Bootcamp cleared after upgrade to El Capitan
Hi, I followed the steps in this thread:
El Capitan has deleted my windows bootcamp partition
that I could do until I reached the point to use gdisk to write the new requirements of the partition from the results of testdisk. I get the following error:
Complete control of the final. About to write data of TPG. THIS WILL OVERWRITE EXISTING
PARTITIONS!
Do you want? (Y/N): y
OK; new partition table (GPT) GUID written/dev/rdisk0.
WARNING: Open with shared lock devices will not have their
table partition automatically reloaded!
Failed to open device ' / dev/rdisk0 "for writing! Errno is 1! Abandonment of writing!
I don't like clutter up this forum with repetitive questions, but I can't seem to find the answer to this one. Any help would be appreciated!
El Capitan has active SIP.
1. boot in local restoration (command-R).
2. start utility-> Terminal.
3. type csrutil disable in the Terminal, and then press enter/return.
4. type csrutil State.
5 start normally, then type csrutil status to confirm that it is always disabled.

Bootcamp missing after upgrade to El Capitan
Hi, I want to run Windows so that I can remove the ADS 'files' associated with the files I transferred to a Windows computer for Mac Pro (mid-2010) I.
After the upgrade to El Capitan (or perhaps Yosemite, as I haven't used bootcamp for awhile) bootcamp will no longer appear when I hold 'alt' when starting.
I use NTFS for Mac OS X by Paragon and the bootcamp partition appears in the Finder, and the files are accessible.
I have a backup time machine in Mac OS X I have an El Capitan USB drive Installer.
Disk0 is an SSD that would 744,91 for OS X and 253 GB of bootcamp.
I read the posts here who have a similar problem, but my system seems to have an additional problem with a partition OS X 'extra' appearing in the readings (see below) that should not be there.

(1) the DMG files does not open. said hdiutil attach has busy resource failed.
(2) my Macbook Pro will not stop completely.
(3) my systems updates install completely. They hit each other between installation (had to force quit)
' (4) ' about this Mac ' gets hit when trying to access storage tab.
Any suggestions?

Import old box Inbox and sent in the Mail after upgrading to El Capitan
There has been much discussion about the e-mails lost after upgrade to El Capitan, but I have not seen this particular question.
I discovered that, like many others, all emails in my Inbox and in my sent folder to leave before the upgrade had disappeared. The issue has not affected the emails I had moved to folders.
Open the mail library file (in the Finder, hold down the Option key selecting go to the top menu and the library appears), I discovered that Mail was created a new file V2, account, while the old one, V3 (created in 2013), sitting next to her. Go by the size files, it seems fair to assume that the V3 still contains my "lost" emails
So, I don't know if the bug is that a new V2 should have been created at all, or is it a sync error, or something else. What I know is that when I try to import the items from Inbox and sent from the V3, I get an error message telling me that no mbox valid was found. This is patently false.
I also tried to copy on an external hard drive, gave them a different name, but even then I couldn't import them. Reconstruction did not help either.
Anyone able to help? I have a few crucial e-mails out there, and I try to avoid the upgrade...

I lost my bootcamp partition after update to El Capitan (solitary method T did not work for me: () is lost forever?)
I can't access my files or the partition from the finder
My bootcamp partition size is 380 GB.
This is all the information on the situation:
sudo TPG - r - vv show disk0
sudo fdisk/dev/disk0
diskutil list
sudo-l/dev/disk0 Gdisk
sudo dd if = / dev/rdisk0s4 account = 1 2 >/dev/null | hexdump - C
Sudo gdisk/dev/rdisk0
in IPARTITION
My bootcamp partition is referred to as a free space
in the finder
Thanks a lot for your help!
How do you have a 100 MB NTFS file system and free space after the partition of 100 MB. You have a MSR (100 MB), but your windows are the current MSD.
SIP is activated. Your MBR has no bootable entry, because it is not marked. Please describe in detail what steps were tried.

I can't import my LR6 RAW files after upgrade to El Capitan...
External drive is formatted in NTFS in Windows format, and you HAD a utility installed in your earlier version of Mac OS X to what OS X write on a NTFS formatted drive. Mac OS X cannot do it by itself. As you upgrade to OS X 10.11 is removed and or disable this utility causing OS X see this drive read-only (OS X can read NTFS disks formatted in native mode, but cannot write to them natively). You will need to reinstall this utility and or get a updated version of this that works with El Capitan.

Bootcamp problem after upgrade of the El Capitan!
Hello
I just upgraded to El Capitan Yosemite on my iMac, so I can't find my bootcamp. I tried to do with lonely T instructions, but yet, I think I did something wrong (not very tech savvy just follow the instructions). Bootcamp volume appears in the finder and accessible but non-startup disk. Protection of the integrity of the system has been disable by running csrutil the command disable on recovery mode. I need help!
additional notes: I have an extra partition named Extra, and I went through the same process using gdisk when I added the partition when using Yosemite. He works at this time, but not now after El Capitan upgrade.
And I realize that I don't have "No CoreStorage groups of logical volumes found".
Not sure if necessary additional info:
Thanks in advance, please guide me in the process.
Derrick
Please enter 'p' to the list of files in the last Data MS and after the release. What does the 'Extra' on your Mac partition? Do you have 'lost' Windows when you created "Extra"?

