bootcamp/windows issues

Hi all

I gave a chance of 5 apple support reps to answer this question and still cannot be resolved so I hope you guys can help.

I'm on the last machine of iMac (21.5 inch, 4K retina display) with operating system up-to-date. I tried to install windows with the bootcamp assistant. I belong to users who need a USB drive connected to it.

Machine made all the copy of the files of my ISO file that is on my local drive, but when it restarts to start installing windows, he went in a small window about 2 inches of width in the middle of the screen. I managed to make the first steps, including the seizure of the product code. When I got to the screen where it shows the installation discs for Windows, there is no bootcamp drive! I couldn't use the other readers had to cancel. Have made several times now and always after the round trip in a single volume on the computer (and therefore remove the drive bootcamp). And Yes, there was a training camp in car, as I could see it in disk utility, but with no data on this.

Really grateful if someone could help me determine why the configuration screen becomes small, and also why he can't find my bootcamp drive. As training camp did things that I can't really find anything I have hurt.

Thank you and rega

any ideas on this guy? still having the same problem...

    Hello

I try to use my USB 2.0 USB drive on my MBP 13.3 "in bootcamp Windows 10 and it does not appear in windows Explorer. The USB key is displayed in the device however Manager. I tried my hard drive that is USB 3.0 and it works fine, but the USB does not work. I have tried many different solutions and none seem to work including physical relocation and replacing the USB name i.e. H: U:. In disk management, the device is there but says "no media" below.

Someone at - it suggestions as to how I can get the USB appear in Windows Explorer and access the files?

Bravo to all the answers in advance.

the device is considered that the format is not. In some cases shaped on the Mac in Fat32 or ExFat is not readable under Windows. Reformat the Windows Fat32 or ExFat Device Manager device, it will destroy the data and mount the drive. In turn the unit may become unusable which can occur over time.

  • How (re) - add Apple keyboard to Bootcamp (Windows 7)

Hello, I've been running bootcamp windows 7 on iMac no problem for two years.  It was wired apple keyboard (w / numeric keypad).  Today it suddenly stopped working.  It does not show as one of the screen "devices."  I plugged on a MacBook, work very well.  so the problem doesn't seem to be the keyboard itself.  All devices plugged into USB work fine, it's not the USB ports.  Also tried to add the wireless keyboard that came with the iMac does not recognize.  Can anyone help?  Thank you.

    Hi all

I just bought a Thunderbolt Apple display to use with my 2012 15 "27" Macbook Pro Win10/Boot Camp running. Is anyone know the procedure to get the display to work with Bootcamp/Windows 10? Is there a setting in the training Camp that must be turned on to make it work? I have connected screen but could not get a desktop display.  Any help would be really appreciated! TY

The monitor should have a TB and adapter power connector. The monitor works on both OSX. ? If so, shut down of windows, connect monitor and start Windows. Your TB 2012 monitor is not plug-and-play with Windows.

Hello, I've been running into issues with my Early 2011 15 "Macbook Pro since I used Bootcamp to install Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium on my new Samsung 840 Evo SSD, I installed in it." What I read, it meets the criteria to run AHCI, but for some reason, I can do activate or install the Intel series 6 Chipset AHCI drivers.

  • Bootcamp Windows - partition cannot be mounted

    Hey all,.

I've been using Windows on my iMac (late 2012, Yosemite 10.10.5) without problem but today after I started MacOS Yosemite (to control simple file), cannot start again to return to Windows. Had no problem Bootcamp before... have not used to any advantage either 3rd disk utility. The only thing I have recently increased the Windows size 200 GB partition by decreasing the MacOS partition through disk utility (a month ago, no problem since then until today)

    1. Windows has disappeared from the startup disk

    2. disk utility shows disk0s4 gray and cannot be mounted. In addition, the correct partition size was 700 but here its listed as 500 GB GB (which was the old size before you increase it)

3 when I try to restart with pressed ALT, Windows, but cannot restart, with a black screen showing "a disk error occurred.

I'm not very familiar with techniques more. Only, I tried to install "Find" but cannot achieve anything with it.

I tried your advice above and seems THAT NTFS is there...

one last thing... when I try to check disk0s4, said "it should be repaired. When I hit repair; It says this:

Need my Windows as soon as POSSIBLE, what more should I do?

I don't have not upgraded to Sierra again. That I should? Or it will be even worse?

I have tons of files on Windows that I need and unfortunately not supported for a while anywhere (sorry about that now).

    Help, please...

    stuff more to indicate...

and I know if it's significant but cmd + s & ' fsck - fy "has not done anything other than check the Mac partition.

