On OSX, if the following Terminal command produces any output, then you cannot read partition OSX on the side Windows? FileVault2 will also disable access to the OSX partition.

  • BB10 - Audio/video in HTML5 - reading file from the file system

    Hello.

    I tried to read a file from the file system on the BB10 Dev Alpha, using the HTML5 video + HTML5 Audio implementation, but it seems to not work for me with the following source code:

    var audio = document.createElement('audio');
    audio.src="/accounts/1000/shared/music/testfile.wav";
    audio.controls = true;

    var video = document.createElement('video');
    video.src="/accounts/1000/shared/videos/testfile.avi";
    video.controls = true;

    Referring to the HTML5 Audio API documentation and Video of HTML5 , I used the example presented here source code, but I still get the following error message:

    Anyone now how to get it working or if it is not yet implemented in the BB10 WebWorks API/framework?

    Well, I believe that what could be the problem.  In order to access to the / shared the location of the folder, your application should allow the permission to do so.  This can be done by adding the following to your config.xml file:

        access_shared

    Next, you need to whitelist the way file:/// by adding an element to access.  I remember that's how its done:

    Note You can whitelist all areas using the following:

    Hope that helps.

  • Transfer of files from the old HARD DRIVE to new computer without an old computer. (He's dead - can not use) I have the hard drive, but need help to transfer my old files and settings.

    ·        My old Win XP computer died - it is completely unusable. I bought a new PC with Win 7 Pro and 1 TB. I still have the old HARD DRIVE (250 GB) which I have attached on the new computer using an external enclosure supports SATA drives. The external hard drive is connected to the computer in USB 3.0. I checked that the new computer can see the external hard drive. (I also used for backups by changing the hard drive with a 2 TB drive 'mass storage' - that works.)

    I searched the internet for possible solutions and found no help. If the transfer of files from Microsoft would change the disc to analyze, it would be simple. But if I select the OLD computer it scans the disk I'm on (new) - automatically.

    Is there anyone who has had the same problem? He must be because computers die all the time and people buy new computers - who then, somehow, they get the former transferred files. I could do it manually, but that wouldn't change the settings. Last resort would be to buy an old computer XP (SATA), replace the drive. Transfer the files, and then sell this computer.

    You may be able to recover your data files, but I hope that you will set up your new system to automatically backup a second internal hard drive or an external USB hard drive.

    This suggestion may not work, but it's worth a try. Buy an external USB drive enclosure. They come in two sizes 2.5 "for the portable computer drives and 3.5" for desktop disks. You can purchase adapters for 3.5 "envelopes so that they can also be used with a portable player. Place the hard drive in the enclosure and connect to a USB port of another computer. Several hard disks are more able to start, but the contents of the disc can still be accessed, read and copied from the disk because you do not use the operating system on a failed disk.

    Here is an example of the type of device, I suggest:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=external+hardrive+enclosure&tag=googhydr-21&index=aps&hvadid=14388537836&hvpos=1t1&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=556960941559985931&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&ref=pd_sl_32uorbwbuk_b

    You need only to the speaker, that you see are not necessarily more expensive. Thereafter, you can put an old hard drive usable, an abandoned because you need a larger drive internal, in the enclosure and use it as additional external storage.

  • Portege M400: cannot copy the files on the disk HARD - can't see any of my files in Word

    I bought the M400 a few weeks ago. There are a number of problems. Adobe reader gives "an internal error has occurred", manual installation of download gives "error occurred in the file zip", download or copy of the files on the hard disk gives error "there is no space" when there are only 8 gig used from 60 GB. Now, I don't see any of my files in Word.

    I can also copy the files from the cd or DVD. I'm in canada mississauga on Horus, usually resident in the United Kingdom, so I'm in a precarious situation because I can't in my office to sort out the issues.

    Can someone advise me please why all these problems are happening, do I have to use the recovery disk? Baz

    > Forgive me but how to put the hard drive in business.

    I think that the Johnny means that you connect the HARD drive to another computer using the external USB HDD controller. These external USB HDD cases can be purchase in every store of the computer.

    However, if you n t need data that are placed on the HARD drive, you could simply start installing the OS from the recovery CD. This will format the whole HARD drive and install the new operating system as well as all the drivers, utilities and software further.

    Windows media player does not recognize my external hard drive on all my computers windows 7, but works fine on my xp. has taken the laptop shop they led produced songs media player then reinstalled them, and it worked. but when I added more songs on the ext. harddrive and tried to play on windows media player 7 it does not find new! can't afford to take to the store whenever I have download music and want to play on my Media Player 7. is it auto recognition? When I plug the ext. harddrive inside automatically so reads the news on it?

    It has been fixed thought

    I had posted a question on my Ext. harddrive, my windows xp Media Player recognizes new music I have add out of it, but all my computers which are used to windows 7. then I myself especially when I add the new music on the hard drive for media playyer on xp I have spend the toolbar and click on file, then click Add to library computer search and it adds to the media player library. but windows 7 does not have this option. I noticed if you click file, and then manage libraries, and then the music lets me add my Ext. harddrive (e drive) to the library list. on a computer it support of new music and videos found on the hard drive, on two computers it just music, so I downloaded a song and a video on the hard drive, plugged into the computer and media player says that it has been updated of library, and yet there they never found the new files. Why have they changed? XP was so easy. new is not always better!

