ISO file (3 times 2 of 1 Flash of office)

After loading Windows 10 - installation of Boot Camp program starts - but after a few minutes, I get a little window with a red X

The installation stops (I tried the OK TWO hit and hit X to close small, then the windows in the "Installation")

But no Boot Camp file is installed (worked with Apple Care - but they don't have any other suggestions.)

How can I get the Boot Camp assistant on the Windows partition? I can't find Boot Camp 6 downloads anywhere.

I don't have files from Boot Camp on side Windows to run (or disk Flash Drive)

Windows runs and work THOUGH - I have questions - no sound, the mouse does not scroll, have not spent a lot of time to discover other issues.

Another thing to NOTE - on the side of OS x with Boot Camp Assistant - I don't get always the choice to select tasks - that is not available - my boot camp assistant didn't need to start from a flashdrive (external drive) it will be the start of a download of office. I thought to use Boot Camp Assistant to load the ISO on the flash drive - but I do not get this option (select tasks).

Any help is appreciated - is there an external way to download Boot Camp 6?

  • Transfer of personal use of Boot Camp Virtual Machine license

    Hello!

I bought a disc of system integrator OEM 64 - bit Windows 8 for use under the terms of the personal use license and it installed on my MacBook Pro using Boot Camp.
It turns out that the integrated graphics (Intel HD 3000) is not available in configuration dual-boot.
so I cannot use the dedicated graphics card (AMD Radeon HD 6750 M) (for which I should apparently accused Apple, but that's off-topic anyway).
Using the graphics card Intel (for example Quick Sync Video support) has been the reason why I chose a dual boot as opposed to a virtual machine configuration.
Because this does not work, I will try and transfer the installation on a virtual machine in the near future.
I understand that the personal use license does not allow me to run the two facilities (Boot Camp and VM), but do I have that right to say
the conditions of licence it is for me to transfer the license to a virtual machine, as I have delete the partition Boot Camp of my MacBook Pro?
Assuming the above is correct, how exactly would ensure the transfer is as painless as possible? For example:
-AFAICT I would have to get in touch with a Microsoft Product Activation Center by phone.
Is there a better and/or other method or is it my best bet?
-It would be best to call before you do anything, or only after the installation of Windows in the VM (i.e. upon activation)?
-Should what information I have ready to give Microsoft?
    Thank you

That's right, simply remove the installation of Boot Camp, then you can transfer to a virtual computer and reactivate by phone:

    1. press the Windows key + X , and then clickrun, and then type: slui.exe 4

    2. then press the ENTER"" key.

    3. Select your "country" in the list.

    4. choose the option "activate phone".

    5. stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    6. explain your problem clearly to the support person.

Nope. activation of the phone is your only option.
-It would be best to call before you do anything, or only after the installation of Windows in the VM (i.e. upon activation)?
You can not, you make the call "after" you have transferred the license.

Your Confirmation ID, it will appear in the activation window.

  • Boot Camp is no longer showing as bootable disk but still readable

    Hello

I recently tried to increase the size of my boot camp partition and I partitioned my internal drive to create a space to be able to use this free space to extend the windows partition in to. However, after you have created this space empty on my drive, the bootcamp windows no longer displays when I hold 'alt' on power. Finder can still read the bootcamp drive and all files seem to always be there. I'm really confused and any help would be greatly appreciated. I really don't want to uninstall boot camp and reinstall again that it would cause a problem for some software licenses.

    Thanks in advance!

    Ryan

Please after the release of the following OSX Terminal commands.

    diskutil list

    Cs diskutil list

    sudo TPG - vv - r see the/dev/disk0

    sudo fdisk/dev/disk0

Orders 'sudo' will ask for your password.

A BC/Windows partition resizing is not supported by Apple officially. Third-party tools must be used very carefully. Don't mix not BC on the same Mac partitioning.

  • I tried to make a boot camp partition, but for some reason some don't has not and now I have two partitions I can't combine.

I tried to ebb in the Boot Camp Assistant, but I'm greeted by this message "Startup disk cannot be partitioned or restored to a single partition. Also, whenever I try to go back to disk maybe utility try to merge the two together it won't let me. Help, please. My laptop is currently the MacBook Pro 2015.

Maybe someone can come up with some weird juju or mysterious incantation to perform during the full moon in loincloth, but in a State worse case, you will need to repartition the disk and reinstall/restore from scratch. So I would say that you start preparing down all your stuff safely into something you can restore from. In other words, get an external drive of appropriate size and clone the current system of work on a bootable clone. Can be done with disk utility, but the fastest way is to use CarbonCopyCloner, you can try for free. Be sure to clone the recovery Partition as well.

  • Missing from the Boot Camp partition

    Hello

So, my question, I can't find my my mac partition after you use the thing to boot camp to install windows on my system, but after the installation, my computer laptop bugged out and returned to the regular Mac OX. But my window and the whole score disappear and now I have only 88 GB of storage.

Did you start the installer of Windows? Otherwise, since OS X Terminal after the release of

  • Boot Camp said "we couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one.

I am trying to install Windows using Boot Camp 8.1, after having previously deleted my partition Windows 10 after getting into a loop Auto Repair. I get the following error after hitting the button "format" on the installation of Windows: "we could not create a new partition to locate an existing one. For more information, see the Setup logs files. »

Look at the other pages, I'm noting I have seem to have more than the other disk partitions (although the disk utility says I have no partitioned disks). In the Windows Setup screen, the following things are displayed:

    Disk 0 Partition 3 primary MB 128.0 MB 0.0

    Drive system 1 Partition 1:EFI 200.0 MB 196,0 MB

    Disc 2 GB 412,1, 0.0 MB primary Partition 1

    Disc 1 3 MB 619,0 0.0 MB primary Partition

    Disc 1 4:BOOTCAMP 518,6 GB GB 518,5 Primary Partition

Why it seems that I have so many partitions? Shows only utility, I have one disk (more Boot Camp one). This is let me install Windows 8.1? I used BootCamp when my computer is new, 2 years ago and had no problem at all. And I added some partitions since (to my knowledge).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Boot Camp windows 10 drivers are missing

    Hey guys,.

just installed win 10 on my new 2015 macbook pro 2.5 ghz model. Installation went smoothly, but the boot camp assistant Setup was clinging to the driver realtek for hours. There was a (temporary) partition on my victory named something like "OSxReserved" and it contained all the boot camp drivers. I have manually installed the realtek driver, Redid the boot camp installation and it worked. After the reboot, partition was gone, but the drivers are not completely installed because my trackpad doesn't work, nor the brightness/volume buttons.

I tried to download drivers assistant boot camp in El captain once again, but the possibility to download disappeared and it just shows me an option to restore the OS X partition to its full size and remove bootcamp.

    Help, please!

You can download the drivers from Apple to help Wizard of BC.
