  First of all, let me disabuse you of a misconception: Adobe all upgrades are FULL installers.  If you buy upgrades or new versions does not have one iota of difference.  Upgrade installation programs do not need to find a previous version installed, they invite you just for the old serial number as well as the old one and they are not based on the old version in the slightest.

  Second, the time to uninstall an earlier version is BEFORE upgrading to a newer version.  If not, uninstall older versions will mess up with your new installation.  There are a gazillion of the files that are named the same and in the same locations as the other.

  Your best bet now is to uninstall ALL versions of Photoshop, you have it installed, including the newest one, one by one, and then run the Adobe CS clean-up tool, and then run repair permissions of the Apple desktop utility and finally reinstall the latest version.

  The other alternative, if your boot HD is quite large (very questionable in the case of a laptop as a Mac Book), is to leave all the versions on this subject.

  Your choice.

  Hello! I got this message from malware (I clicked to delete) in surfing on firefox and after awhile the explorer.exe closes with an error. I try to open the Task Manager and it says explore cannot be found!

  Restore point:

  Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

  Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

  Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

  If the above does not work, try to make a Bootable ERD to do a Startup Repair:

  As is the case with most computers/laptops these days, they do not come with good Vista disc to repair only the recovery disks.

  As your falls into the above category: download the ISO on the provided link and do a repair of the disc.

  Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

  At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

  When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

  You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.

  Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

  Firefox 3.6.4 and 3.6.6 use a process called, "plugin - container.exe" who was using much of my CPU when I open several tabs containing Adobe Flash files and locked up Firefox.

  My solution is to use Firefox 3.5.10, which you can get on the Mozilla site at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
  I use Adobe Flash 10.1.53.64 without any problem in this version of Firefox. Check the date of issue, in my opinion, it contains all the latest security fixes in "Firefox 3.6.4".

  Your second proposal is correct - as the updates to the BIOS on the HP site are specific to the OS version and if you try to run one for Win7 in Win10, it will refuse to run.

  The best way to proceed is to keep going to the Microsoft Update Web site and it works until there is no more Important updates on the left.

  If you want a few shortcuts:
  Windows XP SP3
  Internet explore 8
  .NET framework 4

  Run and install the three above in that order (SP3, IE8, .NET 4) and heading to the Microsoft Update Web site will give you the best time in obtaining all the updates that are installed.

  After much research and effort, I finally managed to get Technical Support. And 2 hours later, to support live yesterday evening, my PS seems to work again! Some files have been deleted a couple of folders and files in a folder of 65 were withdrawn. I have no idea what they were, but it worked (for the moment). If someone else getting this 'loop' technical support is a must because I have no idea what the files were etc.