Bootcamp (Win7) missing after upgrade to El Capitan
My iMac early 2009 (one of the 4 Macs in my office) has lost his Boot Camp partition after upgrade to OS 10.11. the 1 TB drive keeps 783 GB as Untitled in disk utility, but the icon is missing from the office and it does not appear in the start window options. I don't want to wipe o as Win 7 teacher was OEM and I Revit and Autocad licenses on it. I can do something so he relocated it? I have the same problem with my Macbook Pro of retina.

Calendar dead after upgrade to El Capitan
Upgrade to El Capitan yesterday evening and calendar is now non-functional.
Can not see my ical calendars, can not see the events, can't access preferences (nothing happens when you select it), after adding a subscription (Google Calendar), nothing happens. Cannot add a new event.
Tried calendar of audit services and untick in my Google accounts. Tried to delete the bad or obsolete key and CERT in the Keychain Access utility. I only get a blank calendar and can't do anything. Don't know if it's related, but I get a ton of console error messages signature:
"22/07/16 3:02:42.889 PM mdworker [8515]: validation failed trying to get information from code signing: error Domain = NSOSStatusErrorDomain Code 67062 ="(null)"UserInfo = {SecCSArchitecture = ppc}.
So happy that I have finally little ball and upgraded to the wonderful El Capitan. Not.
Try to run the update from the drop-down list. It installs all the previous updates plus a new one, which can replace all files that may have damaged.

No longer recognizes my Seagate Expansion drive after upgrade to El Capitan
I upgraded this morning to El Capitan. Before that in so doing, I took care of my backup Crashplan was full then removed all of my external drives. I have three following readers:
(1) Seagate 2 TB portable backup more (for important storage images/documents/videos so I can work between home and College)
(2) Office of more than Seagate 3TO backup drive (for part of my Crashplan backup - I also backup to Crashplan central in the cloud)
(3) Seagate to 5 Expansion Drive (to store old files, which are now copied on the 2 TB drive now, and I have not used this drive in age anyway)
Note: nothing is really stored on my Mac hard drive, I keep almost free and save memory for the app
As all the files in the disk of 5 TB are now on my 2 TB drive, and is in turn supported up to 3 TB drive using Crashplan, it's now redundant, I wanted to wait that I upgraded to El Capitan to format the disk of 5 TB, so it is compatible with Time Machine and make another backup and Crashplan.
But after that I've upgraded to El Capitan, I plugged it all readers of my back in and adopted the new HD in Crashplan (as their FAQ instruct). Except that only 2 of the 3 discs are now recognized. The 2 TB and 3 TB drives appear fine, but the 5 TB drive appear not at all.
What can I do to resolve this and get the drive to be recognized? Or just Apple cost me €160 with this upgrade?
The drive appears in the disk utility?
See article 1 article linked.

Messages after upgrade to El Capitan
After the upgrade to El Capitan 10.8.5, my message list shows only the phone numbers instead names/photos of the people? How can I get this back to show my son by his name?
Please take each of the following steps that you have not already tried it.
Step 1
You may need to synchronize contacts between the Mac and other devices. One way to do that is via iCloud. On Mac, open the iCloud preferences window and login if you haven't already. Check that the box Contacts. Do the equivalent on your mobile device.
Make sure that your contact accounts are activated in tab Contacts preferences window accounts.
Step 2
In the menu bar, select
▹ System Preferences... Region & language ▹
In the region in the window menu, select one of the predefined regions. If it is already selected, select another, and then change it back. Close the preferences window. Quit and restart the messaging app.
If you still have the problem after taking these steps, post your results.

I'll always be able to run the opening after upgrade to El Capitan?
I want to install Office 2016 on my MacBook Pro which is running 10.9.5 - it asks me to upgrade to El Capitan. I'm afraid that Aperture will not work more.
On El Capitan, you need opening 3.6. You are currently running opening 3.5.1 or an older version?
Before you upgrade to el Capitan make a full time Machine backup of you system so that you can return to the Mavericks, if need to be. (see: OS X El Capitan: revert to a previous version of OS X)
And check if you are able to update to 3.6 opening. Check before upgrade you to El Capitan.
- Open the App Store and sing in your account in the Store with your AppleID menu.
- The fourth "shopping" tab Figure opening it to your purchase history? If so, you can update opening 3.6, once you have upgraded to El Capitan. If the opening is absent from your purchase history, you will only be able to update with the help of the PapSTore supported.
See this user Tip: update to Aperture 3.6 after the release of Photos
https://discussions.Apple.com/docs/doc-8402
3.6 the opening is the latest version of Aperture and the only one to run on El Capitan.
There are more and more questions with an opening. Opening 3.6 is running on El Capitan, but keep accumulating the minor bugs.
- When brushing the adjustments, the position may be a bit off, a pixel or so.
- The thumbnails in the list view are backwards. Re: opening and El Capitan OSX
- If you add a curves adjustment, adjustment to straighten will be not visible in the exported images. See: right
- The link to the plug-ins page work is no longer in the opening menu, but it's the same for all versions.
And you can order are no longer produced printouts of Aperture. Apple has stopped completely, the support for Aperture print products in any version of Aperture.
