Boot Manager is missing (cause and solution)
This is based on my experience
cause: partition (usually c) system and repartioning deleting it. example you have 200 GB in the c drive and removing his score to a new partiton 2 or 100 GB and 100 GB and decreases its volume to get a new drive unallocated.
real scenario: I was downgrading a vista to xp presario a945ee, I divided the 1st partition (where the original operating system was installed) in half by removing and making 2 new partitions. I didn't touch the recovery partition so that I can recover the original system. for some reasons that I decided to retrieve the laptop for itsfactory image and when I hit F11 I get the MANAGER of STARTUP IS MISSING error, none of the recovery disks have been created so im stuck.
solution: use your recovery disks, if you or order a game if you don't have any of the recovery disks
lesson learned: always create recovery discs before doing something on your computer, never destroy partitions.

How to get Vista recovery Media or the Vista recovery Partition on your computer back to factory settings.
There is no Vista free download legal available.
Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.
They will tell you how to do this.
Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.
Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed. There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

Satellite L750-1LC - Boot Manager is missing by using the recovery disk
I bought a Toshiba satellite L750-1LC and I try to create the DVD 4 to save.
On the first dvd that only he came an error reading twice, the other DVDs were ok.
When I try to recover from the DVD the recovery process got stuck on the first dvd so I had to reboot and try again, but the same thing happened to it.After you restart the system it came a message that bootmnager is missing and windows and any other thing was gone.
Is the promotion of "No. Matter What Guarantee" "covering this type of flaws?
If so, what are the steps to qualify for this promotion?I said that I am a Romanian citizen and I have already implemented for promotion in the specified time interval.
It seems that the first recovery disk is not created properly because you got an error message.
As I understand your message, you have tried to boot from the first recovery disc (which was not correctly created in the past) and so the installation could not be completed successfully. Now, you cannot start the operating system, because the Boot Manager is missing and possibly the system is deleted also
I see just one solution: order the new disk recovery from here and use it for the installation of the OS: http://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspxPS: as far as I know that hardware issues are covered by the warranty, software issues not covered by the warranty

It would be interesting now what model phone you have and what OS you are using.
Normally, if you get Toshiba Recovery disk, you must start on the first disc and the installation, you need to insert the second disk.
Alternative try a disc of Microsoft. Maybe you recovery disk is noisy and so it can t be read correctly. -

Hello!
Have you tried with the disk recovery Toshiba or a disk of Microsoft?
If you want to reinstall Vista with Microsoft disc, you need SATA drivers.I m do not know what is the problem, but in your case, I would like to format the HARD drive. You can do this with the Microsoft disk or with special tools like the Drive Fitness Test (http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/download.htm#DFT).
Delete all partitions and then do a low level format. Then try again to install Windows.
Give me a reason why this has happened.
Good bye

Boot Manager is missing so that install operating system pretty.
Original title: Boot Manager missing.
I use a Dell Inspiron 700 m family machine with Windows XP Edition as an OEM installation. I wanted to try a commercially available cloud operating system just for fun. I installed it on my assembled desktop PC and everything works great, and then I decided to install it on my laptop, that everything is OK until I restarted Windows to the end of the installation. The Boot Manager does not restart and started directly in the new operating system. I know that the windows installation is still on my laptop because I can see the files in the file browser in the other operating system. I know that this probably isn't the place to ask for another operating system, but they do not yet have answers. For your information, I'll give you the name of the operating system I installed and give you the address of the download page. I am out of Windows XP and the new operating system is unable to console me anyway.

Dilemma of dual boot Win XP SP3 Pro and Windows 8 Pro
At this time, April 2013, I expect to build a desktop system dual boot with Windows 8 Pro for the current and future capabilities and Win XP Pro for continued use of legacy aps favorite who will not run on Win8. It turns out that the disc formats are a problem. The Win8 64 bit needs a partition format GPT to install 32-bit XP or XP Pro needs a format MBR partition to install. No OS will share the same format and a main drive cannot be formatted and partitioned in a type of format or the other. What to do? !! Two computers are not an acceptable answer; I want a 'box '. In addition, not interested in XP Mode embeded in Win8 or 'virtual machine '. One suggestion has been to run the operating system on separate disks. For me, this means that 2 SSD is to get performance on the two operating systems. Also, to move from one OS to another, you must restart; catch the key bios entry; change the boot sequence; Save/quit; and reboot. (Awkward!). So what to do with the data and documents - one NAS file storage (for example, disk WD Live 'cloud')? There's good news to have? Are there recent usability solutions to help solve the dilemma of the dual boot? A boot manager will really help and there a good "gift" there Boot Manager? Thoughts, anyone?
I have a custom system DIY mb Gigabyte Z77, processor i7-3770, running a fresh XP Pro SP3 Edition Builder.
The drive letter is not critical since XP, Windows 8 will still start as C: (even if the partition is Z: in Windows XP).
I pre-formatted Windows 8 partition before installing Windows 8 (named volume: Windows 8).
Then, when you reach the screen "Where install" during the installation of 8, choose the partition of Windows 8.
You can view other things is the BIOS, look for compatibility / legacy mode option.

Missing Boot Manager and no disc
We have windows vista and recently my husbands computer stopped working. It turns on and starts to load but then says missing Boot Manager. We got our computers through our College and don't have the startup disk or recovery disk. We do not know what to do. I know that this seems to be a common problem with an easy solution... IF you have the rcovery disc. SO my question is how do solve us our problem without the disc? Someone please help us. We need our computer for school. Thanks in advance.
1. try to make a record of BootableRepair.
2 borrow a good Vista DVD.
3. get recovery in any case discs.
Download the ISO on the provided link and do a repair of the disc.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

Above information shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.
