Bootloader unlocked

Motorola said that the bootloader is unlocked for the GSM version, according to the carrier. I am of the India and the handset is NOT a carrier brand. Why the bootloader is still blocked? I tried to run a fastboot oem unlock and it returned a negative.

Allow me to quote Motorola Europe Facebook, published 29/12 (in the comments):

«the team continues to work through plans on a version of unlock for Europe and hope to have details in the next week or so now when which could actually reach the market.» That of all we have for now but looks like details may be coming. »

I bought a Motorola Droid Turbo XT1254 in Pakistan and that you want to unlock the bootloader, so I can it root and use Titanium Backup to backup/restore my apps and games. Please give me the bootloader unlock that I'm not in the United States and don't use SIM card code or Verizon services. I can provide all the information required to generate a bootloader unlock code. It is not a State secret and Verizon should allow Motorola give codes as they do for all other phones unlock.

  • I WANT my Xperia Z to BE open-source (bootloader unlock allowed = no) HOW to fix!

Dear Sony, I'm about to start swearing and screaming and running around my apartment. Here's the thing: I live in Russia, and I bought my Xperia from Z via Internet. As I found out, my phone is from England, but it IS unlocked and works with ANY operator in the world, for example, T-Mobile, Movistar etc. So, I tried to install AOSPS on my device. But, what do you think, bootloader unlock aloowed is no. I ask a SIMPLE question: how the hell am I supposed to use the open program source if my unlocked phone is actually INCREDIBLY locked? I've heard of the mysterious unlock codes, so I want one of them, because I bought a $ 1,000 phone, hoping to get the best Android device, when locking the bootloader ruined my plans. Thanks in advance, dear Sony.

Unfortunately, even if the handset is not locked to a network it still seems that your device has been made for a particular network, who chose to have the unlockable bootloader. Unfortunately there is no way to change this.

  • Bootloader unlock allowed: No.... SONY fix it, please!

    Hello!

First of all, sorry for my bad English. I have not found another forum where to ask this question.

Apparently, the Spanish carrier Movistar and Sony have reached an agreement whereby, we provide a way to allow unlocking bootloader (which is not the same thing to "unlock the bootloader". We want our mobile says: "Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes").

The problem is that Sony does not provide the solution to contact them by e-mail, as indicated by their community manager in his official of Movistar support forum.

If Sony is a reputable company, I wonder if they think that to solve this problem, or they will follow the footsteps of others such as HTC, making excuses for not responding to the request of several users.

    A welcome message.

    Hi all

I've confirmed that if you get your SIM card unlock code of Movistar, you can contact our office (+ 34 902 88 22 50) and they will work with you to make the Arragement with them to have a technician unlock the bootloader. The boot loader must be unlocked by a technician, it can be done via the PC, etc.

It's something local office knows and will treat for you if you meet the criteria above.

  • Status of rooting > Bootloader unlock allowed? > Not: why?

If like many people I would like to customize my phone with a different stock imageto. I have done before with the HTC phones and earlier this year, which is set to update for the Xperia Z2, with the intention of flashing when a stable version is out of cyanogen.

Finally got around to do this and after some confusion between twenty minutes trying to get in fastboot, I learn that on his page of service his status of rooting, bootloader unlock is not allowed.

I read that this is not the case for all Z2s, that must be met, as otherwise there would be none built for her.

What I would like to know is two things.

    (1) why it is not on my phone?

    (2) is it what can I do about it?

Hello and welcome to the community! Since you are new, please make sure that you have checked our Forum.

Often, when the State says no, it is because the phone is locked to an operator. Thus, the phone has specific customization that does not allow this. If the State says no, it is not possible to unlock the bootloader.

  • Bootloader unlocked, lost partition TA and DRM keys, Sony can fix?

    Hey,.

Unlocked the bootloader and installed CM. As a result, I lost my DRM keys and the partition of TA. While CM works very well, I would like to get my phone to the State wherever he was when he came out of the factory. I know that it's out of warranty, but does anyone know if Sony can solve this, and what it would cost me?

    Thanks in advance!

The question was from Sony can fix it and the answer is not however if you want in stock with DRM keys then this would require a new motherboard

  • Z3C Bootloader unlock (D5803)

Is it possible to determine before buying the phone that the bootloader will be unlock?  I really like this phone, but I want to unlock bootloader.  From what I can tell, the only way to do so is the service menu after turning on the phone, what does not work as well when you order it onlin (which is the only way to get it).

    @themadwizard

There are here in the USA Sony stores and carry the Z3 Compact, like BestBuy, etc..

That said, you should be able to unlock the bootloader if you indeed have the international version, if you bought elsewhere, maybe online, maybe the user flashed the global generic firmware to a branded phone previously.

  • Have a bootloader unlock unlock code still says NO - there must be a way? Advice?

Last year I bought a network locked xperia u - now obiously with updates, the device has slowed to a crawl and I started to throw the thing around the room in frustration (apparently running a facebook, g + and twitter app + ICS is too large for the device :/))

So having taken realize I made a mistake by buying the U I bought a unlocked SP that is running much better. But now I want to play with the U - I just want to remove some of the bloatware off just to satisfy my curiosity it can work better.

The question I have is that the bootloader is defined on no. Now that I have read a lot of discussion on this issue, but they seem to all go off on a tangent and seem to never answer the question.

So my question is if you have the unlock code from the operator can you unlock the bootloader and if so, how? I inserted a different operator SIM in the you and entered the code but the bootload remained 'NO '.

Any advice? And please note that I am new to this sort of thing, but eager to learn - however, if you try and install some bloatware on me by burst of hot air is not anywhere as some of the threads I've seen and wasting my time so get ready for a bore!

    Thanks for reading

You can not unlock the bootloader. It seems that this phone has been locked on a carrier/network at any given time, this is why you can not unlock the bootloader, you can SIM free / unlock the phone to be used with any other carrier/network, you can even Flash a different firmware, but still you will not be able to unlock the bootloader