  • Bootcamp Windows 10 question

    Hi all

Stumbled upon a problem, try to install Windows 10 an end 2014 27' iMac w/retina education runs Yosemite 10.10.5. Bootcamp is V 5.1.4. 32 GB, 3.5 ghz Intel I5. Disk of 1 TB of Fusion. Before you try this, I read the guide of Bootcamp to install windows, but also a number of other tutorials and forum messages about potential problems. This research, I learned that for EDU edition you must change the name of the file from Win10_1607_Education_English_x64.iso to Win10_1607_English_x64.iso. Apparently to have the former name of the file may cause OS X to not recognize the ISO. That fact I started Bootcamp, waited while the software downloaded and created a bootable USB key and partitioned my drive giving Windows 70 GB of space. After that, I got the message that my computer is restarts. Upon restarting, I got the black screen with the blue Windows logo and a spinning loading animation. After a few minutes, a blue screen with a message "Windows has encountered and error with computer and must restart," or something similar. He was pretty quick, so maybe it's not word for Word, but it was not a helpful post in terms of saying something specific. When the computer reboots, I am sent directly to OS X, though a bit slower than normal. I tried to restart with the flash drive to see if the installer would start up, no dice. Try now the Option key at startup, the flash player is not available. Went into my settings to see if I could change my startup on Win disk install USB, no luck it no more.

Now for the question: How can I get the Windows installation again? What I have to start the process, and if so, what should I use Bootcamp to delete the partition that was created? I have re-run Bootcamp and the only option that is checked is the partition and start and install/uninstall windows and delete the partition.

    Thanks for the help.

    Perform the following two procedures

Reset the management system (SCM) controller on your Mac - Apple Support

How to reset the NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

If you use a USB drive, not a USB flash drive, you will have problems. It is recommended to use a 8-16 GB USB2 flash drive.

If the installation program is located on a USB Flash drive, stop your Mac, connect the USB key, restart and hold down the alt/option key and select the Windows icon in the USB port. This installs Windows in BIOS mode. If you click the start EFI icon, it will install using the EFI mode (faster). You may need to change the partition from MBR to GPT using GPT Fdisk.

  • BootCamp + Windows 8.1 and Windows 10: trackpad and keyboard bluetooth always unsuccessful pairing

My computer is a model of end 2011 of 13-inch MacBook Pro. I use an external 27 "monitor and bluetooth trackpad and keyboard. Until the last week of July, 2016 that I used with Windows 8 with BootCamp 5, nicely. Then I got a message that Windows 8 would be not updated for critical and security updates. I decided to upgrade to 8.1 Windows but the trackpad wireless works intermittently, and the wireless keyboard is not working at all. I get a message to pair, but the pairing is always unsuccessful. Then I upgraded to Windows 10 and the same problems with wireless keyboard and trackpad.

Does anyone have a solution? Thank you

You can try this. UN-pair external Apple Trackpad and keyboard on the side OSX, pair it with test first, and then pair on the side Windows OSX.

  • BootCamp Windows 10 questions

    Hello

    I have a 27 "iMac late 2015, retina - 5 k, bought a few months ago and El Capitan (OS X 10.11.5) running

I recently bought a 10 Windows in order to create a dual boot. Of course, as I write here, it did not work.

    I tried everything I could.

First, using the key provided with the Win10 USB I created an ISO. I placed this ISO on another USB drive and follow the instructions in using BootCamp I would get an error in this direction: BootCamp does not install, there was not enough space to create a partition. -Obviously I have a lot of space.

Secondly, I copied the ISO on my desktop and restarted the process. Same result.

Thirdly, I downloaded an ISO Win10 of MS, placed on the desktop and restarted the process. In this way, BootCamp has been able to create a partition and the computer restarts and you are prompted to install windows. After inputing the windows product key, I chose the "BOOTCAMP", formatted drive (to be noted that the name has changed), selected it and after hitting "Next", I get an error something like this: we could not create a new partition or locate an existing one. For more information, see installation logs.

    Any suggestions?

    1. use the ISO downloaded from Microsoft. It should be an ISO only 64-bit. It cannot be mixed.

2 put the ISO in the Documents folder and do not.

    3. disconnect the external storage and perform the following two procedures.

Reset the management system (SCM) controller on your Mac - Apple Support

How to reset the NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

    4. run the wizard of BC and try to install Windows.

    5. Please visit https://help.apple.com/bootcamp/assistant/6.0/#/bcmp173b3bf2 for the detailed steps for your model. Your model does not use the USB for Windows installation, and does not support the creation of a Windows USB Installer. Do not change the file info.plist Bootcamp to create a workaround solution. It will cause other problems.