  • Is that process of read/write from the disk?

    My hard drive activity light is on.  If I run the software that reads the disk much (for example video editing), it is really slow.

    In the Task Manager, I see that system (PID 4) has about 3-6% of CPU (I have an 8-core processor).  Performance shows the red part (the system activity).  I checked the option of indexing and it shows completed.

    How can I know which process is causing the disk activity?

  • Not able to open files from the internet.

    I tried to open the files in the past (trying to find the specific file example, but not ablt to) and I get a new window and it appears asking me to select a language. I chose "default windows" and English of the West, but always 'open' the file in a number format. I don't know what is happening or how to fix it. These were not large files, and it doesn't all the time.

    Hello

    Looks like you are trying to open binary files - those that are coded and require special
    programs to decode them. Some can even be designed to open, like executibles (.exe
    and .com) or. DLL files among many others.

    If you need to be able to open a specific file type control these sites and if necessary ask questions on
    them, in a message.

  • Reading files from the internet and write them on a computer

    Hello

    I'm working on a program to copy files from a location on the internet to a local file on a computer.
    The file is a .swf file, so I read the data of the file on the internet in a ByteBuffer and then write it to a file on the computer...
    But it does not work... It copies the file, but the .swf run right
    However, when I use essentially the same procedure to copy a file from a local file to a local file on the same computer, it copies very well...
    As far as I know I'm copying the files in these two circumstances the same way, with only a few changes to connect to a URL...

    I can publish the source code in a day or two if it would help to explain better...

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    in. Read (Byte []) is not guaranteed to fill the table. You read in a loop until it returns-1.

    At the very least, check the return value from read() call. If it does not say that you have read the full file, there is your problem. If she says that you have it done read the complete file, then there is another issue that is not immediately obvious to me. I just hooked this one because he jumped in the eyes me like an obvious no-no.

    Next, after the download and installation of Format

  • Can not see what is placed on the disk

    On my Lenovo 3000 N200 with Vista Home basic C: (using the property) Watch 101 G used 4.2 free G but when I add up the size files in C:, they add only up to 20 G.  I understand there is a service partition that is invisible, and it is about 20G.  But where's the other 80G? Help!

    Be careful with any of these ideas, your system can be configured differently.

    Before you start deleting things, determine what exactly is take up space.

    1 could be Lenovos rescue and recovery of backup,

    I think that these can be removed by the program. I do not use it

    so can not tell you how.

    2 or maybe windows Vistas to restore the files and shadowstorage.

    Try cleaning disc, part of vista? Delete the restoration and then create

    a new restore point.

    3. I used this command from a command prompt window,

    Right click, run as administrator. Website link with explanation;

    vssadmin resize shadowstorage / For = C: / On = C: / MaxSize = 4 GB

    MaxSize is editable.

    Type vssadmin /?  for the parameters.

    EDIT: Change the syntax of the command.

  • Reading file from the ftp server and importing data into the table

    Hi experts,

    Well, basically, I text with different layout files have been uploaded to an ftp server. Now, I must write a procedure to recover these files, read and insert data into a table... what to do?

    See the link, hope it will work.

    It is an old method, using the utl_file_dir parameter that is now obsolete and which is frankly a waste of space when external tables can do exactly the same thing much more easily.

  • Windows 8 does not see the hard drive on the Satellite A200

    Windows 8 does not see the hard drive on the A200.
    How to install it?

    S strange Windows 8 should already contain the HARD drive controller driver to recognize the HARD drive during installation.
    The HARD drive is visible in the BIOS?

    Do you use the original disc from Microsoft of Windows 8?

  • After you install a second WD 1 TB my book drive, Windows Explorer does not see the new drive.

    Original title: Signature Collision?

    I'm having hard to the installation of a second external drive. I use Windows 7 Ultimate RC. There was a WD 1 TB drive My Book already installed - healthy and works very well. The problem occurred after installing a second WD 1 TB my book reader. I followed all the instructions, pluuging the drive to a USB hub. Windows found the disk, installed drivers and reported the new drive ready for use.

    Windows Explorer does not see the new drive. Devices and printers shows 2 external drives from WD. Disk Management shows as 2 drives, but the second disk is offline because of a 'Signature' Collision

    Each player works very well if it's the only drive plugged in. "Eject My Book" does not work because a program (or more) are to use the player in the background (Windows or Norton).

    I installed the latest firmware and I'm still having this problem. I've been emailing WD with this problem and they are running out of ideas.

    Can anyone help?
    Thank you

  • Portege M400 - Windows 7 does not see HARD drive

    Hi, I have the problem, I am trying to install Windows 7 on my M400, but he didn't see the hard drive.
    The hard drive is surly ok, ' couse I tested it in the other netbook, I can see it in the BIOS, but any program installation can not.

    (I tried both Ubuntu and XP Tablet Edition)

    Hi Radzik,

    I think that Windows doesn't see the drive HARD due missing RAID drivers Windows needs of these RAID drivers before you can install it because it doesn t contain these drivers for the disk HARD is not recognized. You can download the RAID driver from Toshiba Web site.

    You can then create a new installation disc using nLite with drivers or copy the drivers on an external floppy drive. Start Windows XP after you press F6 to load drivers from floppy drive.
